Yesterday was my dad's 90th birthday and we celebrated at Thistle Court with family and his extended family of the home. As always the care that my father is shown is excellent, he is always clean and tidy and kept smart. This is his seventh year of celebrating his birthday here and as always the
staff go above and beyond in making it a very special time! Thank you once again for looking after a very special man.

Family and friends were invited to join the Thistle Court Family for a Halloween BBQ, my daughter and grandchildren went along to join in the fun with games and pumpkin carving the BBQ was a delight with hot chocolate cream and marshmallows. We had a great time. We as a family would like to say a
big thank you to all the staff for the support and care that our dad has from them every day.

After a bumpy start, my mam has settled well in Thistle Court due to one person of contact and me living in Germany. We had starting problems, but after speaking to the staff and management all the problems were quickly solved. Mam's care is very good she is better settled and is making good
progress. Mam is a difficult case but the staff take time with her and the general situation is good even on 'bad days'. The staff/management shows great care for her welfare. Thanks to regular telephone calls/email contact about all things affecting mam - the doctor, social services, health, mobility etc. I am happy my mam is in a safe and caring environment. Thank you all.

I find the staff at Thistle Court to be dedicated and approachable. They have a tough job and occasionally minor things like clearance of used crockery or general tidiness of rooms can be overlooked but in terms of care, I cannot fault them. They try to encourage health and activity as well as
mental well-being. I applaud them.

When we were allowed to visit the home back in February, I sat outside having a glass of wine with my friend. It was so normal like we were sat in her back garden. I don't usually write reviews but felt the need to do something better than just saying a thank you to the staff, they all seemed so
kind and nothing was too much for them.

My sister has been living at Thistle Court for the past 2 years and I thanked the staff nurse for the care shown to her. I visited my sister yesterday, knowing that she was fading fast, she was propped up on three pillows making her as comfortable as possible, she had not eaten or drunk for 3 days
but her mouth was moist and clean. She was spotlessly clean, not a sign of a bed sore. I lost my husband to dementia and he did not receive the care my sister did (different care home). Not only does it make a difference to the patient's well-being but also to the relatives to know their loved one is cared for so well. I cannot thank them enough for what they did for my sister. She died today.
