This nursing home has had a number of changes in management in the last 2-3 years. I have a great respect for the present manager, who has had to incorporate new working priorities. Some staff don't like change, but she has now done this, and we are now finding a smoother and happier environment.
The staff don't have an easy job, but they carry out their work very well.

My Nana stayed here for respite care, the staff were lovely and the home was very welcoming. Management were friendly and attentive to all our needs as a family. We could not recommend Hazelgrove more!

Mam came to Hazelgrove in March. The staff have been amazing and have helped us all to get used to our new way of life. The staff and management are all very approachable and helpful. Mam has some lovely meals and is always clean & dressed lovely.

Useless, rude and frankly managed by a person who often lies to me. The staff used to be great under previous management. I have no idea what happened. Sack the management and appoint someone who cares about residents and families.

I could not fault the care given to my husband. The staff at Hazelgrove are amazing. They give the home a friendly, homely atmosphere.
The furnishings and carpet in the lounge are however are ready for replacing.
The food and activities are also excellent.

My mum and dad are both in this nursing home. The care and compassion of the staff is second to none. I feel a sense of relief knowing they are so well looked after. This past month while I haven't been too well myself it's given me immense comfort knowing they are extremely well looked after.
The
entertainment is amazing I would highly recommend Hazlegrove Court.

My mum had had wonderful care. Staff are warm, attentive and friendly.
There are daily activities which Mum can choose to take part in or decide not to. There is no coercion. She's encouraged to socialise with other residents which is great because she can be shy.
The work put in to celebrate her
recent birthday was brilliant. A choir which she really enjoyed and then a local biker group. She was so excited.

My gran is so well looked after here. We are welcome to visit anytime of day or night. They always welcome us, they know exactly where Gran is and they always bring drinks, food, medicine. We are also able to make our own drinks which gives my gran a real feeling of independence. In summary the care
she receives is brilliant.

Thank you to all the staff, especially the nursing team. Because of them, my uncle is still alive and well. Each and every member of the staff are very kind and adapt to his difficulties and needs, 24 hours a day.

This is a lovely home, the staff are absolute angels who show such care and compassion for each resident. The lounge is a lovely room, the residents sit watching telly and chatting which is so nice to see. There are always activities going on. I’d absolutely recommend this home to people as they can
be safe in the knowledge that their family member will be well taken care of.

Hazelgrove Court Nursing Home is a good, purpose-built care nursing home. My mum has been a resident since April 2022 following the closure of her previous home. Mum had a nice room, although still waiting for the carpet to be replaced. The manager and nursing staff are excellent and look after Mum
in a comprehensive way. They are inclusive and provide me with all the information I need regarding Mum's care/medication. I have power of attorney for money and care. The staff are respectful of Mum and her capacity to make some decisions. The manager is working hard to upgrade the home but this is a struggle with inflation and those responsible for purchasing. The home has some very poorly residents resulting in a large amount of equipment in the second lounge.

My husband has been a resident since May 2019. The care and love shown to him, me and family has been amazing and so happy that we were able to get him into Hazlegrove. He settled within a few days, I know he is content, happy and safe thanks to everyone who works and looks after him.

Hazelgrove Court Nursing Home is a very reassuring place to care for a person you love.
The residents are given utmost care in comfort and personal care.
There are activities which are arranged by one person which are "outward bound" and very "different" and take a lot of organising. ie. bicycle
ride which residents really enjoyed. Visits to a planetarium which was really enjoys, also many others.

We would just like to say how we very much appreciated the way the staff provided excellent care to our parents and treated them with dignity and respect and went the extra mile in making our dads last days comfortable and Mums end of life care exceptional, we can't thank them enough for everything
they have done.

It's so severely understaffed that they don't even have time to take care of resident's basic needs, my grandmother often has dirty hands, face, eyes, and filthy nails which to be honest we don't know how it's possible because she had no movement in her left side so not sure how those nails get
dirty and she's meant to wear a cotton glove on her right hand to prevent her scratching herself due to having reactions to the foam they use to clean her. She is still covered in scratches despite the fact that she is meant to wear the gloves all the time. There are things left in her room that should never be left in a resident's room and it often smells awful. Staff sometimes put the call button on her left-hand side which she can't press or reach with her right hand. Even her private physiotherapist has contacted my mam with concerns over my grandma's appearance and the state of her bedroom. We have been so horrified by some things we are having to move her which is making her anxious.

My wife was admitted to Hazelgrove Court care home on discharge from hospital in July 2018. She was bedridden and in need of 24/7 nursing care. At first she was uncomfortable being away from her home, but thanks to the care she received came to regard Hazelgrove as her home. The carers at the home
showed her respect, affection and even love. I cannot praise them enough for the care they showed my wife. They even showed me the same care on my daily visits. I got to know and feel affection for them all because of their dedication to their residents. The homes nursing staff also showed the same dedication. Entertainment and other activities are regularly organised for the residents and the whole home is efficiently run by the manager.
I unreservedly recommend Hazelgrove Court for the care of your loved ones.

The manager and all the staff went above and beyond nursing my dad in the last few weeks of his life. The love, care and support to dad and us as a family was unbelievable! Feeding us and giving us beds whilst we stayed by his side around the clock in the last 15 days of his life. Can't thank them
enough.

My brother passed away in the care home and lived there for 6 years. He was very well looked after by each member of staff from day one until the day he passed.
