View Full Details of Richmond House Care HomeI really can't do this! There are dozens of people working here. They are all individuals and can't be reported on en masse. Most of the carers who work for the residents are good, but just a few are uncaring, slapdash or not suitable. Others are "simpatico" and friendly, putting people at their ease and doing what is required. For example, an individual dressing an old lady may be uncaring, rough or not doing their job properly. (It's like being dressed by "Just William") As I told the nurse, "I am 86, you know!" Some carers don't look at you and keep listening. This is essential. But I would say 90% are very good!
From the start of my husbands stay, it felt like he was in safe hands and looked after. The team at Richmond House did their upmost to help and make me feel involved.
Clean rooms and friendly staff, just very hard pushed with staff numbers to clients.
I was transferred from hospital after a an amputation. I lost all five toes on my right foot. I was transferred to Richmond House for rehab, the physio worked with me to help me walk again so I could go home. The staff were helpful kind and friendly. They helped in early day to wash and dress, and supervise me when I started walking on my zimmer frame, until I was able to be independent and do things myself. You have wonderful staff who care for the residents and do their job 100%. The food was good some very nice meals. Excellent chef.
My wife was treated with courtesy, kindness and efficiency.
The staff can not do enough for me. I feel loved and cared for. Anything I need it is there, I thank you all for the excellent care I get from everybody I am happy everyday. The food is very good. It is amazing here, Thank you.
My father lived in Richmond House for almost 2 years. The staff became part of his family and he called the place his home. I can't praise them enough.
My husband has been a resident from Dec 24 till now he was quite nervous prior to coming here and I also had massive reservations as he'd had a bad experience prior to coming here in another facility - Happily I can confirm mine and my husband's fears were unnecessary. I have photos taken at Christmas time here and a photo taken last week the difference in my husband is amazing, he is very happy here and as a result I am also a very happy wife and can settle knowing he's really cared for, Thank you so very much.
In the two years my wife was in the nursing home her care was the best that we knew, better care than when she was in hospital. She came from hospital and we noticed the difference in her care and comfort she had. The staff could not do enough for her or any of the people in their care. Upon her passing, I know that the care given was far better than she would have received anywhere else.
Lovely care home, staff very friendly and treat my mum with dignity and compassion. Staff are supportive towards my mum and her family, and are always happy to help.
I wasn't very happy that my husband was being put in a care home, I really was dead against it, but having been in Richmond House I was so glad he did go in there. He was made to feel welcome, the staff were very attentive, the food was good and he said he would go back in if he had to. Only drawback is, he wasn't able to do anything much because of him possibly falling and he did a lot of sitting, which he did find frustrating.
My mum was taken into care after being seriously ill in hospital not eating or drinking and 7 stone. Since being a resident at Richmond House Mum has put on almost 2 stone and has 3 healthy meals a day and snacks in-between. She has really progressed rapidly and the staff are all so compassionate and committed to their roles. She has friends, activities, and lots of stimulation, just amazed at how well Mum's care has been. Thank you for giving me my mum back.
My dad was well cared for by the staff. I was always made welcome. The staff always made a fuss of my young children too. Dad enjoyed his short time there doing the rehab.
I didn't part take in any activities because there were none, but the staff was mostly amazing.
I have transferred here from hospital one week ago. I have been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. My room is very clean and spacious.
My mum was a full-time nursing resident since her discharge from hospital earlier this year, I have to say I have been in many nursing homes over the years working for the NHS myself - the care dignity and respect given by all the staff was fantastic - very homely, very caring, very clean and excellent nutritional food, unfortunately my mum was suffering from a long term illness and sadly passed away most recently, her needs and ours were met to the very end and we wouldn't have chosen any other home or care system. Thank you to all the staff for everything you did for my mum, you have been outstanding at such a very sad time for my family.
Great staff - well looked after.
I think Richmond House is excellent, the food is very nice and the staff are caring and excellent.
I feel very safe and very happy here. Thank you.
The very best. Happy with everything.
