On behalf of my grandma I can say that her time at Richmond House has been a progressive experience. She will be leaving being able to walk unassisted, dressing herself and feeding herself. After undergoing a spinal operation this is fantastic for my grandma and family as she will be returning home soon. All of this is due to the caring and attentive staff and physios.
Fantastic experience in my recovery of fractured right hip. Lovely, friendly staff providing care and compassion. All staff displayed dignity and kindness to me throughout my stay. The atmosphere here enhanced my recovery enormously. Thank you to all who work here for your happy, caring personalities.
I would have no problem recommending Richmond House at Leigh for any family member or friend.
The care and compassion is second to none. Cleanliness is very apparent so is the curtesy of the staff that work there.
The staff treat my father with absolute respect and treat him as one could only wish for.
Well done Richmond House.
Richmond House provided great care to my mum after leaving hospital. The rooms were clean and provided everything required for her stay. Staff were friendly, attentive and really helpful.
Very nice place for my rehabilitation. Friendly staff, food good. Physio's very good. Everyone is gentle and caring.
Found all staff lovely and eager to help, even though rushed off their feet.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We are pleased to hear that you found our staff lovely and eager to help, even during very busy periods. We regularly review our staffing levels in line with residents changing needs and dependency, to ensure safe and effective care is maintained. Your...
I really can't do this! There are dozens of people working here. They are all individuals and can't be reported on en masse. Most of the carers who work for the residents are good, but just a few are uncaring, slapdash or not suitable. Others are "simpatico" and friendly, putting people at their ease and doing what is required. For example, an individual dressing an old lady may be uncaring, rough or not doing their job properly. (It's like being dressed by "Just William") As I told the nurse, "I am 86, you know!" Some carers don't look at you and keep listening. This is essential. But I would say 90% are very good!
Thank you for your review. We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are pleased you think most of our team are providing care that makes residents feel comfortable and supported. We are sorry a few experiences fell short of expectations; your comments are...
From the start of my husbands stay, it felt like he was in safe hands and looked after. The team at Richmond House did their upmost to help and make me feel involved.
Clean rooms and friendly staff, just very hard pushed with staff numbers to clients.

I was transferred from hospital after a an amputation. I lost all five toes on my right foot. I was transferred to Richmond House for rehab, the physio worked with me to help me walk again so I could go home. The staff were helpful kind and friendly. They helped in early day to wash and dress, and supervise me when I started walking on my zimmer frame, until I was able to be independent and do things myself. You have wonderful staff who care for the residents and do their job 100%. The food was good some very nice meals. Excellent chef.
My wife was treated with courtesy, kindness and efficiency.
The staff can not do enough for me. I feel loved and cared for. Anything I need it is there, I thank you all for the excellent care I get from everybody I am happy everyday. The food is very good. It is amazing here, Thank you.
I can't praise them enough.
My husband has been a resident from Dec 24 till now he was quite nervous prior to coming here and I also had massive reservations as he'd had a bad experience prior to coming here in another facility - Happily I can confirm mine and my husband's fears were unnecessary. I have photos taken at Christmas time here and a photo taken last week the difference in my husband is amazing, he is very happy here and as a result I am also a very happy wife and can settle knowing he's really cared for, Thank you so very much.
In the two years my wife was in the nursing home her care was the best that we knew, better care than when she was in hospital. She came from hospital and we noticed the difference in her care and comfort she had. The staff could not do enough for her or any of the people in their care. Upon her passing, I know that the care given was far better than she would have received anywhere else.
Lovely care home, staff very friendly and treat my mum with dignity and compassion. Staff are supportive towards my mum and her family, and are always happy to help.
I wasn't very happy that my husband was being put in a care home, I really was dead against it, but having been in Richmond House I was so glad he did go in there. He was made to feel welcome, the staff were very attentive, the food was good and he said he would go back in if he had to. Only drawback is, he wasn't able to do anything much because of him possibly falling and he did a lot of sitting, which he did find frustrating.
Since being a resident at Richmond House Mum has put on almost 2 stone and has 3 healthy meals a day and snacks in-between.
She has really progressed rapidly and the staff are all so compassionate and committed to their roles.
She has friends, activities, and lots of stimulation, just amazed at how well Mum's care has been.
Thank you for giving me my mum back.
My dad was well cared for by the staff. I was always made welcome. The staff always made a fuss of my young children too. Dad enjoyed his short time there doing the rehab.
I didn't part take in any activities because there were none, but the staff was mostly amazing.
