I have transferred here from hospital one week ago. I have been treated with the utmost respect and dignity. My room is very clean and spacious.
My mum was a full-time nursing resident since her discharge from hospital earlier this year, I have to say I have been in many nursing homes over the years working for the NHS myself - the care dignity and respect given by all the staff was fantastic - very homely, very caring, very clean and excellent nutritional food, unfortunately my mum was suffering from a long term illness and sadly passed away most recently, her needs and ours were met to the very end and we wouldn't have chosen any other home or care system. Thank you to all the staff for everything you did for my mum, you have been outstanding at such a very sad time for my family.
Dear Julie, We are pleased to hear you were very happy with the quality of care your mum received at Richmond House Care Home and we will ensure your kind words are shared with the team. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a positive review of our home at this difficult time, please accept our sincere condolences to you and your family.
Great staff - well looked after.
I think Richmond House is excellent, the food is very nice and the staff are caring and excellent.
I feel very safe and very happy here. Thank you.
The very best. Happy with everything.
I only stayed a couple of weeks. The room was clean but the bed wasn't comfortable. The food was poor the first week but improved in the second week. Physio worked hard with me and were always pleasant which could not be said for some of the other carers. I didn't use facilities or pay so cannot rate them.
Thank you for providing feedback on your stay with us at Richmond House. We are sorry to hear your overall experience was not all positive. We ask that you contact our Home Manager at Richmond House, so we can explore these issues in more detail.
I spent 2 weeks at Richmond House recently. All staff were very helpful and got me walking. I am at home now and doing okay.
Although my wife is bedridden, she has been treated with great care and dignity, although I have not been able to compare, the care and attention has been very good, both in staff and management.
All staff both registered nurses and carers as well as office staff always attentive to his/our needs. Thanking you immensely.
But despite these difficulties, all the employees were very attentive to me.
Many thanks to this great home for their skills with which you supported me. Thank you so so much.
The rooms are comfortable and standards of hygiene is commendable.
Thank you so very much.
The rehabilitation program is second to none, with regular visits from the physio team and other medical professionals to ensure your stay is comfortable.
We have had an experience with a very poor care home in the past so please trust me when I say Richmond House are the best! If I were to need a care home for myself in the future I'd be staying with them, I'd be going nowhere else.
My dad was looked after at the end of his life, and the whole team at Richmond House were amazing, kind, compassionate, highly professional and always willing to spare time out of their busy schedules to support and assist my family and me, in addition to my dad. The facilities are good - single rooms of a decent size, each with a private ensuite, nice eating and kitchenette areas on each floor, and excellent food in terms of both quality and variety. But is it essentially the team of people at all levels that makes this place so special.
Good service from manager and staff.
Always a lovely and friendly welcome from the staff, who work extremely hard. The physio is marvellous enabling my husband to walk a short distance after three sessions. The teamwork is definitely shown and I would wholeheartedly recommend Richmond House Care Home without hesitation.
My review is good. They do all they can for my wife at any time of the day.
The care my mother received was excellent, she was well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble.
My husband was admitted for a period of rehab following discharge from hospital. Unfortunately whilst in hospital, he contracted covid, and as a result of which because of a number of underlying health issues, he didn't seem to pick up and was reluctant to cooperate with the physios. In addition following covid he found it difficult to swallow, and as a result, couldn't eat or drink normally. The staff went out of their way to try to get him to eat and drink, but as time went on he gradually went downhill. As a consequence, he was admitted to hospital on the 27th of July where he died the following morning. I cannot praise the staff at the home enough for the way they looked after him under what on some days were difficult circumstances.
My husband was a resident for two weeks after a stay of six weeks in hospital. He was very well looked after. The staff were patient and caring and nothing was too much trouble. He needed a lot of personal care and he was treated with dignity. He had physio to help with mobility.
