Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Thank you for your positive comments regarding the care provision at Richmond House and the respect shown to your father who resided in our intermediate care unit. This is a very busy unit which provides people with intensive rehabilitation to allow them to return home. We have reviewed the serving temperature of the food following your comments as well as the probe temperatures at the point of service. Additionally, the home manager and deputy will carry out spot checks on this and will seek feedback from our residents. We have recently had a new nurse call system installed at the home, have reviewed your concerns regarding trailing leads and we have requested a number of pendants for our more independent residents to use when in their rooms.

As a Registered Nurse, Lorraine has gained over 35 years’ experience in providing care and support to older people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.
Having worked at Richmond House for a number of years, Lorraine shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Richmond House.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Lorraine remarked: “Knowing that I can go home at the end of the day leaving my residents happy and well cared for.”
Away from work, Lorraine enjoys swimming, watching Rugby League and DIY.
