A very good experience. The care and attention are excellent. The staff are very caring and always give that little bit extra to make life easier. An example of their extra care was when I first arrived, there was no TV in my room but one of the staff brought one from their own home and this has made a great difference to my stay.
My mum stayed here for 3 weeks after being in the hospital. From arriving to departing she really progressed from not being able to stand up unaided, to walking the length of the corridors today rooms etc. The care she had was excellent, with all staff so helpful. The gentleman manager at the moment is brilliant and so kind. Nothing too much trouble. Definitely, recommend this care home for a short stay or permanent residency. Menus always on display for residents and family to see. Lovely!
My Mum went for three weeks rehabilitation following two weeks in hospital after suffering a heart attack. The care that she received at Richmond House has been second to none. I cannot thank you all enough.
I have had a very good stay at Richmond House Care Home. The carers look after you very well. They help you with getting back on your feet.
I was treated with respect. The staff were very obliging. I had a pleasant room and my own bathroom which was appreciated. The food, on the whole, was quite good. I have only a small appetite and found sometimes the meals a bit overwhelming. I just like plain food. Drinks were constantly provided and nothing seemed too much trouble.
We initially requested Richmond House for its reputation for intermediate care and can honestly say that this was the best choice ever. Whilst a resident for 3 weeks, mum was cared for with great respect from the professional, a dedicated and fantastic team of workers. She felt very safe in this environment which in turn helped the family feel confident in her recovery.
The kindness shown was second to none. Thank you from all the family.
The staff in this home always show respect and care towards the residents. Not once in the 3 weeks, my father was in, did I see any signs of exasperation towards any of the residents or relatives. Not easy when the staff are so very busy. Do feel they could do with more colleagues. From a health and safety point of view, there needs to be emergency pull cords on both sides of the room. Wires strung across the floor are a danger to patients, staff and visitors. The food does need to be served at a higher temperature. Many thanks for the excellent care.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Thank you for your positive comments regarding the care provision at Richmond House and the respect shown to your father who resided in our intermediate care unit. This is a very busy unit which...
Well looked after.
Always on hand to see to you. Made to feel comfortable straight away.
Felt very at home.
Really friendly and very capable staff. Always helpful when needed.
The staff were all very helpful.
The only downfall is leaving clients/residents/patients on the toilet for too long.
My mother suffers from spinal and rib fractures but was able to walk to the toilet with a staff nurse and stick. She needed a wee and was left on the toilet, she buzzed for staff to get her off. No-one came, was in agony and had to get herself off the toilet and back to bed. Saw this happen to other people.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. The nurse call system has recently been upgraded and following your comments received we instigated a maintenance review with the contractors who were commissioned to fit the new nurse call...
Overall a positive experience for a first time user of this service with helpful friendly staff. The only negative I have to say is the food is low budget, with not enough choice and sometimes quite bland.
Thank you for your review; we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are delighted to hear your experience with us has been a positive one. We have taken on board your comments in respect of the food and have asked our Hospitality Team to review the menus and food choices we offer. We hope you will notice the improvements during any future visits.
I found Richmond House very accommodating and friendly. Food was good and got me eating again.
Lovely dining room set with proper tablecloths and food very good and varied. Mum came for 2 weeks rehabilitation; all the staff and carers extremely kind, patient and helpful and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Richmond House.
Mum's intermediate care followed a lengthy spell in hospital after breaking her leg. At 91 years old, this care was to be extensive and often painful. The staff at Richmond House Nursing Home were so professional in their approach to mum's needs. The level of care has been outstanding.
Here for rehab, very good staff, clean, caring. Food is good. Friendly environment, physio had me walking in a week, brilliant. Would recommend.
I have enjoyed my stay at Richmond House, everyone has been so nice to me. Thank you for looking after me. I am going to miss you all.
Excellent staff which use their abilities well. Found it difficult to walk with Zimmer, with help and guidance I was walking unaided by myself within 3 days. Staff encouraged me every day until I was efficient.
I could not fault the way they looked after my mother and treated with respect.
Pleasant experience.
Staff are pleasant and helpful.
Food and amenities are of a good standard.
