As soon as my mum walked into Lavenders, she knew it was the right place for her. She was fed up with living until she moved in.
My mum loved living at Lavenders, it's a warm, friendly, well-established home with friendly , caring staff and residents that openly welcomed her. She had a new lease of
life, it was wonderful to watch - she bloomed.
She loved the home cooked food on offer and the cooks were happy to talk to her to adjust meal size to her needs. She was always telling us what was on the menu.
Unfortunately, she was only there for a short time, but long enough to know that she was happy there. She had her own room . There is plenty of activities to do which she joined in and loved.
She had as much help with her needs as she needed, still keeping her independence, going for walks around the lovely grounds or the town/park nearby or out in the car with us.
It's a shame that she couldn't have more time at Lavenders - she loved it. Thank you for looking after her!

We are very happy with the care our mother receives at Lavenders. Staff are very caring of the residents and friendly to visitors. Food is of an excellent standard with a wide variety of menus. The building and grounds are kept clean and tidy. Complaints and queries are dealt with swiftly.
There are a variety of activities for the residents to take part in on a daily basis.

Lavenders is in a beautiful setting with well kept gardens. Staff are super and caring. Plenty of activities for residents to enjoy. Food is good with a varied menu. I would certainly recommend Lavenders to others.

My mother has lived at Lavenders now for nearly 2 years. She is very happy at Lavenders and she now refers to Lavenders as her home. I have always found the staff to be very kind, professional and attentive to my mothers needs. My mothers overall experience has been excellent from start to date.
We have never had any significant issues and all requests however small have been actioned promptly. Lavenders is definitely a home from home experience. A big thank you to all the staff.

My brother urgently needed respite care at very short notice and Lavenders immediately offered him a very pleasant room. He was unsure but quickly appreciated all that Lavenders offer. As we hoped, he accepted he could no longer live at his home and, as he had a very short life expectancy, chose to
spend his remaining time there. I cannot praise the home enough for its care and the homely feeling it emanates. All staff gave excellent care and kindness.
I would recommend Lavenders wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a care home.

This is my first experience of a care home. Excellence is the word I use and mean in connection with this home.
I am impressed with the width of care which includes stimulation of residents in very pleasant ways from music to playing games. Therapeutic care is beneficial all round it seems.
The
level of friendliness, love ad care of the staff, impresses and is reflected in the peace and happiness of those in care.
I cannot fault anything other than difficult passing at busy times.

My aunt only been here a couple of months but has settled down really well which was a big worry of mine.
The carers are absolutely lovely but I feel that sometimes they are over whelmed with amount that they have but they do everything with a smile.,

I have been a resident here for just over a year now and I would recommend Lavender's Care Home wholeheartedly to anyone who needs to move into one.
The staff will do anything you ask for and quickly become your friends. We have a high class chef and the food is excellent. There is a lot lovely
feeling of freedom and I can wander round the garden alone deadheadding the roses if I want to. We have a lovely Gardener's Club when we are given a waist high plot to grow flowers or vegetables which the kitchen will cook specially
We have a brilliant activities lady who conducts all sorts of entertainments including exercise sessions, poetry reading, classical music,and singing and dancing sessions.
I would say that this is a very happy place to be if you have to be in a Care Home.

My mum has been in Lavenders care home for a year now and the whole family are really happy with how mum has settled in. The best part is that mum feels at home here with some lovely friends that she has made and the team that work here are lovely and very caring.

gone by come in to see mum and they have told their children that Lavenders is for them once they are not so independent.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Lavenders since February 2024, is well settled, and very happy indeed. Both my parents have now joined her and we cannot rate Lavenders highly enough. It is superbly well run, with kind, attentive and experienced staff, which is, in our experience, not easy to
find.
The meals provided are delicious, of extremely high quality, and much enjoyed by our three nonagenarian parents. High praise to the chef(s).
We feel so very fortunate to have Lavenders close by and would recommend it highly to anyone considering a care home for their loved ones. Thank you Lavenders, for your wonderful managerial staff and all the amazing team that make this home an exceptionally happy place.

First expressions:
Quiet and tranquil location and setting.
Friendly staff throughout, very attentive putting residents' needs first.
Hotel feel with freedom to move around premises.
Ample lounges allowing families to meet.
The moving-in experience was seamless and the team on hand to
facilitate Dad's needs from entering made him relax.
Food options and quality are very good.
Dad is relaxed and comfortable within his surroundings.
Room pleasant but small however option to move to a larger room are available on availability.
Facility very clean.

Our father has now been a resident at Lavenders for 6 weeks, he has settled in well and says he is really happy. This is due to the excellent caring staff he has. Whenever I visit they make me feel very welcome and if we have any questions to ask, they always come back as soon as possible with an
answer.
He's worried about putting weight on, due to the top-notch food they serve each day.
Thank you all for helping our dad settle in.

Where do I start. The first time I walked through the door to look around for Mum. I knew it was the right place for her and she would be very happy here. It certainly lives up to what I originally thought. The care team are excellent. The home is so comfortable and friendly. Gardens gorgeous.
Activities great. Food is amazing big portions though. Mum loves the soup and sandwiches in the evening.
Her room looks on the entrance and she loves seeing everyone come in and out. Perfect for her as at her bungalow she never saw people walk past.
Mum loves it and we are delighted that Mum is happy and content making the rest of her life enjoyable and comfortable. We can come and see her whenever we want. Perfect.

Mum has been at Lavenders since February this year, and we have been very pleased with the home - with the facilities, the care, and all of the staff that we have met. Communication is good, with the office and with the senior carers on shift, and we are kept well-informed when anything happens. The
staff have always been friendly, polite, and helpful, and are very patient with Mum. There are plenty of activities on offer, though Mum doesn't go to that many of them despite encouragement; she is also encouraged to sit out in the lounge which is bright and airy with a nice view of the grounds, and she seems to do that quite often.
I would recommend anyone with a friend or relative needing care to have a look at Lavenders.

Lavenders have proven now and in the past to offer excellent service to their resident in all aspects that benefit the quality of life be it accommodation, catering, entertainment, care, understanding, motivated staff-quality management all these vital components are on display.

We were looking for a care home for my mother-in-law when she told us she could no longer cope and was lonely. No one likes to have to put a loved one into a home, but I'm so pleased we discovered Lavenders, we could not have asked for or found a better care home. From the moment she went in she has
felt safe, happy and cared for. The staff have a great work ethic and are so kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble. Plus there are many activities in which to take part if you wish to. From the top to the bottom Lavenders is an excellent care home in all aspects with very high standards, I would not hesitate to recommend it.

This home has been the height of respecting dignity in caring for my father. All staff are dedicated, approachable, caring and interactive. The quality of care is good, the food is excellent, and the activity coordinator works hard to provide social interaction daily with special events throughout
the year. The environment is comfortable and welcoming, clean, and meets individual needs.
