At very short notice we had to place mom in respite care. Mum had never been to this care home before, the one she was used to was not available. This was an extremely anxious time for us. When I contacted the manager she was very eager to support me & offered a room for the dates required. Although
this was very thoughtful I was still very anxious because mum is from an Afro Caribbean background It was important that mums cultural needs would be met. I was so touched to observe the kindness and warmth shown to mum on her arrival. During a conversation with the manager I had told her how mums faith is very important to her. The manager had clearly remembered this & mums name tag included a picture of a preacher& gospel choir. This was a heartfelt personal touch to ensure mum felt comfortable & welcomed. This was the start of a fantastic respite placement for my mum that continued to the end including welcoming mums church congregation to the care home. This was very important to mum.

It looks very Cosy, but can be noisy on occasions, with residents and staff shouting in corridors.
I think they have a lot to deal with and could do with more staff on.
The staff appear lovely and try to help you as much as they can.
The conservatory is a very relaxing warm and Cosy place to go
for a family meeting. Or even just for a place to recharge.

We can never thank the manager and the staff at Beechy enough for the kindness and care they showed to my sister, and to us, her family, particularly towards the end of her life. She had suffered from increasingly severe dementia throughout her stay there but she was always made to feel special
and encouraged to join in the many activities and celebrations with such patience and care from the staff. The food was excellent and everyone was always well presented.
Thank you so much to you all.

I have a mum and a sister in Beechy Knoll! I had no real prior experience of a care home setting and so, I honestly didn't know what to expect. Since day one, I can only say it has been amazing. I have turned up unannounced many times and the staff have always been amazing. My mum and sister are
very happy living here and I have no complaints whatsoever about anything.

My friend has lived in Beechy Knoll for a year. She is looked after by dedicated, caring staff who are always friendly to her, despite her sometimes challenging behaviour. She is always clean and well-dressed. The food is home-cooked and excellent, she has a weekly manicure from the excellent events
coordinator. The management and nursing staff are friendly, approachable and always willing to help. My friend could not be in a better place.

I can't praise all the staff at Beechy Knoll highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble and they really care about their residents and even us relatives too!
My mum has been here for over two years and then my dad has been here just over a year.
I know they are so well cared for and looked after
and knowing they're together means such a lot.
Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the food is amazing.
There are activities for the residents which they love.
I would definitely recommend Beechy Knoll to anyone.

My aunt has received excellent care and support here, she loves it! The staff are absolutely amazing and simply never stop! Their attitude is so wonderful, always caring, always respectful and always doing their best for my aunt. Her room is lovely and always spotless, the food is delicious and
freshly prepared by an excellent cook/baker extraordinaire, very enjoyable. Inclusive activities organised by a great coordinator, conservatory, garden and a pub! So happy my aunt came here.

When my mum moved into Beechy Knoll in December 2021 I wasn't able to be there with her to make sure she was okay. I had planned to visit her throughout 2022 but due to issues with my own health, I wasn't able to. Throughout that time when I spoke to her it was great to hear how happy and well she
sounded. When I was finally able to see her with my children last week it was such a relief to see how well she was doing for them and me. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the care they have given her and also the kindness they showed us on our visit. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Praise again to all of the dedicated staff at Beechy Knoll for their continued care for my mother and for arranging the appropriate medical attention to deal with the difficulties with her injured arm.
My sister from Australia would also wish to comment favourably on the welcome she received from
all Beechy Knoll staff during her recent visits to the home.
The focus on activities to engage all of the residents is also praiseworthy and your efforts are appreciated.

Since December 2021, when my mother became a resident of Beechy Knoll Care Home, the care and support she has received have been superb. Can not fault it at all. Mum is happy and content and looks so well. It gives the family a great sense of relief knowing she is in good care.

Heartfelt thanks to all staff at Beechy Knoll for their impeccable care given to my nephew over the past year. Your compassion, kindness, love and patience has been unwaving, enabling my nephew to be himself again and have the confidence to achieve his goal to live independently. Despite moving into
his own home a month ago, the staff continue to support him through his volunteering activities working alongside the social activites co-ordinator. Having this kind of ongoing support from staff who know my nephew and have a trusting relationship with him, is crucial to safeguarding his well being during this transitional period, and goes to show, the depth of understanding the Manager and staff have about his needs. He now has a secure foundation from which to keep moving forward with his life and that's all down to the staff at Beechy Knoll. As his family, we will be forever grateful.

I had to move my Mother from a previous care home where she was very unhappy. All this happened during the height of the COVID crisis so these were challenging times and she does have Alzheimer's. My own access to Beechy was limited rightly due to Covid restrictions but I measured the Home mainly on
mother's contentedness and she was- content and happy. She was always clean, well presented and generally happy. She was on occasion grumpy but isn't everyone! The home is well run and rigorously follows the Covid infection controls and administers medications and treatments properly and professionally. Furthermore, there are in-house entertainment parties cakes and things generally going on. It is a vibrant community at Beechy Knoll. Mother's case of Alzheimer's did progress to the point where Beechy could no longer cope, so she is now in a facility for more challenging behaviour - but notwithstanding this [which was professionally dealt with], I would be happier for Mum to still be there.

I have always had a warm, friendly welcome when I come to visit. Staff are professional and efficient. The conservatory is comfortable and airy. My relative is happy today. A pleasant experience to meet today. One lady is always welcoming and encouraging.

I have been unable to enter the home other than the conservatory due to the coronavirus restrictions, so I am not able to comment on my friend's room or facilities. What I can say is that the staff I have contact with are all helpful, courteous and caring. My friend is very antisocial and refuses to
mix with other residents. The staff continue to try to get her to take part in the social activities.
25 July 2022
I visit our friend occasionally, but have only seen her in the conservatory (very well furnished and comfortable) due to the virus. She does not complain about anything and often compliments the staff for their care.

In my opinion, the residents are well cared for and respected. The home is clean and well cared for and the staff are friendly and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble and the management truly care for the well-being of the residents, staff, the quality of the home and how it is run.

My grandad came into Beechy Knoll from the hospital after not being able to manage at home. As a family, we were upset at the thought of a residential home, but since coming, he's a lot happier and looks really well in himself. We couldn't be happier.
