Some fantastic events and activities organised for residents over the festive period. Staff have been very attentive and inclusive with my mother-in-law. This has contributed to her settling in very well during a challenging transition period. Many thanks to all staff at Westwood House Care Home.

Positive .. The staff, always there when they are needed but also happy to come in for a chat and give my mum some company.
My mums room is lovely with French doors facing out the garden. With her en-suite just being refurbished and looking great.
Any problems were addressed immediately.
Always activities going on from art, boxing, singing, dancing, baking etc
The activity team always coming up with things to do, including days out for the residents.
Loads of events also for all to join in including us the family members.
As a family we a had a tough 6 months caring for my Mum but now we can sleep at night knowing my mum is being cared for and is safe now.
She is loving life, happy and content here.
A big thank you to everyone for the care and attention to my Mum and the family are forever grateful!
My only negative is the car park, lack of spaces, understandably out of your control but maybe a redesign .. moving the bins for more space? Resurface?

We visited Westwood House a few times unexpectedly to see if this would be suitable for our relative. During our visits the staff were very welcoming and friendly! We found this to be the most suitable home for my Gran and what can I say.. it has been fantastic!!! She has become a new woman!
The
Carers and Management Team have been amazing with her and I cannot fault them one bit. Each staff member is approachable and they are happy to deal with any queries that we may have. Nothing is ever an issue. The staff take time to get to know the residents and their families which I think is great.
Westwood house always has activities, fundays and evening events. This allows relatives to keep busy throughout the day and enjoy time with their families. The activity team are brilliant and always looking to plan more fun activities! My Gran loves it!
We as a family are very pleased with the care, compassion and support that is given to my Gran.

My mum has only been here for a few weeks but has been made to feel at home and been so well looked after. All staff are a pleasure to talk to and the activities that she has got to take part in have been fantastic. It's made the transition for our family a lot easier knowing she is getting the best
care.

I cant recommend Westwood house and their team enough. My grandad who recently passed away after living there for 18 months, was always provided the highest standard of care. I can't express how thankful I am to the team for treating him like their own, and most important, their patience. My grandad
faced many challenges since being diagnosed with dementia and the team were always so kind and compassionate towards him, and found the time to listen when he needed it.
There is always something for the residents to do, the activities coordinators do a fantastic job in keeping all resident motivated and happy!
I will be forever grateful to the team at Westwood for all their hard work, patience and care they delivered to my grandad especially in the end stages of his life. I was blown away with the professionalism and standard of care delivered during the most difficult time. Not only for my grandad but for us as a family. We will be forever grateful! 1000/10!

It was with sadness that the time had come for our friend to be placed in full time care due to a combination of circumstances & complex needs. Many homes were visited and researched before deciding Westwood House would best suit her needs. In the time she has been there, we have been very pleased
by the care and support. Team members in every role are kind, helpful & tuned into individuals' needs. Residents are treated with dignity & compassion. The days are punctuated by "treats", e.g. cheese, wine, live music, pamper sessions and purposeful activities and outings. We entered W.H - trusting but with heavy hearts - we no leave after our visits at peace & feeling more lighthearted.

My Mum received respite care at Westwood House Care Home in October 2024. My family could not recommend this Care Home highly enough. The staff are cheerful, respectful, helpful and attentive. The room allocated to my Mum was spacious and homely. The food was plentiful and delicious.The staff made
my family feel welcome and took my Mum's needs into account and provided support for her to go to day care. The manager and her team are wonderful! A special mention to one staff member in particular who plans fun activities and entertainment that everyone enjoys. Thanks!

The care provided to my relative is clear to see. Every member of staff knows their name, interacts with them and seems to have a relationship with them, and are happy to engage in conversation with each encounter. The activities are significantly improved and driven by the activity lead who is
enthusiastic, inclusive, and compassionate. There is a clear desire to have meaningful activities for the residents. The volunteering programme now established brings focus and purpose to the residents.
There has been a consistency of staff for some time now that brings stability and improved care. Well done to all.

Always delighted at how well looked after my mother-in-law is. Clean fresh and most importantly staff caring and helpful. Gives us peace of mind knowing my mother-in-law is well looked after. Food good quality, lots of activities and make us feel welcome when we visit.

I was at the summer craft fare, it was a great day. All staff, residents and families had a great day, the tombola, raffles, bbq, the sun was shining, great day all round. The staff were very helpful and made sure everyone was looked after. The home baking was lovely.

Mum has been a resident since October 2024. Since day one I have been pleased to see all the staff being friendly and caring towards Mum and the other residents. I was pleased to discover the home had its own social media page enabling family and friends to witness the many activities their loved
ones can join in. This also helps keep me informed of special dates when I am invited to join in the fun. Well done to the team organising events. Thanks to everyone who helps care for Mum and also greets us with a warm welcome when we visit.

My dad has now been resident here since November 2023. I must take the time to give one staff member in particular a mention. She is the best when it comes to entertaining the residents and ensuring they all have a fantastic time. We are always made to feel very welcome at all times. My dad is much
happier being there and at times he can be difficult but even though he struggles with his memory the staff are patient and understanding. There is always a great atmosphere and all residents are free to wonder whilst great care is being maintained.

My Uncle was admitted into Westwood Care Home in November 2023 until he passed away at the end of October 2024. He settled in fairly quickly. The staff are excellent and took great care of him whilst he was there. There are lots of activities for the residents, every time I visited my uncle there
was singing and laughter. Westwood is spotless and my uncle's room and en-suite were maintained to a high standard. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and attention they gave him. Staff informed myself of any appointments that my Uncle had to attend and escorted him to them (when I could not).

My mum has been in Westwood House for 16 months and while it took a few months to settle in she is now socialising with other residents. The staff there (every one of them) are so patient and kind with my mother and all the other residents. I have taken particular notice of this. My family would not
hesitate in recommending this care home to anyone.

A friendly warm welcome, clean, tidy and professional. Staff on hand to answer questions medical and non-medical, plenty of activities in particular music being a firm favourite.

My stepdad was admitted to Westwood House Care Home and having family members who work in care assured us that it was one of the best. True to their word he was lovingly cared for by all and of course the staff he took a real shine to went above and beyond their care of duty which reflected in his
passing that they also attended his service and reception afterwards in their own time/day off. Thank you from the two families.

Still unsettled at the home which is to be expected. The staff are trying their hardest with him to get showered but Dad declines. Dad is mostly in his pyjamas. He surprises us all when he gets dressed. Dad mostly eats in his room but he always says he isn't hungry but you have to leave the meal on
his table and will eat it. I always wash Dad with the basin and cloth and Dad shaves with his electric razor. If you mention a shower it's a no.

Since my father-in-law moved into the home his son and I can sleep at night and not worry about is his dad sleeping or where he has wandered outside of his flat. The staff are all very caring and management. Nothing is a problem to them even when he has a temperamental mood. All staff make you feel
very welcome.
