when mum first arrived she was very confused but soon settled in with care and support from the staff team, who listened to our concerns about how much mum's care had changed since August when she was fully independent.
Every member of staff when have ancountered is friendly, cheerful, respectful
and kind. We were worried about mum going into care but the care we have received as a family not just mum has been better than we could have hoped.
Mum can no longer vocalise but we can see by her body language she is relaxed and calm which is a great support.
I am kept aware of any changes in mums health and I feel very confident of the care given to mum is the best she could have as she reaches the end of her life journey.
Words cannot express how thankful we are to your fantastic team. I'm not good at this sort of thing but hope you understand how knowing mum is being looked after by such a great team helps us cope with the changes mum is going through.

Before dad arrived he was visited in his rehab centre to assess his needs and preferences. He was transported to Colton Lodge with the help of the manager in charge.
Since arriving on the 4th of December dad's care has been second to none. It's lovely to see him clean, cared for and stimulated in a
happy environment. The staff are always able to help with dad's needs. His room is clean and the home has a hotel feel all been on one floor.
The only negative would be the extras you have to pay for as in toiletries which we didn't
expect.

level of understanding of mums care needs from initial visits have been positive and continues.
lots of time taken to help mum and family adjust to new situations, much appreciated.
mum has settled in very well and stimulation by staff is obviously very important at colton lodges.

My mum recently died at the age of 92 years, during her final 18 months she lived in Garforth House, Colton Lodges where she was very happy. Caroline and all the staff were brilliant with mum, pandering to her care needs and mental wellbeing. I cannot thank them all enough for enhancing mum's life
and giving her quality time in addition the care and consideration given to us all on mum's death by all concerned was of the highest order. Thanks to all.

My mum moved into Colton Lodge in Jan 2024, it took her a long time to settle, but she has thanks to the most wonderful team of staff who care for her needs, both her and our dementia journey has been easier. The personal experience they create for every dementia patient is excellent and I couldn't
ask for more. She is settled, content and safe, which is simply amazing and all down to the dedicated and caring staff. I couldn't be more grateful.

The change in D since coming to Colton Lodges Care Home is amazing to see. She looks so well. Being a carer myself I can tell that D is being cared for properly. I used to work here at Colton Lodges 7 or so years ago, it loosk a lot fresher and seems to be running really well since I was here. I've
also noticed D has been joining in with activities. It's really nice to see the different activities here. Really happy for D.

My great aunt is a resident at this care home, and I honestly couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful care she receives. The staff are absolutely amazing, they go above and beyond every single day to make sure she's comfortable, happy, and treated with so much kindness and respect.
The level
of compassion and attention they show to residents with dementia is truly outstanding. The home is always warm, welcoming, and full of life, and it gives our whole family such peace of mind knowing she's in such capable and caring hands.
Everything about this place is exceptional, from the cleanliness and atmosphere to the activities and personal touches that make it feel like home. Thank you to all the staff for the incredible work you do. You are real angels!

I'd like to give special recognition to the amazing admin team at the care home. They truly go above and beyond in everything they do. From their warm communication to the extra touches, like printing photos for my great aunt and helping us stay connected. Their kindness and thoughtfulness mean so
much to our family.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for them, and their dedication really shines through in every interaction. Thank you for all your hard work behind the scenes, you make such a difference and are a big part of what makes this home so special.

My father was only in the home for six weeks before he passed, but the care he received and the kindness he was shown was wonderful. I'm so glad I chose the home as the place in which he spent those last weeks.

My mother moved to Colton Loges in August 2025 and I could not be more reassured by the care she receives each day in Elmet House. It is clear the team know my mother well, not just her care needs but her personality and preferences. She is happy, comfortable and content. She does lots of
activities/visits and has built a circle of friends with wonderful wellbeing teams. I am truly grateful for the dedication and compassion of everyone who works at Colton Lodges. We were encouraged to decorate her room with willing help from the lovely maintenance team. Nothing is ever too much trouble, full medical and social aspects catered for. Thank you all very much

Colton Lodges is a wonderful place my darling brother was here in 2018 for 2 years and was very happy, my darling Auntie Ruby is now here and is as content as can be. The staff are so fab so caring, everyhing so clean and welcoming. Well done everyone for looking after my family.

He requires 24/7 nursing care which he is now receiving in a satisfactory manner. As all his needs are now being met, he has 'plateaued'. He is comfortable, contented & well-rested.

Since my mum moved to Colton Lodges in January 2025 I have been very happy with her care, the staff are polite and caring. My mum is always clean and wearing clean clothes.

I would like to give a special mention to the nursing assistant. They are are great. I'm always kept updated on how my mother is doing and its lovely to be reassured after speaking to anyone in the home.

Overall I'm really happy with our experience at Colton Lodges. Since coming here my grandma has gone from strength to strength and fully recovered from when she first came. We've found that staff are caring and my grandma enjoys their company. We know she is well looked after.

My husband has settled well and is more motivated and engaged than he has been since his stroke 2 years ago. He enjoys the many activities and entertainment and joins in. It would be good to have umbrellas up outside for hot weather as there is no air conditioning.

Staff are lovely here. Food is good and I have a nice big room. Ive started going to the lounge now I'm well. 100% better, im encouraged to get involved. I really like it here. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone.

I highly recommend this care home. The members of staff and the unit manager are caring, warm, professional and were excellent at keeping us informed. My mum had specific care needs for end of life and we were comforted at how well she was looked after from her arrival. We visited everyday, it was
so good to witness the high quality care. Thank You never will be adequate for what you all did each day.

This is an amazing care home, such compassionate staff. Everyone cared for our uncle to the highest levels. My uncle was treated with dignity even down to getting him his daily paper, Pepsi max and jellies. Also activities like pie making were amazing.

I am really pleased with the care mum is receiving. All the staff have fantastic relationships with her which is great. With help from the activity team, we celebrated mum's 100th birthday with a party and singer for all her family and friends, which exceeded my expectations.
