David has not been with you long, but my first visit was very good. I'm pleased that David seemed happy, which was a great relief to me. It was nice to see happy staff and very welcoming people.

Our first visit to see my brother, went very well. We had a lovely welcome from the team. It all looked very clean and tidy.
We were taking to see my brother ,who was sat in the lounge with a few other people. My brother was happy to see us, and seemed to have settled in well. All the staff were
very kind and soon had us a cup of tea.
We were very happy with our first visit.

A new routine started this week, a dessert trolley taken around to the residents so they can now choose from the trolley after lunch.
A thoughtful, kind gesture and visually colourful. It is one of many small acts of respect and kindness that is shown to the residents.

A wonderful place for my mum, very homely with incredible staff.
The food is a high standard and mum looks well fed.
I hope that with the good weather coming the staff will be able to take mum out into the garden as much a possible for a change of scenery as sitting in the lounge day after day
can be tough to see.
All in all, very happy with our choice to put mum at Stainsbridge House. Wouldn't change it for all the tea in China!

My brother does not have dementia/Alzheimer's but other support needs that mean he cannot live independently. Since he moved in he has settled in really well and loves being looked after by all of the carers and support staff. Everyone is very supportive towards me and my family and go out of their
way to be helpful by being informative and only too pleased to help in any way. My brother misses his friends in Chippenham but, he is well adjusted to life in Stainsbridge House and takes part in all the various activities. My daughters and I are indebted to all the staff for looking after him so well and being so friendly to us. They are all incredibly nice people and I am delighted we were able to get my brother in such a caring and professional environment.

Mum has been a resident in Stainsbridge House for almost 4 years. She settled very quickly and has always been supported to choose as much about her day to day life as she is able. She is encouraged to join in group activities where she is able.
As particularly her mobility has failed, she has
been fully supported to continue to spend her time with other residents enjoying the general bustle and activities in the communal areas.
She particularly enjoys the delicious home cooked food particularly fish & chips on Fridays. Her general health has remained stable, largely due to the excellent care provided and timely intervention when it's been needed. Mandy the manager is excellent and very supportive to both residents and their families, maintaining very good communication with me. Stainsbridge House really manages to achieve the feeling of it being the residence home, somewhere they feels safe, secure and respected. All the staff are kind and caring and work hard to create this feeling

My husband has been at Stainsbridge for sometime he is very settled and seems very happy no longer asking to return home.He obviously feels very safe and when taken on outings constantly ask to go back to Stainsbridge. I am grateful for his care which gives me piece of mind through the most
difficult time of our marriage

My father had vascular dementia and was resident at Stainsbridge House from June 2023 to January 2025, when he died peacefully. The staff were fantastic with him and understood his needs. The manager Mandy was understanding of my families needs too. There is a male only floor, which in the latter
stages of my father's illness made me feel that he was safe. Staff kept me updated with any falls or issues he had had. The staff, all involved with my dad, kept me informed when the end was near. They all said goodbye to him on his last night, holding his hand and showing him so much respective. They are amazing people.

My mother in law has been a resident at Stainsbridge House for almost 7 years. The care she has received during this time has been exceptional. She has been treated with compassion and empathy throughout the decline in her health (due to Dementia). All staff and volunteers have always acted in a
caring and professional way. They have routinely gone above and beyond in all aspects of the support given - both physically and emotionally.
When my mother in law passed away, in her room at The Stainsbridge, the staff kept us up to date and informed of any changes. They were extra kind and thoughtful during the last few days. When the end came, all the staff on duty paid their respects - they took turns to hold her hand and say goodbye. We will always remember this and be very grateful for everything, everyone at The Stainsbridge did for both my mother in law and ourselves.

My Aunt was well cared for with dignity and patience. The staff were always trying to meet her needs and were so supportive of us as a family.
My sister's and I visited most days and were always made to feel very welcome and part of the Stainsbridge family. There was always a calm atmosphere in the
home. The manageress was always happy to discuss and resolve any needs that arose. Nothing was too much trouble.
The food was good and varied to meet my Aunts likes and dislikes and she was encouragaged to eat well.
After 2 years at Stainsbridge Auntie passed peacefully away. During her final few days we as a family were shown compassion and support.
I would be happy to recommend Stainsbridge House.

My sister was a resident of Stainsbridge House for eighteen months and I was constantly impressed by the level of care, compassion and good humour displayed by the staff. I was kept informed of any relevant matters relating to the care programme and activities for the residents were well organised
and imaginative.

The home is staffed by people who are friendly, cheerful, warm, aware, professional and dedicated. Focusing on dementia care means that situations and problems have been seen before and nothing fazes the staff. They seem to be not only aware of each resident's particular needs in detail but also the
way in which their problems may progress. Meals are always excellent, appetising and tailored to individual needs and snacks can be made available between meals as seen fit. There are many and varied activities for residents to partake of, and be involved in. The manageress is upbeat, welcoming, inclusive and dedicated and has created a real family feel to the care home, not just towards the residents and staff but towards visiting families and friends of residents. My wife has been treated with understanding, empathy and patience and I have no hesitation recommending Stainsbridge House.

My husband has Corticobasal degeneration and Alzheimer's and Parkinson's so is in very poor health. He cannot care for himself at all so needs to be fed and given drinks. The same for personal care. The staff are truly wonderful. They are very caring and look after my husband extremely well. I am
very grateful to them, so thank you. I thoroughly recommend Stainsbridge House.

08 April 2019
Our mum moved into Stainsbridge House almost a year ago. From day one we were all treated with great respect. The manager is truly fantastic and has become a friend who we can trust completely with the wellbeing of our mum. During this first year, our mum has thrived. She is treated with dignity and
has plenty of options to make her own decisions despite her Alzheimer's. Stainsbridge House is an old characterful building that is both homely and welcoming. We have never regretted our decision to place mum here.

My husband came in here in June 2018, originally for respite. Since then I decided that I am unable to care for him at home. I find the carers are excellent and always treat him with dignity. I have also found all the staff here very friendly, to me as well as my husband. There is an excellent cook
who provides good nourishing meals. I have no complaints at all.

My mother has been in Stainsbridge House for over three years now. She is kept clean, comfortable, well looked after and as happy as can be considering her dementia.
03 December 2018
My mother has been a resident at Stainsbridge House for over 2 years. At first, she was there with my father too.
Stainsbridge House provided very good support during that time when my father died and afterwards. During this year there seemed to be a change in the home and level of care which was a
concern. However, since the change of staff/manager, there has been a difference noticed when we have visited. Mum herself seems content and happy and overall her health is good. Atmosphere is calmer.
