View Full Details of Wrottesley Park HouseOutstanding care home for people with disabilities. Management and staff capable professionals. My son resident following major stroke with severe physical and cognitive problems receiving high quality support and care.
My brother has been in the home just over 4yrs. This is the first time in yrs that I feel relaxed and can shut off a bit. I see photos of my brother in activities on Facebook and honestly my daughter and myself have never seen him so happy. The staff are amazing and the activity staff are also amazing. I can now have some me time without constantly thinking if all is OK because I know it is. A BIG shout out to the manager who is the best I've ever seen THANK YOU
Since my brother has come to Wrottersley Park House, we have seen that he is very happy. He loves going downstairs when they have a singer on; he also goes out to Wolverhampton, which makes him very happy. If something was wrong, he would tell me, so far, everything has been okay.
Following the admittance of my best friend followed within days by her husband, we found that all the staff were kind, caring and showed welcoming sympathy to me in this very sad circumstance including a much needed hug.
My uncle has been in the home for 4 years. The last few months the service has improved greatly. The new manager is great and very hands on with the service users. Has shown great compassion to my mom who gets very anxious about my uncle. The support is great. The activities are really good and my uncle enjoys them so much.
I am pleased to write this review, just to let everyone at Wrottessley know their dedication, professionalism, good character, work-ethics and care for the people they look after is most appreciated especially under the leadership of the manager whom I will speak about next. The manager does not know I am saying this, but need to hear this. He is a true leader, dependable, trustworthy, sincere, helpful, always willing to listen and get back to you when he says he will. I don't have enough words to quantify him - excellent leader/ manager with first class. He is the General amongst generals. This home provides high quality care standards from all staff and even some of it's residents who have embraced the regime and doing their bits to be part of the goodness at Wrottessley. It's excellence outshines it's flaws, hence, the reason why it is the first choice and point of call when care services are required. Congratulations to all staff/ residents at Wrottessley Park Care Home, you all rock.
I brought my husband to Wrottesley Nursing Home on 16/4/25. He had been very depressed at his last home, and now I visit him today, and what a difference! He actually smiled at me for the 1st time in months. He spoke to me for the 1st time too. I am understandably pleased that in one day the staff have made such a difference.
This is a late review to thank the management team and all Wrottesley staff for the wonderful care and support they gave to my father in the last few months before he died. Dad was quite frail when he was eventually given approval by the local authority to have residential care, and he was so happy to know he could reside at Wrottesley Park House and that he would be safe, and spend his final months without the risk of falling or feeling isolated. The staff were kind, caring and responsive to all the issues raised by the family to make Dad's stay as homely and as comfortable as possible. He even had a few 'favourites' within the staff team, who attended to his needs and would often make time to have a chat and a laugh with him. The palliative care he received was excellent and he was comfortable, contented and peaceful in his final days.
I receive good quality care. Staff are friendly warm and supportive.the activities in the home are great with plenty of fun and laughter. I am happy to recommend wrottesley park house to all those who require care and support
Pleased with support my family member receives. As with all care homes, there are somethings that could be improved. Staff overall are friendly although some do need to be more approachable. My family member has settled well. Overall, I am generally happy with the home.
My nan spent two months at Wrottesley Park House when she was diagnosed with terminal illness and advised for palliative care. The care , compassion and the kindness shown by the whole staffing team was outstanding, right from the first day until the last day. She was always treated with respect, dignity and kindness. The management team was always approachable, and I found them actively involved in care, giving the team required guidance when required. I would happily recommend Wrottesley Park House to anyone needing care and attention.
My uncle stayed at Wrottesley Park House for a respite stay in December following a terrible fall at home. This is a great Home in and out, the staff are so friendly, caring and welcoming. The care and support my uncle received there was second to none. Great Home! Highly recommend.
The staff including care home management are very friendly, approachable and always prepared to listen and respond to any concerns that are raised by family members of service users. The home itself is clean, bright and welcoming. The rooms of service users are reasonably well kept - although rooms do look very tired and from a hygiene perspective the ' bedding'' should be changed each week and on observation this has not been the case - and as a result this has had to be requested and raised. Resident activity is good, they hold arts and crafts sessions including music and musicians/singers invited for special evening entertainment. Which I'm aware service users enjoy. A recommendation for improvement would be for the home to consider the offer of 121 care and support including 121 activity sessions for service users to help improve wellbeing.
My dad has been made to feel so welcome and absolutely loves Wrottesley Park Care home. The care from the staff at all levels is fantastic and my sister and I are so pleased with the level of care that he is receiving. The room and home is always clean and warm and everyone is so friendly. Dad always looks smart and is treated with dignity and respect. Thank you to everyone for caring for Dad so wonderfully.
Outstanding care, my father is now happy. Since being admitted the last two weeks we can see a great improvement and looking forward to him coming home. All staff have been very helpful and always happy to help with tasks. The manager has been very helpful and has great knowledge and understanding. I would recommend the care home.
My nan was taken into Wrottensley Park House in November and was in room 4. All the staff, management, kitchen and resident in the home was always happy to see you, helpful and always help and supported us a family to the day come and she passed away. Even when she passed, they gave her dignity. Very clean, food and drink was never a problem. Always come and said hello and was there anything we needed. So I want to thank all the team for their hard work, you're doing amazing.
My mum came into Wrottesley Park House Nursing Home after being in a hospice as palliative care. From the moment my husband and myself visited the home we were made to feel very welcome, it was spotless, and it felt like home. The room was nice, overlooking the garden. The care was amazing from the top right down to the cleaning when my mum was at end of life. The care was amazing, we will never forget how lovely and kind the staff were and so much dignity was given.
My father was able to obtain a place at Wrottesley Park House for four weeks respite care. Being 93 years old and having not only had a minor stroke in the previous month but also lost his wife after 65 years of marriage, he was fragile, weak, immobile, anorexic and depressed. After 2 weeks of professional care by the fantastic staff at Wrottesley, as well as the varied activities, menus and constant companionship, the family have already noticed a vast improvement in his health and wellbeing. He is no longer lonely and has something to look forward to daily.
Lovely home with great facilities and lovely grounds. The new manager is highly experienced and leads the team with enthusiasm. Compassion and high standards of care. Would definitely recommend Wrottesley Park.
