View Full Details of Abbey CourtMy uncle has been in the care home for over a year. Staff and management are very approachable. The home is amazing. It is like the one big family you can visit any time, food is good. Can't fault anything in this home.
Delighted with the care my uncle receives. Staff are so friendly and caring. Management are amazing. Nothing is ever too much. Activities in the home are very good and meaningful. My uncle loves having a job in the care home looking after the animals, this gives him a great purpose. Highly recommend.
My Grandad is a new resident at Abbey Court, he has settled in really well. Staff are very good and my Grandad has a great relationship with everyone. Activities and events are amazing, there is always something going on. I would highly recommend.
My mum was in this care home for 5 short months. I witnessed first hand as did my sisters a persistent failure to provide adequate care for my mum and other residents with dementia including not administering life saving medication timely, staff swearing and shouting as well as openly vaping. Putting rave music on in the lounge for their own enjoyment rather than the residents. The list is endless. We visited mum nearly every day as we had to provide the care they failed to give. My mum passed away in June unexpected. We contacted the Care Commission who were seriously concerned (emails to corroborate this) and they were moving forward fast to investigate. Abbey Court changed their registered name during this period and horrifyingly under Scot's Law, Abbey Court no longer exist as a business and cannot be investigated. The CC inspector was devastated and tried every legal route to overcome this. Our guilt and grief is devastating at the lack of accountability. Don't put loved ones here.
We had a home meeting last week and we were asked if we could write a review so this is my first chance. I love this home, my sister has been here for a while and she is always happy when I visit and sometime too busy doing activities to come and talk to me but usually I can join I. If I want to. There is no activity person but all the care staff do it instead which seems to work brilliantly as they all have their own groups and lounges so it's never too busy. I worked in care homes years ago and this is a million miles away from how they used to be. Well done Abbey Court.
Abbey Court is an amazing environment, with very friendly staff. I am kept very up to date with my mum's care, and visit the building regularly and haven't had a single bad experience. Overall fantastic place!
Dad loves it here. Amazing staff, and full of great activities to keep dad entertained. Have no complaints, they are all fantastic. Beautiful building and great quality rooms! Excellent place for loved ones.
My elderly neighbour currently resides in Abbeycourt and I have visited on several occasions. I found the staff to be very accommodating, helpful and cheerful always assisting the residents and visitors. I can't recommend Abbey court enough.
The staff are very kind and supportive they are helpful in their own special ways and know just how to treat my dad. Room is gorgeous loads of space to move around the place. Perfect for my dad. Would highly recommend!
Uncle has been in a few months and the place is brilliant. his moods improved, hes in the louge way more than a thought he would be and even dies the games and stuff that go on in the afternoon. i havnt tried the food but he enjoys it and i have a few cheeky bowls of soup. they built more rooms recently and it looks amazing. he gets on well with everyone and the staff are great.
My Grandad became a resident in December, the care received is first class, the activities carried out by the team have brought him back so much happiness, the rooms are of hotel quality and cleanliness, this makes the experience of visiting one of enjoyment where you feel part of a greater family.
Nanna is so content here. She has been here for 5 weeks now. She loves the food, the staff and has enjoyed meeting new friends. On a personal note, the home is very clean, the staff are very approachable and helpful. The communication from the home is 2nd to none. You are always kept Updated on the phone with their actives, and it's good to see how happy the residents all look. So happy we as a family chose Abbey Court for nanna.
All in all a fabulous place to live my sister loves being in Abbey Court we as a family are so delighted that our sister is in Abbey Court she has now been for the past 7 years. Staff are all very professional and go out there way to help the residents and there family's always have a smile on there faces all ways interacting with the residents in new games etc so thankyou Abbey Court for looking after our sister.
I found the establishment very well run. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are exceptionally clean. Residents are treated very well with the staff. Nothing is to much trouble for them always happy to help. I would highly recommend putting a family member into there care.
A extremely well maintained and very clean Care Home, great accommodation. Great friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent care and attention given to all residents. I would highly recommend this Care Home.
My mother is well looked after and cared for at Abbey Court and continually mentions this to me. She is so appreciative for the care she receives and the knowledge she is in a safe environment with people who look out for her.
Mum has settled in really well and been well looked after. Many of the team show genuine care for the residents Room is spotlessly clean every time I visit. Mum is always clean and well presented (albeit every item of white clothing is now pink or grey). Food is generally good but lunch portions looks especially small, the soup portion in a bowl only fills to halfway in a mug. Getting set up with local GP was stressful as delayed medication for infection and regular tests. Why doesn't Abbey Court have a registered nurse on the team? It is evident that refurbishment works are underway but couldn't old carpets be professionally cleaned? I find myself apologising to visitors.
Since Mum has been in the care of Abbey Court she is happy there and likes the staff who look after her. The only issue we have is the food but that might just be Mum being fussy. Also, I think the residents need more stimulation and the home would benefit more from employing an activity coordinator.
Mum is well looked after in Abbey Court. The staff are lovely and have a great relationship with the residents, you can see that when they interact with each other. The home is spotlessly clean and the rooms are lovely more like hotel rooms.
All staff were kind, considerate, polite and very caring to our mother, ourselves and any friends that visited. The home is extremely clean, and they make a massive effort to encourage the residents and visitors to join in with the varied activities, both indoors and outdoors, all aimed at stimulating and exercising for the residents. There is always a friendly smile and a cup of tea on the go if you would like one.
