Such an amazing home, so warm and caring and really like a home from home, always happy to help with anything. Amazing activities for all to get involved in and an easy place for anyone to settle into. Couldn't fault them. The staff are amazing!!

My dad moved into Mountbatten Lodge 10 mths before we sadly lost him in march. We as a family cudnt have asked for a better home and staff to trust with our dad. Some of the staff we became so close with which helped us a great deal some days..we will always be grateful for their amazing staff and
care they gave to him. You wouldn't want your loved one in a better home than this. They are treated with such love and dignity and visitors are too. Everything they do is with a smile on their face..the residents are so happy here and my wonderful dad was too

My dad has been transferred to Mountbatten Lodge on a short term stay. In coming to Mountbatten Lodge dad is trying to settle in. It is early days however I can say the home manager Beth has been very accommodating to my dad. The staff are good with him and I know it easy on him knowing he is back
in Hemel.

Mum didn't want to go into a care home; however, from the first phone call of enquiring to visiting for a look around, I was put at ease, treated with respect, concerns listened to, and reassured. All members of the staff greet you with a smile and make residents feel welcome. Likes/dislikes, home
comforts encouraged. Family members never made to feel a nuisance, always have time to listen. Rooms are always clean, as are all general areas, maintenance staff, and housekeeping, like new friends. Pleasantly surprised by how many events are available, and the staff are so enthusiastic. Excellent. Would definitely recommend. Well done to high-quality staff, approachable managers balance so right. Long may this last!

Mountbatten Lodge is an outstanding care home. My mother has been a resident there for over 18 months. It's well run with staff who really care. They see understand residents are doing and make sure everything possible is being done to make them as healthy and happy as possible. There are regular
activities and events meaning we regularly see photographs of my mum looking happy as she gets involved with activities organised by the staff and sometimes taken to activities off site including a visit to the seaside. The manager recently went on maternity leave but that didn't affect the levels of care being provided - testament to the strong caring culture she has created. Prior to choosing Mountbatten Lodge we visited 6 care homes in the area - Mountbatten Lodge stood head and shoulders above the rest.

We can't thank everyone enough for the care given to my father in law , it's really sad to say goodbye but the right time for him to move on, the way we have all been treated, respected , updated , has been brilliant, we wish all the staff all the best and continue doing what your doing as we
honestly can't see where you could improve , we know how challenging he could be at times and thank you for caring for him as long as was possible, we would recommend you as the most caring compassionate home and will miss you all dearly.

I have been nothing but impressed by this lovely care home. It is led from the top by a manager who takes great pride in all that she does. She cares and that comes through into the staff who are all terrific. I feel that my mum is happy there and well looked after. Day to day the care is excellent
but then there are also events within the home such as music nights which my mum greatly benefits from. On top, there are trips out which go over and beyond what you might expect. Thank you to you all.

Really happy we decided on this care home for my grandma, the staff are very welcoming and they are always finding great activities to do with the residents whether it be for fun or to stimulate their minds or activities to help with exercise to help joints and muscles.

My view so far on Mountbatten Lodge, where my mum is very good indeed!
Mainly down to the staff who are really very lovely very caring and I feel very comfortable when I leave my mum with the staff knowing she will be looked after!
I think the actual care home in places is a bit tired and can do
with modernising, but the main thing is the care and so far cannot fault it!

The amazing staff at Mountbatten Lodge have brought the spark and life back to my dad whom he had unfortunately lost at a previous home.
They are nothing short of incredible, and they go above and beyond their duty of care every single day.
There is no request too big or too small, and their
person-centred approach is unmatched.
I cannot express my gratitude enough to everyone who works there, for the commitment they show to all their residents.
Seeing my dad with a smile on his face again and the twinkle back in his eye means the absolute world, and we as a family are forever indebted to them.
Thank you once again for everything you do for your residents, it truly is an amazing home.

Mountbatten Lodge was a pleasurable experience. Familiar faces, events organized, a personal touch. The manager and their staff are quite special. Keeping in touch with us and pictures was a mind-relieving bonus. My mother always had a warm cup of tea whenever I visited. On D-Day when I popped in,
the fish and chips looked fresh and inviting. Sadly I couldn't get take out, but my Mum enjoyed her lunch. Mum was cared for, her health and hygiene supported and I didn't have to worry about her. Thank you, Mountbatten Lodge. My mother stayed here for 2 weeks. I'm guessing my 5th star may well have appeared if given more time here. It is certainly my favourite so far in the UK.

This team puts the 'care' in care home! Apart from the day-to-day high level of care, they arrange brilliant events and shows for those who want to participate. Every time we visit we are met with smiling happy faces from the staff and management who always make time to talk to us. It seems to me
that the team are not just doing a job but truly have a vocation - we are so grateful that we chose Mountbatten Lodge!

Choosing a care home for a loved one can be a minefield.
I moved my father here when his previous home was no longer meeting his needs.
It has proved to be the best decision that I could have made.
From the moment we pulled up outside the door, my father was made to feel welcome, included &
safe.
Within 2 weeks he stopped grinding his teeth (stress related), he is walking (with assistance, but I haven't seen him do this in a year) & his hands are no longer sore (he was sucking his fingers constantly, creating infections).
My father is engaged, happy & thriving.
All the staff are approachable, helpful & everything is done with good humour.
Care at Mountbatten Lodge is clearly not just a job, it is a way of life.

I was welcomed into Mountbatten Lodge on 1st November 2022. I had suffered 3 small strokes but thanks to all the loving staff, I am now able to walk with a stick. I can't praise them enough for the loving care they have shown, from the lovely manager and her assistant I have constantly been shown
love and courtesy. As a bonus, they have started tribute nights, last week the pop tribute act was amazing (starring the manager).

Mountbatten Lodge is an extremely friendly and welcoming place, the residents are treated with the utmost kindness, dignity and respect by all members of staff who are all very friendly. The management are extremely friendly and approachable and are always available and accessible. The activity
staff go above and beyond to engage the residents, and there is always something going on for both residents and relatives/carers. My husband is happy and content in such a caring and inclusive environment and I could not have wished for a kinder place for him to be.

Since my mother-in-law has been in this home we have seen her go from strength to strength all the carers do a fantastic job and get to know every single person in their care.
Words cannot express how grateful both my wife and myself are as we know she’s getting the right care she deserves. Thank
you all very much.

We were a little concerned when we found out that mum had to be admitted to a care home. Word locally was that Mountbatten Lodge was the best in the area, so we were very pleased when Mum was admitted there. We have found that the level of care given at the lodge by all staff to be first class,
given with a smile in very demanding circumstances, nothing is too much trouble. Thank you so much for the love and care shown.
