Mom has dementia and became a resident of Ryland view in December 2024, after suffering severe health issues. The outlook for her wasnt good, but the staff at Ryland have been amazing and she is now thriving! They talk and laugh with the residents, provide regular entertainment in the form of
singers, crafting, music....they are treated with kindness and respect. A friendly, caring, forever home for our loved ones. I will always be grateful to them for taking such good care of my mom.

As a permanent resident of 3yrs+, Moms care has been excellent. Despite the ups and downs, and the current refurbishment, mom is very happy at Ryland View. She is treated with dignity and respect by the carers. She has had a number of health problems and hospital visits recently, but the medical,
care & help she's received has been of a high standard. Management has shown care and compassion and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Activities/entertainment is great, with singers & events regularly. Keep up the good work Ryland View!

My Mother was a resident at Ryland view for nearly 5 years . Lots of ups and downs but she was happy. We were shocked when 2 weeks before Christmas we were told she was being evicted and we had 28 days to find a new home for her. The reason given was she was on a list. Later finding out they were
not having a nurse on her unit anymore and they evicted 8 residents at the same time .You can only imagine the upset and anxiety this has caused the family. worried that the move could cause so much confusion with detrimental effects on her health. Where is the caring here? Promised a place until the end of life to be evicted within two weeks to Christmas. How can a company get away with this treatment. Constantly told it's not us but head office.

Our aunt was admitted to Ryland View after a series of strokes in the hospital. We were told she had limited life expectancy, but such was the care and attention she received at Tyland View. She lived another 4 1/2 years. We can never thank the caring and professional staff enough for their care.
Thank you.

Dad has been a resident at Ryland View since 2014. During this time, the staff have cared for him as well and have got to know his needs and wants as he is unable to vocalise them himself. The activities are varied and often follow National Days, ensuring residents are engaged.

My aunt moved on the Friday and were told to get there on the Saturday to say goodbye. They reduced all her pain medications and hadn't contacted the GP for end of life medication. When I asked they didn't know what I was asking of them. Palliative team came after days because of the care home
hadn't told them my aunt was even in the home. Please do not let this happen to someone else.

I found most staff very clean, helpful, no trouble to help, one or two hopeless in the 2 and half years my wife was in Ryland View most of the time she was looked after excellent on the off times one or two staff's had to be spoken to not doing the jobs properly this was sorted by the nurse in
charge. The last two weeks of her life there, the staff were excellent and when she passed away they treated her with the highest dignity one can ask for so thank you all for your care.

Due to recent closures of units my relative does not seem to be getting the care and attention we had become used to. The staff in the office is always very helpful and understanding, should be looked after by management, a real asset to the company. The staff member who looks after the residents
wellbeing/entertainment is doing a fantastic job, always thinking of new ways to interact with the residents, which must be very hard to do on your own. We know there has been a lot of redundancies and closures of units. Hopefully management will realise their worth and look after these staff. Also improve on the care of the residents.

Aunt seems happy and content. Pleasant staff. Only let-down is laundry. Even with name and room number, clothes, socks etc go missing.

My father was a resident in this awful care home for just 12 days, during this time he suffered three incidents, he was left lying in his own faeces on two occasions for a ridiculous amount of time, so he tried to clean it up with his own hands which resulted in him wiping all over his bed, on the
second occasion he banged his hand which resulted in him having a nasty bruise, and the third incident he climbed out of his bed and banged his head on the floor, the so-called pathetic night staff were far too slow to respond and my father was rushed to hospital in an ambulance, we immediately terminated our involvement with this disgraceful care home, I strongly advise everyone not to let any of your loved ones into this care home as they will not be safe.
