Mum is safe and well cared for, treated with respect and dignity. The staff are all genuinely caring and helpful - often going above and beyond. All staff work very hard, especially when it is clear there are sometimes challenging circumstances. We feel well informed and kept up to date. The
building and rooms could do with a bit of an update, but they're not bad and it is the care, safety and happiness of mum that is more important. There are always different activities and opportunities to go out on trips/visit/shopping for mum to take part in/take advance of. It is the staff that make Fir Trees such a great place.

My dad is well cared for at Fir Trees care home. He is treated with compassion, dignity and respect. The manager is excellent and the care team are attentive and really care about the residents in the home. He is settled, happy and able to move freely around the different areas of the home. It is a
well run care home and I would recommend to others.

I went to see my relatives, and they were alright and for the care. The care is very good. Nothing is too much trouble for them to help. So I am happy that they get good care.

Since my mother went into Fir Trees in February this year (2025), she has been cared for with compassion, dignity, staff being attentive to her needs. The staff are very friendly and approachable, they make you feel at home, creating a friendly and happy atmosphere, which has helped my mother to
settle. Excellent activity coordinator who relates very well with all residents. Staff participation on days out and activities are very good. Overall, I am happy with my mother's care. I would love if there was an extra member of staff, so during those busy times, there was a floater around.

When it was decided my grandma would go into a care home I was devastated and wasn't sure if my family was making the right decision ! My views are so far from this now and it was the best thing to happen to her and our family! Fir Trees is nothing short of exceptional. it has completely changed My
grandmas life around, shes thriving & she's happier and that's all we wanted. All the staff are so welcoming and smiley and makes visits so enjoyable. we've recently attended with my children for VE day and to see my grandma and all the residents having such fun was totally heart warming ! thank you so much Fir Tree's hoping to be visiting you to see my Grandma for many years to come.

My friend has settled really well in Fir Tree's. She had improved massively since moving here. She is well cared for, happy and content. Staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble. Facilities are good - Thank you Fir Tree's

After visiting Fir Trees in recent months I felt compelled to write a review to say how it surpassed my expectations of a care home. Being familiar with a care home setting, having experienced my father being in residential care in the past few years, Fir Trees is a breath of fresh air in comparison
to the homes he stayed in. The staff and management go above and beyond to make sure residents are comfortable, happy and reassured. If only all care homes were this well run.

Whenever I visit my grandma, I am always made to feel welcome. The staff are lovely and friendly, and they are very helpful if you need anything. It is reassuring to know she is safe and being well cared for.

My husband has been in the home for over a year now. He is well fed and looked after. He is in a safe and secure environment. The staff are brilliant and very caring. The kitchen staff turn out amazing food. We are very happy to have chosen Fir Trees for is care requirement.

Lovely feeling in the home, made to feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum has settled well which I didn't think she would after living at home.
Food is nice, all home cooked and mum has gained some weight.

Cannot fault Fir Trees Care Home, the service provided to my grandad has been amazing, he is so happy there. The staff have been brilliant with not only my grandad but every resident, it’s so lovely to experience! They make sure everyone is involved when they have activities on, especially yesterday
the Elvis tribute he got everyone moving, was a really good afternoon for everyone. Lastly, the manager has been amazing throughout grandads transition from home to a care home, nothing has been too much trouble and she has made sure grandads wishes have been fulfilled.

I was gutted when gran had to go into care, we tried so hard as a family to keep her home but she was unsafe wandering at night. We looked around homes and decided on Fir Trees. We liked Fir Trees because the staff were friendly and we saw the elderly people laughing with staff and looking happy.
It’s not the poshest of places but Gran is so happy. We question now why we didn’t do it sooner because she is eating better, looks better and less anxious because she knows people are there to help her. Seniors are great when we ask how she is. They have dealt with everything for us including ordering all her medication and taking over things that we used to do. Really takes the pressure off and we can do nice things with Gran now. Gran is also happy to go back after being out which says a lot to us. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Having visited a friend who has been staying at Fir Trees for some respite, and being unfamiliar with care homes. I have been impressed by the care and support my friend has received during his stay. Also, the welcoming staff are always available for a chat and reassurance both for my friend and
myself on my visits. Well done Fir Trees.

I visited on a garden party day and it was lovely. All the workers were amazing and kind. The house and residents were very happy and organized. I felt very welcome and my mother enjoyed herself a lot.

My mum has been a resident for six years the management always listens to any concerns we have and action them. The carers are kind and respectful to the residents and families. The domestic staff and cleaners always make sure mum has lovely clean clothes to wear, clean bedding and keep the room
tidy. The receptionist always has a welcoming smile for you. Thank you all.

I am pleased to say that each and every time I visit Fir Trees, the staff are very pleasant and are constantly engaging with all the residents. They offer an abundance of reassurance by speaking to them with respect and holding their hands should they need a little TLC. The staff are always keen to
give me an update on my dad when I phone. Well done to the manager and all the staff at Fir Trees for making my dad feel comfortable, safe and a valued resident.

I moved my dad to Fir Trees to be near family as he has lived in Wales for the past thirty years. His wife (my step mum) had also recently passed away. My dad has settled really well and everybody has been so kind and made him and us, as a family, very welcome. All the staff look after him and
nothing is too much trouble. He especially likes the cakes and puddings.

I was wary of putting my gran in a care home after hearing so many horror stories but knew Fir Trees would be different from our first visit. The home is extremely clean, the staff are warm and welcoming and can't do enough to help gran. She is happy and well looked after and it's so lovely to see
her happy face when I visit.

Both my mum and dad were residents at Fir Trees. Unfortunately, my dad passed away in August and all the staff were brilliant through that difficult time. I cannot praise all the carers enough. They took my mum to dad's funeral and cared for her throughout. Thank you all at Fir Trees.
