So pleased we chose Layden Court for my husband, who suffers from advanced dementia & required an EMI bed. It was so difficult finding somewhere suitably equipped for his needs. From the moment we walked into Layden Court we knew we'd found the right place.

kind and treats her clients with so much love and affection which comes naturally to her. She is such a lovely lady, bubbly, calm, professional, caring and loving. She provides regular updates regarding your love one and address any concerns as soon as possible, nothing is to much trouble. The caring staff do a fabulous job making there clients feel at home caring for their individual needs The atmosphere of the home is so loving and warm, one big happy family.
Events are held on a regular basis, coffee mornings, sing along and lots of arts and crafts.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Layden Court for your loved ones.
A big thank you to all staff.

My grandma stayed at Layden Court after an admission to hospital from a previous care home. Unfortunately she wasn't able to return to the previous home due to outstanding issues, but since arriving at Layden Court as an emergency admission she received a large warm welcome from care staff and
management. Although my grandma's health declined rapidly the care staff worked extremely hard to ensure she remained comfortable. Management always present in the care home even on weekends which was lovely to see. Can't thank Layden Court enough.

Pat was looked after well, despite having dementia, she was just like a stroppy teenager latterly. And could be difficult to deal with sometimes. She certainly let the caregivers no if she wasn't happy with anything.so yes me and the family was happy with the care she got and the communication from
them

My adorable Dad has been at Layden since January 2021. Initially, he went in together with my Mum for what we thought was going to be respite care. Sadly, Mum passed away in May 2021. The care shown by Dr Kersh and the staff was then, and has remained, compassionate, considered and real. They have
cared for my Dad through his confusing loss of Mum and his decline over the last 5 years. There have been challenges along the way with varying standards of management over the years but now, thankfully, we have hit the jackpot with Chantay! To see the staff genuinely care for my Dad has made an awful time tolerable. Yes, the food's great and plentiful and there's always plenty going on by the way of events but for me the staff make this place. They have treated my Dad like one of their own and have shown true care and love for him. In addition, their care has also extended to me by showing concern and consistent support throughout.

mornings, sing alongs and special occasions for both residents and their family/friends. The atmosphere is cosy and homely and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to everyone working there, you are a credit to the home.

My dad was a resident at this care home, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care he received. He was bed-bound, yet the staff went above and beyond to ensure he was not only well looked after, but truly cared for.
The food was always good, and attention was paid to his individual needs. One
staff member particular took it upon herself to give my dad special care, showing genuine kindness and compassion. She and the team engaged with him regularly, taking the time to talk with him about all his favourite things and helping him feel valued and understood.
What really stood out was the personal touch - they put up posters of dogs and horses around his room to make it feel more special and comforting for him. Small gestures like this meant so much to him and to us as a family. We will always be grateful for the dignity, warmth, and compassion shown to him in his final months.

My father in law went into Layden Court for respite in January 2025 but whilst there his needs were assessed and he became a permanent resident until his death in June. He was a difficult man but at every step of the way the staff listened to him and made him feel heard. When he arrived the room had
recently been decorated and he didn't like the feature wallpaper which was an issue for him as he was bed bound. The Management arranged for posters of dogs and horses (his loves) to be put up so he couldn't see the wallpaper. A little touch but something which we appreciated as it calmed him. He was on anti agitation meds but he still got very agitated in the early evening and during the night and the management arranged sitters for him when he got like this. It was a horrendous situation as he was only given a week to live in June 2024 and was laid waiting to die which caused all his anxiety. His care by the Management of the home was second to none.

regrets at all. Our family knows our mum is happy, safe and cared for in a professional and loving way. This is not just a job to any member off staff at Laydon court they are all polite, caring, Respectful and professional to both residents and visitors.

From the time my husband went into Layden Court, he was made to feel like he was home and not in care home. They soon learnt his likes and dislikes. Treated him like an adult, not a child, and he could make up his own mind.
He laughed, smiled and became family with those their through their
genourosity and help with the daily things my husband could no longer do independently, such as they made sure he was washed, shaved, properly groomed and has his hair cut. His food looked delicious, in fact this made us want to eat there. Puddings were always his favourite. Access was always welcome.
They also helped me with any concerns, like when I felt like he needed to see a doctor. In his final days we were informed of any medical care that was prescribed. When he passed, the phones were not working so one of the many kind nurses who cared for my husband used her own phone to ensure that I was informed as soon as possible. Can't thank them enough.
