The staff at Finch Manor are helpful, supportive, understanding and have been a lifeline to not only my father in law but us as a family
They have helped us understand dementia better on days where it can be tough
It's nice to be able to breath a sigh of relief as the care is amazing and the
staff are very patient and caring and finally we don't
need to worry about safety
Best thing we ever did was support him coming here
Thank you so much

My Mum has been at Lilly ward since mid-March this year, having been transferred there from hospital. I'll admit that I had some initial doubts after reading a few reviews, but I can honestly say I am so pleased that she is there. The staff are absolutely lovely and genuinely engaging with the
residents. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and residents are encouraged to personalise their space with their own belongings. I am always kept fully up to date with Mum's medical care, which gives me great peace of mind. Mum has a curved spine, and Lindsey, the Senior Manager, went above and beyond by getting her a recliner chair so Mum could sit comfortably-something I truly appreciate. Although I initially wanted to move Mum closer to me as I live in North Wales, I now feel that the distance is worth it. Knowing she is safe, comfortable, and so well cared for makes all the difference. I am grateful to the team at Finch Manor for the kindness and care they have shown.

My mother has been a resident for about 4 years and I cannot think more highly of the staff and team members of Finch Manor. They really get to know and understand personally all their residents and ensure they are looked after. They have always been very good at keeping me informed about my mum as
I live down in Dorset so I have always felt reassured that mum is safe and cared for at all times. Regular assessments have always been updated to match mum's changing health issues. Sadly my Mum passed away on 14th March but she was not alone and cared for till the end and that leaves me great comfort. Even now the staff are being so kind to me whilst I am organising everything...they are asking am I OK and here if you need anything and that's so generous and kind. It's very challenging at times to look after other people's loved ones but I will be forever grateful that my mum was there at Finch Manor...bless you all and thank you.

Dad was admitted to Bluebell ward in August for assessment and we visit 4 to 5 times per week and always find the place spotless , The staff are extremely friendly and cannot do enough for you, The in house laundry and kitchen are excellent , On the occasions of trips out they are well looked after
by staff who make sure they fully enjoy themselves I would not hesitate to recommend Finch Manor as it exceeds all our expectations of caring staff who you can be assured are doing all they can for your loved ones , leaving you with peace of mind when you cannot be there,

Since my Dad has been here the management, staff, and nurses have been excellent in caring for my Dad. My Dad can be aggressive due to his illness although the staff are brilliant looking after him and do keep me updated as frequently as they can. The food is of a good quality and his room is kept
in a tidy order and sanitary state. His personal care is of a high standard and his clothes are clean and fresh from the in-house laundry on a daily basis. It's reassuring to know my Dad is being cared for in a true professional manner, and overall I am very pleased and grateful for the standard of care my Dad is receiving.

My mum recently became a long term resident in Finch Manner. From day one i have found all the staff helpful and attentive for the care of my mum, and helpful in relaying of information concerning care.

Her room is a tad sad looking, bathroom in prearticular, But this is a small grip,
First time i have ever had direct Delings with a care home. the management have been fantastic there support has been a huge help during mum transition.

My sister has lived in Finch Manor for over 10 years. We didn't think she'd get this far but with their care and support she is living a happy clean life although the staff change regularly they are a constantly always on hand. I find the care home clean the staff respectful, overall my sister is
very happy. We've had numerous new managers over the last few months however this is not has an impact on my sister at all the new manager that is now in place seems amenable easy to talk to and if you've got a problem I'm sure it will be dealt with immediately. I have read various news items regarding Finch Manor I and my sister who is now. The longest residence do not find these allegations to be true.
My sister is clean and cared for the home itself is also clean and the cleaning staff are also very friendly. There is never an issue to have things sorted if you have a problem overall, I find Finch Manor to be a good nursing home and I don't find any issues at all.

When my mum arrived at this home in 2021, I was a little taken back to how sterile the rooms felt but we did make it comfortable and homely for her.
She had a decent end of life in the home and the staff where very caring and attentive.
It has a very good standard of care and the facilities are
decent.
Food and hygiene is immaculate and you can have a look and see to what the kitchens which is impressive.
Note, as all rooms are all on one floor, the staff don't have to split up to cover multiple floors which again adds to there being lots of staff and carers around. Would recommend this particular home for Dementia care.

My mum is a resident here. I am very shocked at how much my mum has deteriorated in this place. There are no activities here. Staff who have worked here for over 20 yrs have left. There is a big communication barrier between staff, service users and family. It relies on agency staff who don't know
what they're supposed to be doing. Every time I've got in to visit my mum she is in bed. There is nothing going on for residents. There used to be activities in this place. Since last year it was stopped. Residents are dying of boredom in here, it is shocking. Read the CQC reports before you put your family members here. I am looking to have my mum removed from here. My mum has had a lot of falls in place in the last year and nothing has been done about it until I complained. I was only informed about 3 falls but my mum has had a lot more. The family are never updated. The rooms are very shabby, with broken door handle, and cracked toilet window.

My Dad was in respite for a short time with a view to long term, unfortunately, my Dad has passed. Although his stay was short the Staff were amazing, very professional, caring and supportive to my mum and I too. Everything my dad needed he had or they organised. I would just like to say a big thank
you from the heart to all the Staff at Finch Manor.

We chose Finch Manor for our Mum's end of life care. The care she received was exemplary. All of the staff were professional, caring and empathetic not only to Mum but to myself and my sisters too, at a very difficult and emotional time. They treated Mum with respect, compassion and kindness and we
would not hesitate in recommending them.

My father in law entered this house as part of his end of life care. From the outset, the staff and management were fantastic in every detail. He was treated with dignity and respect and the staff who assisted the family at the end were wonderful in every aspect. Big thanks to the admin at this time
who guided us so well at the end. I would recommend this home.

My father was admitted to Finch Manor as end of life and ultimately passed away on the 21st of November. The care my father received was outstanding. The staff were kind, considerate, knowledgable and very approachable. The home was spotless his laundry was washed and returned. The meals were to a
very high standard and the consistency always met Dads needs we were updated by staff in relation to his condition and any changes. The infection control policy in relation to Covid was strictly adhered to. I would not hesitate to recommend Finch Manor to anyone. Thank you and well done.

My mum is looked after really well. The staff and management are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone is always kind to my mum who has Alzheimer's.
19 February 2020
Not enough staff to the ratio of residents. Needs vast improvement in training, none of the nursing staff are trained on taking bloods and only half of the carers are trained on catheter care. Management need to give regular feedback on health and well-being to families.
