Finch Manor

From 6July 2026 when my husband moved to Finch Manor,l felt as if the worries of the world had been lifted off my shoulders, everyone was so friendly and helpful and l didn't feel the guilt of leaving him there. He is looked after,kept clean and treated as an individual,the food is lovely and plentiful with continuous coffee and biscuits and staff who are so kind and gentle l couldn't ask for more, Finch Manor saved my sanity, because l couldn't not have coped if l hadn't found them, it was the happiest l had felt in many years. I feel like l am visiting extended family they are all wonderful!

My Husband was sent here from hospital for assessment as he has many health conditions,dementia and parkinson's he is on palliative care and nursing . The management are so caring and understanding ,they listen to the family and do all they can for my loved one. The carers are fabulous and I can tell that my husband is comfortable as he anxiety has seemed to have disappeared . I cannot praise the staff enough. Just know if your loved one is sent here they are really looked after and cared for . Couldn't feel more calmer now as I know he's definitely in a safe and loving environment.

My husband went to Bluebell Unit at Finch Manor in February after an extended stay in hospital awaiting a place. As the home is quite a distance from my home I was a little concerned. However after my experience with them over the past six months all doubts have been erased. The staff are exceptionally caring and treat the residents with the upmost dignity and patience. The place is kept spotlessly clean with difficult challenges to negotiate. My husband can be difficult and aggressive but the staff on his unit came to understand his needs and how to deal with them very quickly. And he has settled considerably because of this. A small medical problem was dealt with swiftly and professionally and avoided any complications. My husband is also difficult to feed and can often refuse but the staff patiently coax and make many attempts to encourage him to eat resulting in him now gaining weight where he was once losing. I am more than happy that he is safe and well cared for.

Our dad came to Finch Manor from a hospital stay , we were concerned about the distance from our homes and previous reviews . We needn't have worried at all Finch Manor and its staff have become our extended family we have been welcomed with open arms and there is nothing they wouldn't do for dad or us , from reception to senior staff , cleaners, laundry staff , chefs and everyone else I've missed they truly go above and beyond for both residents and they're families . All of our worries have gone and we leave dad after visits knowing he will be cared for to the highest of standards ,, in fact dad looks at them as his family and is very happy there . Food is absolutely fabulous even on a special diet he is catered for with the most delicious meals and freshly made puddings all made on site ,, he has put on much needed weight since being here . Any health concerns or medical issues are dealt with straight away with nurses arriving the next day to see him .

We feel completely confident and at peace knowing mum is cared for by such a brilliant team. Thank you all - you really do make such a difference.

Very caring with resident always quick with helping residents goes above and beyond for resident very clean place always cleaners cleaning round and are very talkative senior mangers are an amazing support to staff family and residents and help families while settling their loved ones into the care home.

My Mum has been at Lilly ward since mid-March this year, having been transferred there from hospital. I'll admit that I had some initial doubts after reading a few reviews, but I can honestly say I am so pleased that she is there. The staff are absolutely lovely and genuinely engaging with the residents. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and residents are encouraged to personalise their space with their own belongings. I am always kept fully up to date with Mum's medical care, which gives me great peace of mind. Mum has a curved spine, and Lindsey, the Senior Manager, went above and beyond by getting her a recliner chair so Mum could sit comfortably-something I truly appreciate. Although I initially wanted to move Mum closer to me as I live in North Wales, I now feel that the distance is worth it. Knowing she is safe, comfortable, and so well cared for makes all the difference. I am grateful to the team at Finch Manor for the kindness and care they have shown.

My mother has been a resident for about 4 years and I cannot think more highly of the staff and team members of Finch Manor. They really get to know and understand personally all their residents and ensure they are looked after. They have always been very good at keeping me informed about my mum as I live down in Dorset so I have always felt reassured that mum is safe and cared for at all times. Regular assessments have always been updated to match mum's changing health issues. Sadly my Mum passed away on 14th March but she was not alone and cared for till the end and that leaves me great comfort. Even now the staff are being so kind to me whilst I am organising everything...they are asking am I OK and here if you need anything and that's so generous and kind. It's very challenging at times to look after other people's loved ones but I will be forever grateful that my mum was there at Finch Manor...bless you all and thank you.

Dad was admitted to Bluebell ward in August for assessment and we visit 4 to 5 times per week and always find the place spotless , The staff are extremely friendly and cannot do enough for you, The in house laundry and kitchen are excellent , On the occasions of trips out they are well looked after by staff who make sure they fully enjoy themselves I would not hesitate to recommend Finch Manor as it exceeds all our expectations of caring staff who you can be assured are doing all they can for your loved ones , leaving you with peace of mind when you cannot be there,

Since my Dad has been here the management, staff, and nurses have been excellent in caring for my Dad. My Dad can be aggressive due to his illness although the staff are brilliant looking after him and do keep me updated as frequently as they can. The food is of a good quality and his room is kept in a tidy order and sanitary state. His personal care is of a high standard and his clothes are clean and fresh from the in-house laundry on a daily basis. It's reassuring to know my Dad is being cared for in a true professional manner, and overall I am very pleased and grateful for the standard of care my Dad is receiving.

First time i have ever had direct Delings with a care home. the management have been fantastic there support has been a huge help during mum transition.

Could not be happier with the care and kindness of all the staff who cannot do enough for my dad and us. The Manager is our hero.

My sister has lived in Finch Manor for over 10 years. We didn't think she'd get this far but with their care and support she is living a happy clean life although the staff change regularly they are a constantly always on hand. I find the care home clean the staff respectful, overall my sister is very happy. We've had numerous new managers over the last few months however this is not has an impact on my sister at all the new manager that is now in place seems amenable easy to talk to and if you've got a problem I'm sure it will be dealt with immediately. I have read various news items regarding Finch Manor I and my sister who is now. The longest residence do not find these allegations to be true.

My sister is clean and cared for the home itself is also clean and the cleaning staff are also very friendly. There is never an issue to have things sorted if you have a problem overall, I find Finch Manor to be a good nursing home and I don't find any issues at all.

Staff very friendly,when my mum needs things doing they are there for her,she has settled in here very well,an gets on with staff. Overall I am happy that this is a safe and friendly environment for my mum.

Note, as all rooms are all on one floor, the staff don't have to split up to cover multiple floors which again adds to there being lots of staff and carers around. Would recommend this particular home for Dementia care.

My mum is a resident here. I am very shocked at how much my mum has deteriorated in this place. There are no activities here. Staff who have worked here for over 20 yrs have left. There is a big communication barrier between staff, service users and family. It relies on agency staff who don't know what they're supposed to be doing. Every time I've got in to visit my mum she is in bed. There is nothing going on for residents. There used to be activities in this place. Since last year it was stopped. Residents are dying of boredom in here, it is shocking. Read the CQC reports before you put your family members here. I am looking to have my mum removed from here. My mum has had a lot of falls in place in the last year and nothing has been done about it until I complained. I was only informed about 3 falls but my mum has had a lot more. The family are never updated. The rooms are very shabby, with broken door handle, and cracked toilet window.
