Dad was admitted to Bluebell ward in August for assessment and we visit 4 to 5 times per week and always find the place spotless , The staff are extremely friendly and cannot do enough for you, The in house laundry and kitchen are excellent , On the occasions of trips out they are well looked after
by staff who make sure they fully enjoy themselves I would not hesitate to recommend Finch Manor as it exceeds all our expectations of caring staff who you can be assured are doing all they can for your loved ones , leaving you with peace of mind when you cannot be there,

Since my Dad has been here the management, staff, and nurses have been excellent in caring for my Dad. My Dad can be aggressive due to his illness although the staff are brilliant looking after him and do keep me updated as frequently as they can. The food is of a good quality and his room is kept in
a tidy order and sanitary state. His personal care is of a high standard and his clothes are clean and fresh from the in-house laundry on a daily basis. It's reassuring to know my Dad is being cared for in a true professional manner, and overall I am very pleased and grateful for the standard of care my Dad is receiving.

My experience with this care home
Evening and weekend staff not supervised enough, care for my mum is awful at these times, unfortunately the day staff are let down by evening and weekend staff who come and go at the nod of a head, residents can't rely on them for personal care .
Would be helpful if
they could understand English as well.
Furious with my mum's care
Really don't know what we're paying for apart from shelter and meals
Very annoyed family members

I am deeply disappointed with the standard of care at Ellerslie Court. Basic needs are frequently neglected. Residents often wait excessively long for assistance after ringing the bell, sometimes resulting in accidents. It's heartbreaking to see individuals left wet and uncomfortable after showering
due to lack of timely support.
Communication is poor-residents are not listened to, and their concerns are routinely dismissed. The food quality is substandard and lacks variety or nutritional value. The lift is constantly out of order, leaving residents confined to their rooms for extended periods, which is both isolating and unacceptable.
This environment does not reflect the dignity and respect that vulnerable individuals deserve. I sincerely hope improvements are made urgently.

My dad was in a bad way when I put him into the care home. He has lots of problems along with his dementia. The care he has received is amazing; he looks like a different man. He is clean, loves his food, takes part in lots of activities, and most importantly, he is very happy. The staff are amazing
with him, and I am so happy I chose this care home for him. Very hard-working friendly staff who have time for you as well.

My parents were in Raleigh Court during tbe last few months of their lives. They were treated with respect and dignity. The staff were caring and friendly and fostered a family atmosphere with parties and fun activities for residents. Following a severe stroke my Mum needed round-the-clock nursing care
which was provided by the amazing team. I live 200 miles away and the nurses helped by doing regular phone and video calls so I could keep in touch with mum and dad. I am very grateful to the manager and her team for all they did for my parents and for me during a very difficult time.
Reply from Becky Evans, Home Manager at Raleigh Court - Care HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It was a true privilege to care for your parents during their final months, and were deeply touched to know that you felt supported throughout such a difficult time. Were proud that your mum and dad were treated with the dignity, respect, and warmth they deserved, and that the team helped create a family atmosphere filled with compassion and connection. Its especially meaningful to hear that the video and phone calls helped bridge the distance and allowed you to stay close, even from 200 miles away.Your gratitude means the world to the whole team, and we will be sure to share your message with everyone here at Raleigh Court.

I visit my sister regularly and am kept informed by the staff by phone if necessary. She is hard of hearing and confused but well looked after and with a good appetite. During the 3 years of her stay many improvements have been made to the home, especially with regard to entertainment, activities and
decorating. I am confident that she is safe and warm.

Mum, spaces and kitchen always clean and fresh looking,
All staff have made me feel welcome.
Her
room is a tad sad looking, bathroom in prearticular, But this is a small grip,
First time i have ever had direct Delings with a care home. the management have been fantastic there support has been a huge help during mum transition.

My sister has lived in Finch Manor for over 10 years. We didn't think she'd get this far but with their care and support she is living a happy clean life although the staff change regularly they are a constantly always on hand. I find the care home clean the staff respectful, overall my sister is very
happy. We've had numerous new managers over the last few months however this is not has an impact on my sister at all the new manager that is now in place seems amenable easy to talk to and if you've got a problem I'm sure it will be dealt with immediately. I have read various news items regarding Finch Manor I and my sister who is now. The longest residence do not find these allegations to be true.

My sister is clean and cared for the home itself is also clean and the cleaning staff are also very friendly. There is never an issue to have things sorted if you have a problem overall, I find Finch Manor to be a good nursing home and I don't find any issues at all.

Reply from Jay Patel, Owner at Finch ManorThank you so much for your review. The team and I here at Finch appreciate the time it has taken to complete this. We, as a team, continue to work close with families and friends as well as service users to promote the best care possible.

My wife and myself reviewed all of the nursing homes within our area. After talking to the staff, management and support staff, I am confident that my sister is receiving the best care and treatment anywhere in the county. There may be better looking facilities, more modern etc. but the care is the
most important for my sister and myself and at Brandon Lodge the care is first class.
During our research, we saw some apauling care homes, they should visit Brandon Lodge to learn how care and dignity should be carried out and maintained.

My wife was resident for 4 weeks for rehabilitation after hip fracture. My wife has mixed dementia. She was met by friendly staff and settled in. The staff were excellent everyone of them was patient, polite and caring through out her stay. She was fed properly and the food was very good, she put on
weight during her stay. The home is single storey, quite old but very clean and tidy. No glitz or glamour but the staff care for the residents.

My auntie was well cared for here, staff were always kind and caring and in my opinion, went beyond expectations, even painting my aunt's nails which she absolutely loved.
She also loved her meals. There always seem to be plenty of hot drinks available. There was even a member of staff engaging residents
in activities.
I was kept well informed of my aunt's care and the staff were also considerate to myself at a hard time.
I've never written a review before so you can tell I am pleased with the care that my aunt got.
