In my tree years at Avebury House I have been very grateful and satisfied with the care and support of all the carers and nurses, I am totally dead for do not partake in the many activities provided, but enjoy the games of dominoes and cards with other residents, I cannot comment on food or drink as
I am unable to swallow I am fed direct by tube to stomach with liquid energy food, so my final words of my residency at Avebury House is this is my home and I'm very happy here. Thank you.

Dad has been a resident since Feb 2023, has been deaf since 16 and is now 95yrs young. He's independent with his own personal care and can mobilise a short distance with his frame. He has always received the best of care and attention from all staff - Activities include him in Cribb and Domino
games, nursing staff give him his daily dose of nutrition via his PEG, care staff assist him with his Friday morning trip to the shower with a change of clothes, and housekeeping ensure his room is clean and any laundry returned on time. He is a well liked resident who enjoys the interaction and banter with staff and fellow residents. He is treated with a high level of care, dignity, and respect and has built a loving and friendly relationship with all staff. The home is well led and has an excellent administrator who looks after resident finance funds and appointments with the hairdresser and chiropodist etc. It's a lovely home and Dad is very happy there. Many thanks to everyone xx

She started in respite care, then switched to permanent and got a better room. Confused and reluctant to stay for the first few weeks, but the staff are all friendly and helpful. Food is good, and she has plenty of visitors and trips out, so she is becoming happier about being in the home. She is
encouraged to hang up pictures and collect possessions to make it feel like home. She enjoys sitting in the garden. James and Jasmine, the managers, have been very helpful in explaining options and helping her settle in. The only problem is that the phone messages are not passed on when they should be.

The staff are very caring and friendly. My aunt took a little while to settle in, as you'd expect, but has always remarked about how well they treat her.
She's safe, well cared for and respected and I can't fault how she's been treated.
My only minor gripe is that internal communication seems to
fall down sometimes. Messages don't always seem to get through to other members of staff and, when my Aunt has been unable to take my calls, I often don't get the return phone calls that I'm promised.
Overall though, I'm very happy and know we made the right decision moving her here.

A care home is a home to residents for care.
Care in this care home is excellent in manners of ways, because all of the staff - manager - to kitchen staff - housekeeping staff and also the nurses and carers - because each and every member of staff at Avebury House care about what they do. That
makes an excellent home in my opinion. Excellent all round.

Following urgent admission my friend has been treated with excellent care and compassion. Every effort has been made to make her feel comfortable and welcomed.
The level of staff in this home is, in my experience, as a retired GP, well above average and all are kind, willing to go a little further
and competent.

I was so grateful that Avebury agreed to take my partner for 2 weeks. He had been in the hospital for 8 days after some falls. Leaving him feeling very confused, not knowing where he lived and wandering around all night (after sleeping all day!) - I am 84, needed to get some rest to continue his
care, he lived with me for 8 years after I suggested he should stay with me after his hip replacement - he stayed! bless him.

My dad was placed at Avebury House following a long hospital stay, we've now moved dad to be closer to all his family as Devizes was a long way out and we couldn't visit as much as we'd like. I have to say Avebury House were fantastic and Dad was very happy there, he was well cared for, he thought
so highly of all the staff, everyone went above and beyond to keep dad happy and to ensure he had everything he needed. I was always contacted if dad was unwell or if there were any concerns in regards to his health/wellbeing, dad was so sad to leave here and even though he's in a lovely new home, he often tells me how he misses Avebury House, the staff and the food. I really can't thank everyone here enough for making sure dad had a happy settled year and a half with you, thank you

After making a difficult decision to place my mum into care, I couldn't be happier with our home of choice. The staff at Avebury house are compassionate and caring and always answer any queries i have. The manager is prompt at responding to me and always available to talk to. I have had a lovely
experience considering the decision was so very difficult and most of all mum is extremely happy and thriving. Would recommend Avebury house to anybody.

There is a peaceful calm atmosphere about Avebury House with its lovely view over the garden, trees and canals. I can't thank the staff enough for their kindness and very professional care of my husband who suffered from dementia. It hasn't taken him long to really settle down there. He has plenty
of food to eat and his room is kept spotlessly clean. It's a nice place to visit as I am always made to feel very welcome and part of the 'family'.Would highly recommend it to anyone seeing a good care home.

My experience of Avebury House is an extremely positive one. The staff are without exception courteous, obliging and at all times willing to accommodate wherever possible individual requirements. There is a very pleasant garden with tables where residents can sit outside to chat with their visitors
and enjoy meals alfresco if they so wish. It is hard to fault the total commitment shown by staff who go beyond the call of duty to ensure that residents are well looked after and happy in this environment. The high standard of in-house catering is also worthy of mention with a good selection of meals always available that are prepared using good quality ingredients. It is most reassuring to know that one's loved ones are being well cared for and are in capable professional hands.
