The level of care, respect, love and support that the entire The Depperhaugh team gave to my Mum and our whole whanau was next level. Always friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our Mum was respectfully cared for and her needs met on a daily basis was reassuring to put entire
family. I live abroad and knowing that Mum was in the best care home was so important. Thank you to all at The Depperhaugh.

My wife was a resident at the Depperhaugh for 4 years. The care throughout this time was exemplary. Her illness was rare, and the staff rose to the challenge of finding out and understanding it. Nothing was too much trouble, and all the staff, and I include housekeepers, took a real hands-on
approach to her care. The activities were greatly valued. The level of communication between me and the staff was excellent. Because of her illness there were times when she was very anxious and unsettled, and I was always able to leave the Depperhaugh knowing that her care needs, especially attention, were being met. The staff were also very supportive of me and other family members and friends who visited. As her illness progressed the end of life care provided was excellent, and on overnight stays the staff made sure we were as comfortable as possible.
Throughout her time at the Depperhaugh my wife retainerd a full understanding and awarene of what was happening to her, and she valued the care.

The staff at the Depperhaugh were absolutely exemplary in the care they gave my mum as she reached the end of her life. She had been in the home for a number of years and they really treated her like family, going well above and beyond the care they are paid for.

My relative was lovingly cared for at The Depperhaugh for over 4 years while her physical and psychological health deteriorated with PSP. The staff.were very understanding and responsive to her needs and welcoming to us as regular visitors.
Despite the difficulties of caring for a degenerative and
progressive condition we felt the care she received was exemplary.

A caring environment and a lovely welcoming home. The staff are very nice and the food looks appetizing and home made. There was always a cup of tea delivered to my mother-in-law when we were there and on occasions we were asked if we would like one .

Every time we have visited we have noticed how well cared for all residents were and how each received individual and prompt attention. The staff are kind and attentive and a variety of activities seem to be on offer most times we visit. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming.

We recently went to the Depperhaugh Christmas Fair. It was a truly festive occasion, where residents were fully immersed in the Christmas activities.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who treated residents with care and dignity. They weren't talking 'at' the residents but
'to' them.
I really feel like my mum is at home, and not in a home.
Thank you Depperhaugh for your Christmas spirit and cheer.
We went home really feeling that Christmas had arrived!

My mother in law has been at the Depperhaugh Care Home for one month. From the minute she arrived in the ambulance to now the Home has been caring , considerate and professional. They have helped her settle in very well. The staff are very friendly and helpful when we arrive and always know how
Mum is and how she has been. The Home is clean , tidy and well organised. The activities provided are daily , well run and the staff are very engaging and always encourage the residents to participate if they want to.

I was so impressed by the love and care my late mum was given in her short time spent at Depperhaugh. All the staff were so caring and hardworking, really friendly and they did everything they could to make sure mum was looked after in the best way possible. I would definitely recommend this home.
The staff also showed so much care to our family as well

My Dad has been here for the last two years. He has been looked after with grace and dignity every day. Some days are not as good as others, but the staff know what he needs every time.
The food is hotel standard and there is always a choice of what to eat. They have a great choice of activities
which are focused on the person, keeping their minds involved and active.
The staff are ways helpful and care for Dad even when he has an off day they greet him with a smile. He has been so fortunate to be able to be there

I visit my friend, a resident, fortnightly. The care I have seen given to my friend is exemplary. The staff are patient, kind and helpful, especially helping to get my friend ready for a wheelchair 'walk' in the grounds. The activities are interesting and fun, the food provided looks nutritious and
catered for the individual where needed. I would recommend the Depperhaugh to anyone needing a high level of nursing care. I have visited many care homes through my profession and this home is one of the best.

We have visited the Nursing Home for 2+ years and have always been welcomed by all members of staff, Each one knows the resident we have come to visit, and know her location on the day of visiting. A report on how our friend is on our day of visiting is a usual procedure, and we are filled in with
what has been happening prior to our visit. It is evident the staff work with their residents, and do not put pressure on for them to do what they do not wish to do. The room our friend is in is well presented, and there are as many personal items around as she wishes to have. The varied programme of activities for residents to partake in is pleasing, as sometimes our friend will join in, but sometimes not! The standard of presentation relating to the decor is good, everything is clean and well presented. The grounds around the home are well cared for, and provide a welcome part of the Home for residents to be taken round. The setting is tranquil and stimulating.

The staff at The Depperhaugh are very hardworking, friendly and caring, getting to know my sister and her specific needs. They have tried their best to encourage my sister to take part in events in the main rooms downstairs or go outside in warmer weather. The care home is always very clean and
well-presented, with a lovely dining area and spacious main rooms with various activities provided. I trust that my sister is in good hands and that the staff (including the Manager) have her best interests in mind at all times. I would highly recommend this excellent care home.

My mother has been in The Depperhaugh for 2y6m. She is well cared for and treated with love and respect, as are all residents. The staff know each resident's particular likes and dislikes and always accommodate the individuals. There is always a cheerful atmosphere and it feels very homely with
flowers on the tables, organised activities and TV or music playing. The rooms are currently being refreshed with new decor and furniture so are even better than before. The garden and grounds are well maintained and a joy to sit in when the weather suits. The twice-daily activities are varied and well-organised. I chose to review July 2024 as this was when my mother was taken to Wroxham on a boat trip on the broads with picnic lunch. I was able to join the trip and we had a very happy outing and it's so nice to look back at the photos of her smiley face and be able to share this with family and friends. She had a lovely day out.

My Nan was in this care home for around 13 weeks before she suddenly passed away, was such a shock. But the love and care that my Nan received, we couldn't be any happier. From the second she arrived everyone made her feel welcome, loved and part of the family. Anything she wanted she had and the
service was top-notch. The cleanliness and hygiene were superb. Couldn't have wished for a nicer care home for my Nan to go in. Thank you for all that you did for her.
