View Full Details of Hollie Hill Care HomeMy husband has had respite several times in Hollie Hill, and I have no complaints at all. He is now permanent. The staff from management (who are very approachable) to the housekeepers are very kind and caring to the residents and their relatives. I would recommend this home to anyone.
My husband has been in Holly Hill for nearly 3 months. It is very traumatic for someone aged 96yrs to leave his home. He has settled well with management and the staff. Food not bad, but could be better. The care he receives is excellent - staff so considerate. One thing I would like is new cups and a carpet cleaner as his needs cleaning. Apart from that, he is very content and is well cared for.
Staff are all very kind and caring. My dad has not been in long, but I can tell straight away that the staff will look after him and treat him with care and dignity. They spoke so lovely to my dad, I was close to tears. The room is lovely with a beautiful view of the garden. There is also a kitchen for family members to use. This was an excellent idea.
We found everyone very helpful and understanding, my husband could be a bit bad tempered at times, but they took everything in their stride and tried to have a conversation with him. I am most grateful for their kindness.
The manageresses of the section I was in were very good, helpful, they sorted any issues I had quickly and efficiently. The care assistants were excellent and very friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for me. They were always available when needed both the dayshift and evening staff were very good. I wasn't given any choice of food that I could have, with being on a special diet. More choices should be available.
The staff in charge of medication were meticulous in their timing and administration. Compassion and care are on display from the care staff towards residents. Food of high quality and nutritious. Breakfast choice of juice, cereal and cooked food. Bacon sandwiches are favoured by residents.
It's like a home from home. Staff all like family. Dad is very happy and loved. Couldn't ask for more.
My husband is a very recent patient at Hollie Hill, and so far, it has been a relatively good experience thanks to the wonderful staff.
Lovely friednly home. Staff always happy to help and go out of their way. Also lovely and clean and bright.
The treatment I had from all staff was exemplary. They were efficient, caring, helpful and encouraging. Home was beautifully kept and a pleasure to be in. Although I was in pain, they made the whole journey for me bearable - for which I thank them sincerely.
We are all grateful for the care that our aunty receives in her time at the home.
Over the last 9 months the service user feels that the staff and carers are all very nice and caring, nothing is a trouble to them. All needs fully met. They go out of their way to be kind, lovely room and large ensuite. Good laundry. We have had no issues with the service user's care. Too many agency staff used. Very busy unit. Management change so awaiting further improvements to staffing and changes for the better in the coming future.
Mum was admitted to Hollie Hill for respite care after breaking her arm and injuring her leg. We have found the care she is being given is very good, all staff on the unit have been very helpful, very friendly and very caring. We are very happy with the care mum is receiving.
Thank you for the care of my mother. Much appreciated.
Would like to thank all the staff who looked after our sister for all the care and consideration given she was made to feel at home. We would highly recommend this care home couldn't fault them all one bit. We would like to wish you all a healthy and safe new year. Thank you all from all of her family.
My mam entered Hollie Hill Care Home in September with a broken leg. The care she received was first class. The staff were wonderful. When I left her after visiting time I was confident that she was getting the best possible care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hollie Hill. Thanks again.
My mother was admitted to Hollie Hill, shortly before my dad’s death in July 2023. With her numerous ailments, she needed professional care, which neither myself, my brother, our wives nor our other family members were able to provide. She has had amazing care from every single member of staff at the home. I would recommend Hollie Hill to anyone looking for somewhere, where their relative or friend will receive the best care possible.
My mum entered Hollie Hill Care Home for end-of-life care in July 2022 with a poor prognosis. Here we are 13 months later and she continues to fight on! The quality of care from all of the staff at the home is a major part of that - she has built a good relationship with her care team and they are open, friendly and really proactive at noticing change and seeking input from appropriate professionals. While her prognosis remains poor, her quality of life in the home exceeds what she had experienced for a number of years before going in. My family and I could not be more grateful for the care and support she has had. The home was recommended to me by a colleague in social care and I would willingly recommend it to others.
We have had a very positive experience at Hollie Hill Care Home. My mother was here initially for respite care and was so pleased with the high standard of care that she wants to return when needing full time nursing care. All the staff are very helpful, nothing is a bother to them and they genuinely care for the clients - the food is great too.
The staff were very busy/hardworking people, a pity I did not see them all on the day I left. I would have liked to thank them all for looking after me.
