View Full Details of Godden Lodge Care HomeFood very good, staff very good and patient but not enough of them, consequently some days he is not out of bed until noon.
Godden Lodge have made the transition to residential care amazing for mum. The staff have been amazing at helping mum to settle and feel part of their community. They have also been wonderful for helping our family to know that mum is safe, happy and well looked after.
My mother has lived in the home for just over two years. Initially, it was a struggle. She had been used to living on her own with the help of carers. Once she had settled in to her new surroundings things have been good. All the staff, I have contact with, that includes carers, activities and cleaners are wonderful.
Staff have always been polite and helpful, nothing seems to be too much trouble and they keep me informed of any incidents.
My mum had been in Godden Lodge for nearly 6 years. She was so happy well cared for in every sense. I cannot fault the staff from the beginning to Mum's last breath.# They are all ANGELS.
My dad passed away at home, the staff was amazing to my dad and me. They played his favourite songs when in his last hours. Sat with him till I got there. He was only there couple of months but every one was amazing can't praise them enough big big cuddle My dad loved it thanks xxxx
My dad well cared for by staff always clean and smart and looks comfortable. The food is well presented and good portions although my dad has puree food. The staff are very friendly and helpful and offer us a cup of tea. The rooms are kept very clean and presentable. My dad has a very good view of the gardens which makes him smile a lot, most of the rooms have this. A lovely care home.
Very happy with the care provided.
Very happy with the home and all staff. Dad cared for very well.
Staff are caring, kind, friendly and attentive even when under pressure. The meals are varied and residents appear to enjoy them. There are some excellent activities but these don not seem to happen often. The residents could do with more music and stimulation. The complex and room are clean and tidy.
Since my father arrived he has been welcomed by all the staff into a wonderful family environment. So friendly, helpful, lovely caring people. Dad was pampered and made to feel so very comfortable in the few days he had. Dad told me he was so happy, warm and the cup of coffee he had was beautiful. Dad was grateful to be in such a lovely caring nursing home with amazing wonderful nurses and carers. Thank you all so very much x
My grandad goes here and I have to say, it's an amazing care home! The staff are so so friendly and caring and take such good care of all the people here. Food is lovely, beds and rooms are always made and tided, I have to say, this is just the best carehome!!
My mother was end of life, palliative care when she was transferred to Godden Lodge Cephus ward. Although fairly independent at the time, she became more and more unwell. The team at Cephus and the care home manager couldn't have been more caring. They arranged for an early birthday party for her and went over and beyond in making sure her ending was as comfortable and dignified as is possible. Thank you Cephus.
Mum is very happy at Godden Lodge, she has told us she is comfortable and feels safe. Mum really enjoys the company of the carers and nurses and thinks they are excellent. As a family we feel content and assured that we have put Mum in good hands. Thank you to all who work here.
My mum has been in Godden Lodge Care Home for just over a year, she has advanced dementia so can be very challenging but the staff are amazing. Her personal care is so good even with Mum's constant complaining, It doesn't matter what time of day you go the home is always spotless, the staff sit and do various activities, it has surpassed my expectations and I can't thank all of the staff highly enough.
From the moment my mum was settled into Godden Lodge, myself and the family felt that Mum would be safe and happy there, which was a huge relief. All the staff were caring and kind and Mum told us frequently how happy she was and that the staff really cared for her. We always felt very welcome to visit anytime and Mum loved it when we brought our dog to visit her too! Anytime we had any worries or concerns the staff always were happy to discuss things and take any necessary action. I often thought if I ever needed 24-hour care I could be so happy there, as Mum was until she peacefully passed away.
It was my mum's birthday and the staff gave my mum a cake with candles on it, sang happy birthday and took some pictures. One of the pictures is on the notice board, that was brilliant. I didn't ask them to do it, so that made it even more special, not only for Mum but for me as well. A massive thank you to all the staff. Mum has favourites but they change each time I see her, so to me, that shows how brilliant each one is with my mum. Thank you.
Our Mum came into this home for end-of-life care. All the staff were very kind, respectful and caring to our Mum and our family in the last few weeks of her life. Can't praise or thank them enough.
Following my Father being admitted into Godden Lodge, we were very pleased with both the quality of the home and the amazing staff. This was then followed by my Mum being admitted due to palliative care. The staff worked hard to get them on the same ward, which is incredible having been married for 73 years and never separated, what more can I say.
The lodge is always clean and tidy with the staff providing a friendly welcome on arrival. The staff are helpful and always willing to help whenever we visit and also know when to leave us for some 'family time'. Everyone seems to know our father-in-law throughout all the staff and always makes sure he is provided with good care.
