I could not in all honesty recommend this establishment as a caring and home from home residential home. The place is run for the staff, not residents. Whilst they insist on breakfast being served in the resident's own room, this means that the food is normally cold, with the solution being to have
cornflakes. As the breakfast should form part of the day where get-togethers could occur, most people tend to be very solitary. There is a group of individuals, approx eight, who seem to be fully able-bodied, who enjoy the facilities on offer, those less able are not really wanted, more tolerated. Some carers/cleaners are very helpful and the epitome of what you would expect. However, there is a definite small group of carers who display far less than a professional attitude. Indeed one senior carer I heard berating my relative over a virtual assistant machine and had to inform management. Nothing was done and he was always perturbed when this shift were on. Activities for males non-existent.
