Lovely home, staff are really friendly, my aunt was really well cared for and it was nice to see. The best part about the goldenly is the activities for the residents. It keeps them active and entertained. The staff are very caring and treat the residents like family.
My lovely mum had been at Goldenley for nearly 5 years, she refers to it as her 'Goldenley Family '. The staff are so kind, caring and to be honest they are just AMAZING ! Thank you to all of the staff for taking care of my mum and always making us feel so welcome . Xxxx
I'm so grateful for the kindness and care that all the staff at Goldenley have shown to my mum who recently moved there. They have really helped us with this new transition for her and she seems so much happier than we could have hoped
My Mum has been a resident at Goldenley for nearly 4 years. Personally I think it is such a kind, caring and thoughtful home. All the staff are lovely, totally admire their dedication and empathy they show not just my Mum, but all the residents, in such a difficult environment. With me living abroad it is a comfort to know she is safe and in extremely good hands. Thank you.
My mother in law needed urgent residential care after suffering from a stroke had increased her dementia suddenly. Staff were very helpful, understanding and compassionate and within a week we could get some sort of normality back in our lives and the knowledge that she was being fully cared for. Any concerns I have initiated re health have been brought to the GPs attention who visits the care home regularly. Food is absolutely outstanding. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are numerous lounges and residents are encouraged to sit in the main lounges and join in with the activities on a daily basis, be it singers visiting, craft activities, farm visitors and celebrating special occasions, a cake is always supplied by the chefs on a birthday. It feels like home and after having lots of doubts over whether she needed to be in care we are now happy she is being cared for so well, much better than we could have managed. No hesitation recommending this care home.
My mum seems very happy here, always clean, well fed and staff are generally very good. Whenever I visit the staff always give me feed back how my mum is doing. Any changes in my mum's medication and general health is always fully explained.
I cannot fault Goldenley'. My mother has been a resident for over 7 years and the care she has received has kept her well and stimulated. The staff are amazing, the activities truly engaging and creative, especially the musical ones. They make it feel like one big family. The home and her room are always clean and tidy and there are always staff available for the residents and families.
Our Mum is a full-time resident at Goldenley Care Home and has been living there for just over three years. The Goldenley staff are friendly, professional and caring and they keep us involved of her care and medical needs. And we find that the staff make us feel very welcome when we go to visit her each week. She is cared for and looked after well, and we appreciate all the staff members who have her wellbeing at heart. Thank you all so much.
Mum has been cared for in Goldenley for two years now. I cannot fault the care that she receives or the atmosphere of the Home. The team are always available to listen to any concerns and happy to spend time discussing them. There is entertainment and / or activities most days and every one is included, so far as they are able. The cooks produce a varied menu using fresh food and served in the dining room at tables, or individually if the client needs assistance. We are very lucky to have this facility close to home, which relieves a lot of our worries about Mum.
My partner became a resident of Goldenley Care Home in October 2024. I was her full-time carer at home for 5 years after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in January 2020, following an early-stage dementia assessment in 2019. She had been attending the Daycare centre at Goldenley, so it became an easier transition for her to become a full-time resident, which was arranged by her son, whilst I was recovering in the hospital. I believe Goldenley is an excellent Care Home, and the staff do a very difficult job with professionalism, dedication and empathy, working hard to ensure that my partner receives the best quality care. I greatly admire their work ethic and dedication. Any minor issues are dealt with promptly, and they advise and inform about any health issues, such as weight loss or having a fall. Although it breaks my heart not being with my partner, I know she is in safe and in good hands with Goldenley.
My mother in law has been resident at Goldenley since May 2023. Care is exceptional with a real family feel. There is a low turnover of staff which allows for excellent continuity of care. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and so kind to the residents. A comprehensive programme of activities and entertainment caters to all tastes, adding to the community feel of the home. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Goldenly care home in Benfleet isn't like every other care home. The moment you walk in you realise it's special. The home is very stylishly decorated and feels so homely. The staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble, everyone smiles . My father is five weeks in to his stay and he has got happier and happier every day. The rooms are very well decorated , the residents are encouraged to make their rooms homely. The staff have worked so hard getting to know him , they know what he likes and what he doesn't. Since my father has been here they have celebrated St Patrick's day, St George's day, Easter, and VE Day
My mum enjoyed every minute of her respite at Goldenley care home. They looked after her very well, and she enjoyed all of the different activities. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
My mum recently had to go into care as she was struggling to look after herself after the death of our dad and she had dementia. It was never an easy decision for us to make because Mum had always been such a strong, independent person. We did look at different options for Mum but we finally found a place that Mum loved and would manage to get her life back on track. We can’t thank the staff enough at Goldenley Care Home for giving Mum back her independence and most of all, her infectious personality. I sat with Mum recently at the home and couldn’t believe the change in her. We never stopped laughing. Kind regards.

My dad stayed for four weeks respite. He had attended the day centre and enjoyed going. While at the day centre the carers would send me videos of my dad having fun and he would hug them as he left. It was the obvious choice for him to stay there. I needn't have worried about how he would feel being away from home - he thought it was a hotel and didn't want to leave! He enjoyed the food and the activities and liked the residents and the carers. It was reassuring every time I visited to see him so relaxed and happy. He always looked well cared for and his room and communal areas were all clean. Very happy with the service and would happily recommend.
A very caring environment. All staff go to great lengths to keep the residents happy.
