Absolutely amazing home, grandad had come from fulbourn and he is extremely happy and looks so much more content here. Home and staff are great nothing is to much trouble, communication is perfect. Thank you

I arrived on 4th November and was met by staff, I was immediately made to feel welcome and within an hour I had had a complete makeover. A fabulous start to what had been a difficult decision, moving into care from home in such a short space of time. The staff here are amazing, they are professional and respectful, they give their time freely, my room is immaculate and beautifully decorated in autumn colours. Staff regularly check if anything is needed and come quickly even when busy to reassure me that they will deal with my need asap. My son came today, said I looked happier and healthier than I had done for weeks, I am Mum again. My journey has not been an easy one, diagnosed with MND in July and rapid progress in decline but feel I now have a quality of life here. Thank you Buchan House. Jilly

My grandfather is living in Buchan House, he is well looked after, his needs are always met and I never have any concerns regarding his care. He was always such a sociable man and so the fact he can join in with activities in the home is great for his social skills and gives me peace of mind when I am unable to visit.

My mum came here in Feb 2025 from the beginning she has been cared for in a wonderful way. I cannot thank all the staff she has been in contact with enough. The staff involved mum in all events even though she was deaf and I enjoyed the photos posted most days, I will cherish these for ever. The final days have been the hardest ever and all the staff treated my mum with respect and dignity right to the end. The care for us as a family was well appreciated. Mum appeared to love them all. I fully recommend you to take a look and trust your loved ones to this wonderful place. Mandy x

The staff working here are kind caring and very professional. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they always go the extra mile. Their service users are always happy and seem to be really settled. It's just a lovely environment for them to live.

My father moved into Buchan House at the start of June. He had been in hospital for 7 months. We were very anxious about the move due to his dementia. I met the manager on a tour prior to my dad moving in, and I immediately had a good feeling about the home and staff while I was on the tour. From early visits, it was clear to see they care so much for the people staying there. Each day there are activities for the residents to be involved in. The food is great quality, and I am kept up to date with my dad with calls from the staff. It is so satisfying that I know my dad is being looked after in such a great care home. The home is very clean, well maintained and looked after. and all the staff are passionate about their work.

The level of care and attention to detail is outstanding. The team takes the time to get to know each resident personally, ensuring their individual needs are met with kindness and respect. The activities and social events are wonderful too - there's always something going on to keep everyone engaged and happy.

My Nan came here for a few weeks to give my family much needed break and the staff are all friendly and go out of their way to welcome the family. The home is relaxed about visiting times and they take pride in getting to know each resident and what they like. The food always looks good and good choices. The home itself is clean and looks well maintained which I believe shows care and attention. I am happy when the time comes to full care my Nan will be happy here.

I visit Buchan House regularly to visit a family friend. I am always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. We are made to feel like part of the home and are always to join in if there is activities going on. Our friend has all her photos and personal items in her room and loves the team and going out in the garden. I know family and friends feel very reassured.

We could not be happier with the excellent level of care my father in law has received at Buchan House Care home. Every thing from the communication with families to the planned activities to entertain the residents to the highest level of care that is delivered day in day out. This care home is exceptional and it is so reassuring to know that every one there is treated with respect, dignity and compassion. I cannot fault the place. Thank you for everything you do.

My friend has been living in Buchan for over 3 years and I can honestly say its been a wonderful experience for him. The home has a lovely welcoming atmosphere & is always clean & maintained. The staff are kind attentive & generally care about the wellbeing of everyone. Most importatnly my friend is happy living there which gives me great peace of mind. I would highly recommend this care home.

The main thing we we looking for was the care home to treat my dad with dignity, compassion, kindness and respect. Buchan House has delivered this on all counts. Every single member of the team their has contributed to my dad feeling safe, cared for and looked after.

I can't thank Buchan House enough for the care and compassion they've shown to my grandma. From the very beginning, the staff made her feel welcome and safe, and it's been a huge comfort to our whole family knowing she's in such good hands. The caregivers are attentive, patient, and genuinely kind. They take the time to get to know each resident, not just care for them. My grandma often tells us how much she enjoys the activities, how good the meals are, and how friendly everyone is-from the nurses to the cleaning staff. What really stands out is the level of communication. We're always kept informed about her health and wellbeing, and they're quick to respond to any concerns we have. It's clear they treat residents like family. Seeing my grandma smile and thrive at Buchan House means the world to us. We're truly grateful for everything the team does.

Very friendly home, they look after my Grandmother very well. She enjoys all the entertainment. They allow us to bring pets along for the visit which always cheers the residents up. Staff are always helpful.

My friend was a resident at Buchan house for 6 months,She spoke very highly about her care and the kindness of the staff especially when she was nearing the end of her life,passing peacefully with dignity.When I used to visit I was impressed with the array of activities on offer and the calm surroundings.Buchan was always very clean and everyone so friendly.Thank you!

Buchan House is a truly wonderful home. I couldn't think of anywhere better to send someone. From the moment you walk in the door the team are friendly and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble for the team and I am very grateful for all they do.

My relative is a new resident at Buchan House and has been treated with respect, dignity and kindness, we as a family are very happy with his care. All staff members are approachable, willing to help/answer and questions. The communication between the home and us as a family is good.

My mother was extremely well cared for and loved by the carers. I never had any concerns. She was always kept clean, fed and watered and not left on her own all the time. As she was bed bound, remained in her room. I would highly recommend this home and became friends with the staff myself. They always kept me up to date and as a frequent visitor I know mum was loved.

I am very satisfied to the care and love shown to my mother, from the time she moved into the home until her death. She was shown respect, care, fun, interest and love for the ten years she lived in Buchan, until her death.
