View Full Details of Hilton HouseVery well ran and professional. I don't know all the staff's names yet but all are great. Ally , Max and the team are caring and professional, always looking out for the residents . Definitely not an easy job but Hilton house smash it.
I feel I need to express how very grateful I am with staff at Hilton House for the compassion on getting my mum ready for my daughter's/her granddaughter's wedding day. Unfortunately, my mum was unable to go, so I video called my mum and she watched her granddaughter walk down the aisle at the home. Thank you to the staff and my mum's old carer who came to the home to help. I can not put into words how much this meant, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Mum is very happy and settled in the home. She has a favourite chair which is hers and hers only. She is happy with her care, and the room is kept very clean and tidy. All the staff are very friendly to Mum and ourselves.
The Staff of Hilton House were very professional, helpful and friendly. They looked after my mother, who suffers from dementia, for 2 weeks of respite care. I cannot fault them and would have no problem using their services again.
Everyone has been very kind towards mum. They've got to know her and take her likes and dislikes into consideration. Mum - what she would like is for plates to be warmed when food is served on them.
Staff are very friendly, residents are looked after, they look happy, and every time I visit it's clean. Any concerns, they are happy to help. I've never had any problems since I have been coming. It would be nice if they had free activity days out, because some people don't have the money to pay for those kind of luxuries.
My mum is settled and happy, staff are friendly and very helpful. I cannot find anything bad to say about the home. The activities are also spot on. I can't speak highly enough of all the staff at Hilton House.
My mum is well looked after and I know she is safe, fed and clean. All staff are excellent.
I find the staff prepared to go out of their way to help or explain anything. They are always checking how the residents are and if they have any extra needs. They are always up for a laugh and at the same time make sure everyone is safe. Could not find a better care home. The rooms are cleaned, laundry done daily and residents are showered daily.
The home is inviting and I am always made to feel welcome, I visit everyday. The staff are caring and always look after the residents. I have no concerns with the home and would recommend to others.
My grandad's care was outstanding, he was treated with dignity and respect and really enjoyed the daily activities. When my grandad's needs changed, he went to a nursing care home, we as a family were sad to be leaving Hilton House.
My grandad came to Hilton House following a fall and has not been able to walk again, he also has dementia and parkinsons disease. The care he receives is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. He's very settled and made a few friends whom he enjoys playing dominos with. Well done to all the staff, you are amazing.
My friend in this home is loving her time there. She enjoys the activities and going out to pub lunches. The staff are really helpful and the manager is helpful and always has time to answer any concerns.
Dad went into Hilton House in December 2023 and is still there! He is cared for very well the carers know him well and get him to join in with activities! He loves colouring, playing games and teasing the staff which they find funny! He is now unable to walk so is in a wheelchair he is 91 years old and has several disabilities but he gets taken out for lunch and depending on the weather gets to go on other trips! Dad doesn’t communicate with others very well unfortunately but the caring staff are always willing to make him comfortable. He’s now in a safe environment and has lovely meals and snacks! And has full care 24/7 I highly recommend Hilton House so if you’re looking for a home for a relative rest assured this is home from home! Relatives are always made very welcome too.
Our friend was permitted to remain in his room as much as he wanted to. The carers understood his nature and reluctance to "join in" and seemed to respect that. He was treated with respect. He did not like being woken up before 7:30am!
My brother has been in Hilton House for almost 10 years. During his time here, he has been settled and for the most part been very happy. And the staff are very good.
From the time my aunt arrived at this home, I can say that she settled in straight away and is very happy and content. The staff and management team are committed and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is always something for the residents to get involved in if they wish as well as frequent days out including pub lunches. My aunt is well cared for, happy and moving here has made a huge difference to her life.
The person I visit has all her mental faculties but is unable to walk and her eyesight and hearing are poor. As a result, she does not have much stimulation and feels depressed and bored. She can just about make out some of the activities provided but cannot see or hear the television. She sits in a chair all day long and says that she just wishes for death. She is unable to fully interact with other residents due to her hearing and usually cannot understand them if they try and talk to her, as they have their own 'problems'. The staff are kind and helpful but obviously, they have many other residents to assist. A set of headphones linked to a radio would perhaps help to make her life and others in a similar situation more meaningful.
My beautiful Mum was accepted for an urgent assessment when my dad was admitted to hospital. All the staff were amazing and happily Mum settled very quickly. After her trial, she was accepted permanently. During this time my dad has been having an assessment elsewhere. My dream was to get them both settled, together. They are now both together and settling within Hilton House - thanks to all the care and support from the staff. Fairytales do come true!
Unfortunately, things took a very negative turn when my father’s behaviour was affected as a result of a UTI. Despite remaining compliant and the odd behaviour not recurring following a course of antibiotics, he was served notice on his stay here. The notice was preceded with a phone call telling me not to be concerned as it was being served to “get the right support from Social Services”. Forcing a 91 year old man to leave is not what I expected of this care home.
