My friend, who was elderly and needed help with all aspects, was very well cared for at all times. The carers were always obliging and kind. The nursing staff, the manager and the admin persons were always so pleasant and helpful.
I was always made welcome when visiting.

I can't praise Hillside Lodge and all the staff enough for their kind and friendly approach for the care that has been given to my mum, always very professional and friendly.
Hillside Lodge facilities are excellent all round.

My mum is in this care home and I cannot fault the staff. All the staff members are absolutely amazing and very helpful. My mum loves being in this care home. If there is a problem and you go to speak to a member of staff it gets sorted out

I have just visited my friend in hillside lodge
I am always made to feel welcome
My friend is very happy and settled she enjoys the meals and there is always something for her to do
Her room is lovely and bright and the home is always clean
All the staff are very friendly and do a great job
My friend is never lonely and feels very much at home

Can only praise everyone at Hillside Lodge. Staff at all levels are excellent. Facilities, food and care provided exceeded all expectations. Not much more to say. Excellent in all departments.

This review is about my mum who sadly passed away in March. The staff was very friendly, very helpful at all times she loved the food, room was always very clean + tidy she got on well with all the staff.

The staff at Hillside have been absolutely immense all the way through my aunt's stay, my aunt was particularly challenging as she had very poor sight and hearing, however they took all this in their stride and made her as comfortable as possible.
Sadly, my aunt passed away on the 1st October and
again your staff were fantastic, we got a call on Friday the 27th September advising us that the doctor has said that he felt my aunt was not doing well and he considered it to be end of life, we called at the care home and my wife and daughter spent the night with her. Your staff kindly made my wife and daughter cups of tea and actually made a sandwich for them.
They treated my aunt with the upmost respect and looked after us when we were with my aunt for her last days.
We cannot praise your staff enough and please pass on our most sincere gratitude to everyone at the care home.

Our mother was here as a temporary NHS patient. My sisters and I were all impressed with the level of care, the friendly and welcoming staff and the care home environment as a whole. Our mother was very comfortable here.

I have been here since Feb 2024, it is the most wonderful place in every way. It may be that I will have to live here for the rest of my life. The whole staff team is so caring.

I have been a resident at Hillside Lodge for 2 weeks. I have enjoyed my stay here very much. The rooms are very clean and tidy. All the staff have been very kind and helpful. Also, the food is excellent and the management very helpful.

My Mother was admitted for respite care while my Father was in palliative care. She had been in hospital and needed care that could not be provided at home. The staff were absolutely magnificent in their response in providing this, from arranging her transportation from the hospital to Berwick and
then to the care that was provided for her recovery meaning that she could return home.

My mother has been a resident for a couple of months in that time there has been a marked improvement in her physical and emotional health, confidence and well-being. It is a joy to know that she is safe and looked after by a very professional caring and compassionate team of staff in all roles.
Care extends to the family too as we are always made welcome and it is obvious that all staff know and understand my mother well and are interested in her as a person. At this time of change in both of our lives, I consider myself fortunate that my mother could not be in better hands.
