My 80-year-old mum came to Hillside in July 2026, and from the moment she arrived, she was treated with exceptional kindness, dignity and respect. Every member of staff was caring, compassionate and genuinely went above and beyond, not only looking after Mum but supporting our whole family through an incredibly difficult time.
They made her final days as comfortable and peaceful as possible, while also giving us the time, space and support to spend time with her. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their warmth and professionalism made an unbearable time so much easier.
We will always be grateful for the outstanding care Mum received. I cannot recommend Hillside highly enough. Thank you to every member of the team for making such a difference to Mum's final days. You are by far, an outstanding team and cannot thank you enough.

My father has been a resident of Hillside care home for the past 3 years,he loves it,the staff are so friendly and caring. He gets stimulation in the lounge games etc. When I go in there isn't anyone who does not speak,I can't speak highly enough of Shanti and all the staff. Excellent!!

Overall experience in Hillside Lodge, not value for money regarding care, 20-minute wait to be taken to the toilet. 40 minutes wait for a response to the alarm, to be told staff were on their break. On one occasion, waiting 1 hour for a meal course and getting it myself from the kitchen, being offered an afternoon drink, and it didn't materialise. Having showers when told my husband preferred a bath, preferred to eat in room, always taken to the dining room, except when I fed him. Little notice taken of what he liked for breakfast. Items of clothing are missing. On returning home, the home care were concerned about his bottom. Never mentioned in Hillside.
