My mam has been at sovereign Lodge since October 2024 the staff are amazing. The staff are caring, warm, friendly and compassionate. They take the time to sit and talk with mam. Our family is very happy with the care and support Mam receives. We are always welcomed into the building warmly by any
member of staff that is around. The staff always have a moment to discuss any question we have about mam's care and any worries we may about mams health. I feel the staff know mam very well and are able to adjust to her moods. There are activities every day ranging from arts and crafts to exercise classes and visiting entertainment. Mam rarely gets involved but is asked daily if she wants to join in.
The staff work extremely hard and I sometimes feel that there should be more staff working to cope with the amount of residents and the individual care each person needs.

My mother has been a resident here for 14 months. During this time I have felt that the care she has received has been exemplary. Any concerns that I have had have been dealt with promptly, with care and compassion. I would like to commend the staff here for the care they provide.

My mum seems very happy with the care she's getting. I have no concerns about the safety of my mum. The staff are very friendly, efficient and organised. My mum has her favourite carers and keeps mentioning them by name. It's important to me she gets the right care, as she has no family apart from
myself (her only son). I feel the staff are easy to approach and talk to and we are both respected. The only negative, she doesn't like or eat all the food she gets.

Staff are excellent, friendly. Home lovely and clean. Always updated on events, social gatherings and my parents health.

Sovereign Lodge is a lovely place with great, caring staff.
Everything that is done at the home is to ensure that their residents are cared for, included with all activities and generally well looked after.
All staff are good however, there are some staff who go above and beyond - excellent.

My mum moved into the Memory care unit of Sovereign Lodge in Sept 2022 and stayed there until her death in July 2024. The staff were endlessly patient and positive in the face of her initial distress, and she gained strength and mobility under their care.
My dad or I visited mum every day and only
ever heard every member of staff being really kind to the residents. From the care staff to the housekeeper, launderers, cleaners, handyman, hairdresser, they all talked to mum and us and helped whenever they could. Mum's clothes were beautifully kept and she was also carefully dressed, showered and hair done, which made a huge difference to my dad too. When she received a terminal cancer diagnosis, they welcomed her back and cared for her so lovingly until her death, for which we will forever be grateful. The close links with the GP surgery (weekly visits and responsive to concerns) were invaluable.
Dementia is horrific but the staff at SL helped ease the pain for mum and all our family.

Excellent care home. Staff very friendly and so helpful to residents. Only wish I had put my own dad in this home. They spend a lot of time entertaining the residents. They are aways well cared for, nice and clean and every need is seen to. May benifit from more staff as they work so hard to see to
every residents needs.

My wife has been in Sovereign Lodge for more than a year. The care she has been given has been exceptional. The staff are always there for her and treat her with care and compassion and are always cheerful. Nothing is a problem.

After a meeting with management and seniors agreement was made that medication was made and administered and watched by seniors to ensure it had been taken also more communication between staff and me (or sibling). If anything to report e.g. falls, appts etc. This happened for a short while but
reverted back. Ongoing rash was not treated until I pointed it out (can't understand as it was clear to see if Mam was having regular baths). Also found medication in the draw not taken. Communication after the complaints above has resumed when it works it works but would like it to work more regularly on the plus side friendly, safe and good meals. (Mam is happy most of the time).

Sovereign Lodge always appears to be well-run and in good order.
It has a pleasant appearance with decoration which encourages conversation.
The staff are also pleasant and know and use the Christian names of the residents.
Similarly, the grounds are well-kept.
All in all, these facets point to
a well-run and resident-focused environment.

I visited Sovereign Lodge with my two young daughters to visit Grandma. It was a Friday afternoon and they were due to play Bingo. We were allowed to join in and the girls had a great time. It was lovely to see the residents all having fun and the activities co-ordinator was great, the kids thought
she was so funny. Everyone had a great time and were given tea and cakes too. Great job Sovereign Lodge - I am so glad my granny is so well looked after. My oldest daughter has been brought up visiting the home often.

I went to visit my mam, and she was with other residents and staff in the dining room. They were having a craft session and colouring in, with the staff assisting those who needed help. Everyone was nice and relaxed and enjoying themselves. It was lovely to see the rapport the staff had with
everyone, especially my mam as she was laughing and enjoying herself. It was so lovely to see the fantastic interaction.

From day one, very friendly and welcoming staff. Sovereign Lodge is light and airy and kept clean and tidy. Staff are very helpful and approachable, nothing is a problem, and have the knowledge and experience to deal with residents' needs. My mother is encouraged to join in many activities by the
staff, who really put themselves out on a daily basis; it's like an extended family. Our family has stuck gold getting a place here for Mam.

Sovereign Lodge is a lovely, happy care home. Staff are always pleasant, helpful, and so friendly - they're like family. There is always a happy atmosphere. Never see any of them not enjoying their work on a day-to-day basis.

I have now settled in and feel cared for. The staff are always pleasant and will do anything they can to help me. Any equipment I need has been ordered for me.

Parents happy and settled. Staff keep us all updated on their welfare. Well cared for! Trust staff and management to look after them. When asked to do something for parents, it is never a problem.
