View Full Details of Ashford HouseMy mum is a resident at Ashford house care home. The transition for my mum moving in was made very smooth by the staff. They are caring and attentive and always inform us of any incidents or changes in well-being. The communication is very good with the Manager. Emails are always promptly returned, queries and questions are always answered. We are always kept upto date with changes to her care plan and have an involvement. Since my mum has been in Ashford house they have upgraded the decor by painting, having new flooring and chairs for the lounge which is lovely to see They now have a social media page, which shows lots of activities including exercises, pampering sessions, family history, birthdays and much more My mum loves outdoors and it's nice to see she has been out in the community with one-to-one walks. The social media page has gave us a closer connection. It's great to see what Mum has been up to during the week. A big thank you to all the staff who all work very hard.
Very friendly staff, food ok but needs more quality nd more choice offered to residents. Aircon/fans to be supplied in all rooms. Refreshments tend to be luke warm! Chilled drinks please! Possibly another TV near the rear exit but overall good value for money. Fresh flowers/newspapers/magazines for residents.
I am filling this form in on behalf of my Mother. In general, I find that she is well-looked after and seems content. Activities seem to be quite wide ranging although Mum does not usually want to take part in them.
The home seems to be very well run. The manager is very supportive and helps my Father with any problems or worries he has. The staff seem caring and efficient.
Mum was supposed to be at the home for 1-2 weeks but ended up being there for 7 weeks. Mum is a very talkative person but unfortunately, she was not able to converse with many residents. Being in a home is a big transition for Mum so it was a struggle for her to settle in. The staff were very patient with her so thank you.
Excellent staff and management have made my mother feel welcome, at home, secure and comfortable.
My father has just had two weeks of respite care at Ashford House. The staff are extremely caring and the personal care has been of a high standard. My father has enjoyed sitting in the sunshine in the garden. He had a lovely bright and spacious room. We would definitely go back to Ashford House if my father needs more care in the future.
Ashford House is in a lovely area with a garden. When it was nice (previous month) we sat outside in the garden and it was lovely. Mum's previous home has no garden and she loved looking at the trees and hearing the birds, Mum seems very happy and every time we come she is better and happy. The staff are all lovely, she loved the cupcake making.
My mum moved into Ashford House in September. I have been very impressed with all the staff and the cleanliness of the home. My mum is settling in well. A health issue was promptly spotted and dealt with. I feel that Mum is being very well looked after which is very comforting to me.
My wife of sixty-six years of marriage has now been in Ashford House Care Home (formal Rearsby Care Home) for five and a half years. She is being looked after by the caring staff. As a family of myself and our three children, we look on the positive side. She is warm, clean and happy in a very caring home. Thank you.
