My mum has been in Ashford House residential home for 6 months. Since we first visited, we have been met with complete professionalism alongside genuine compassion. and understanding. They have treated my mum with complete respect, taking the time to fully understand her needs. Although she is bedbound, they take the time to arrange having a chat in her room, even extending activities like having the walls painted in her room, ensuring she is not left out. As a family, we are completely satisfied that she is safe and in a very secure and respectful environment. Thank you.

The care and support shown to my mother-in-law was everything we could have expected. She was treated with dignity and care all the time she was at the home, up until the day she passed away. The carers treated all our family with respect on visiting, ensuring we were all ok. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you so much.

My mother became a resident at Ashford House in late April. We chose Ashford after meeting with the manager and speaking with visiting relatives. We have not been disappointed. All the staff are very caring, attentive and relate well to the residents. Visitors are made very welcome. The GP visits regularly as does a hairdresser and chiropodist. There are activities on some days that mum really enjoys. The staff even cut and polish the residents finger nails. Mum has dementia so we appreciate the level of communication between the care staff and ourselves. Thank you for looking after mum so well.

The lower star ratings given reflect that the building itself is a little dated and organised activities, though excellent, are limited; but ultimately it is the care provided that is the most important factor.

My mums only been in here for a few months, despite the fact she's got dementia and has at times been very difficult, the staff have been patient and understanding, her personal care seems very good and they even take the time to put her jewellery on, the meals always seem home cooked and the fact that there's a regular doctor, hairdresser, chiropodist etc gives me peace of mind.

Ashford house looked after my mum with kindness, respect and dignity. All of the staff were tremendous, cheerful, kind, diligent. Our family could genuinely not have wished for a better experience for my mum and ourselves for the couple of months that she was at Ashford House. We were always kept up to date and consulted about mum's care and any minor concerns we had were addressed immediately.

The care home provided everything that my mother needs, a warm and friendly home, and staff always on hand if needed. It's also mice to see the local community also taking an active part during special times in the year. My mum is very happy here and has made one or two friends. Definitely a home from home feel about the place. Definitely excellent value.

My mum is a resident at Ashford house care home. The transition for my mum moving in was made very smooth by the staff. They are caring and attentive and always inform us of any incidents or changes in well-being.
The communication is very good with the Manager. Emails are always promptly returned, queries and questions are always answered.
We are always kept upto date with changes to her care plan and have an involvement.
Since my mum has been in Ashford house they have upgraded the decor by painting, having new flooring and chairs for the lounge which is lovely to see
They now have a social media page, which shows lots of activities including exercises, pampering sessions, family history, birthdays and much more
My mum loves outdoors and it's nice to see she has been out in the community with one-to-one walks.
The social media page has gave us a closer connection. It's great to see what Mum has been up to during the week.

A big thank you to all the staff who all work very hard.

I am filling this form in on behalf of my Mother. In general, I find that she is well-looked after and seems content. Activities seem to be quite wide ranging although Mum does not usually want to take part in them.

Mum was supposed to be at the home for 1-2 weeks but ended up being there for 7 weeks. Mum is a very talkative person but unfortunately, she was not able to converse with many residents. Being in a home is a big transition for Mum so it was a struggle for her to settle in. The staff were very patient with her so thank you.

My father has just had two weeks of respite care at Ashford House. The staff are extremely caring and the personal care has been of a high standard. My father has enjoyed sitting in the sunshine in the garden. He had a lovely bright and spacious room. We would definitely go back to Ashford House if my father needs more care in the future.

My wife of sixty-six years of marriage has now been in Ashford House Care Home (formal Rearsby Care Home) for five and a half years. She is being looked after by the caring staff. As a family of myself and our three children, we look on the positive side. She is warm, clean and happy in a very caring home. Thank you.
