I found the service user content and well. She has gained weight and says she loves being there. She has no close relatives but enjoys her friends' visits. She is fond of Gemma, Ashad, Zahida and the cook. Though she relates well to all carers. The home is basic but spotless with a caring atmosphere.

My mother became a resident at Ashford House in late April. We chose Ashford after meeting with the manager and speaking with visiting relatives. We have not been disappointed. All the staff are very caring, attentive and relate well to the residents. Visitors are made very welcome. The GP visits regularly
as does a hairdresser and chiropodist. There are activities on some days that mum really enjoys. The staff even cut and polish the residents finger nails. Mum has dementia so we appreciate the level of communication between the care staff and ourselves. Thank you for looking after mum so well.
The lower star ratings given reflect that the building itself is a little dated and organised activities, though excellent, are limited; but ultimately it is the care provided that is the most important factor.

The staff are all very friendly, caring and compassionate. The facilities are very homely, warm and spotlessly clean. My father has been a resident here for a few years now. He has severe dementia, is catheterized and he has recently become bedbound. His personal care has always been excellent. He always
looks clean and is treated with dignity. He enjoys the food. We have no complaints and would not hesitate to recommend this care home.

My mother and father are both residents at the LRSNH and have been for well over a year. In that time I believe that they have both been very well cared for. They look well and are generally very positive about the care they receive. When their health is poor the staff act quickly and effectively and
always keep me informed.
I personally find the staff friendly, approachable and kind and do not have a bad word to say about them.
The home itself is comfortable without being luxurious. In my opinion any shortfalls in this area are outweighed by the standard of care.

Mum has been at Ashfield House for 2 years now and has been well looked after. The staff here treat the residents with respect and dignity at all times. We are always made to feel welcome as visitors. There are lots of activities during each week to aid with physical and mental health of the residents
and facilities available for families to get together with residents for special occasions.

I cannot praise this wonderful care home, and all its staff, including the management. From the very first night my auntie entered these premises, she was treated with care and dignity. Nothing is too much trouble. They also make sure my auntie is happy with everything that they do for her regarding
meals, snacks and personal hygiene. She is always dressed well, and they always let me know when she needs something personal for herself.

My mums only been in here for a few months, despite the fact she's got dementia and has at times been very difficult, the staff have been patient and understanding, her personal care seems very good and they even take the time to put her jewellery on, the meals always seem home cooked and the fact
that there's a regular doctor, hairdresser, chiropodist etc gives me peace of mind.

We always find my step-aunt in the same chair in the conservatory, a light-filled place she enjoys. I was impressed as ever by the signs of activity always lively displaces of craft work undertaken. The home is impeccably clean and the residents cared for with considerate dignity and compassion. We
enjoyed our visit with a visiting relative, and they too were impressed and grateful for the hard work and dedication of the staff.

On my arrival I was greeted and a wheelchair was provided. My stay was for 2 weeks and I have nothing but praise for all the staff that attended to my every need with a lovely smile and always a word to me which makes me feel part of a family. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The food has been nice
always 2 choices and chips & egg if nothing appeals to your taste buds. The home is cleaned and kept spotless. The management have been there if I needed to ask any questions. I came in here because my husband was in for 10 months and the girls were amazing and things haven't changed. Thank you everyone.

Due to my mum having a fall the care and suooport provided by this care home was excellent. From being at my mum's side all the time, while awaiting for the ambulance. The standard of care is excellent, with staff always taking the time to understand individual needs, regardless of their position. The
facilities are clean, comfortable and home made food.
We feel very fortunate to have found such a supportive and professional care home and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Ashford house looked after my mum with kindness, respect and dignity. All of the staff were tremendous, cheerful, kind, diligent. Our family could genuinely not have wished for a better experience for my mum and ourselves for the couple of months that she was at Ashford House. We were always kept up
