My mum suffers from dementia and struggled at first to settle in the care home. She has now settled, and her eating has got better. The staff seem to be very caring and hard-working. The manager is always on hand to answer any queries. It was a hard decision for the family to let mum go into a care
home. It has turned out to be the best thing for her, and I thank the staff for their care and support.

My dad has been living at A S Care for just over a year. He has always been treated with dignity and respect, even though he has advanced dementia. He seems happy and settled there. As a family, we feel he is very well cared for, and the staff are always helpful, informative and very welcoming. The
home has a real family feel with both residents and staff, and events are organised for families to meet at summer fetes or Christmas events and encouraged to share experiences. I would fully recommend A S Care to others who need care provided for their loved ones.

What I appreciate and value most about this care home is the staff. From management and across the whole team, they see to genuinely care for the welfare and wellbeing of the residents, and for each other. This makes for a good atmosphere in which to reside, work and visit. Seniors and management are
approachable and responsive to any queries. I always feel comfortable leaving my mother there, knowing she is safe, happy and valued. I visit very regularly and this assessment is consistently the case. These are things that money can't buy, but make all the difference. People matter here.

We as a family, cannot express our gratitude to everyone at Ashfield House. All staff are so friendly and supportive. We are always welcomed with a smile. If my dad is having a bad day, there is always a hug and a cup of tea.
This was the first home offered for my dad and initially we wanted somewhere
closer to home, but the service has received over the few years the little extra miles has been so worth it.

I find the carehome staff very accommodating polite and helpful as for the carehome it has all the things I need and is warm and comfortable the only thing that in my opinion could be improved is the WiFi as the signal is not strong enough to connect to TV streaming services otherwise everything is
more than adequate and is of a good standard

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother had been a resident at Ashton Court for eight years, receiving excellent care in an environment of obvious care and kindness. She recently had experienced 'End of life care' at Ashton Court. The kindness, love and care given by all the staff at this time was amazing. Two members of staff gave
up their own time to care for my mother, others always came to see her before leaving for home or came to see her before starting work. My husband and I also received outstanding kindness and consideration from all the staff, some of whom we had never met before, as they were members of the 'night' team. I cannot state strongly enough how much we appreciate the standard of care and dedication.

Mum's home is clean and tidy. Staff are very competent, kind, caring and friendly. Very supportive of residents family. Keeping family informed of changes to their residents, i.e. change in medication, doctor visiting, well being. The home feels like a home from home place to be. Management, care staff,
cooks, cleaners, handy man, all work together as a team, so very well that it makes the home such a happy environment to live and be in.

Mum has been at Ashfield House since August 2024. She has a choice of meals every day, and they listen to her when she prefers something different. She is not very keen on the sandwich option for teatime, though. There are activities available every day which most of the residents join in with. The
activities are well thought out, encouraging mind and body well being. Care staff treat mum with dignity and respect.

The staff at AS Care are exemplary. My mum suffers from Alzheimer's Dementia and also a tricky recurring medical problem. It's tricky because when it flares up it needs to be attended to promptly but the symptoms aren't particularly unusual for an Alzheimer's sufferer. The AS Care staff have become
experts at knowing when my mum needs to go to hospital to have the problem resolved. I'm always kept up to date with what's happening with my mum and on medical advice given. My input is also always asked for on decisions concerning my mum. The close eye everyone at AS Care keeps on my mum and the genuine care they give her makes living in a different city much easier to manage both physically and emotionally.
