The nursing home were very helpful. We could go and visit anytime of the day and they would inform us of how Dad had been that day. They will keep us informed and advise us on any actions we should take. If we had any queries or issues, they would help resolve. After being in another nursing home previously,
they picked up a serious medical issue within 24 hours.

My mum is a resident at Ashford house care home. The transition for my mum moving in was made very smooth by the staff. They are caring and attentive and always inform us of any incidents or changes in well-being.
The communication is very good with the Manager. Emails are always promptly returned,
queries and questions are always answered.
We are always kept upto date with changes to her care plan and have an involvement.
Since my mum has been in Ashford house they have upgraded the decor by painting, having new flooring and chairs for the lounge which is lovely to see
They now have a social media page, which shows lots of activities including exercises, pampering sessions, family history, birthdays and much more
My mum loves outdoors and it's nice to see she has been out in the community with one-to-one walks.
The social media page has gave us a closer connection. It's great to see what Mum has been up to during the week.
A big thank you to all the staff who all work very hard.

I would recommend this care home to anyone who is thinking of choosing a care home for any family member or relatives.
They are compassionate very step of the way from visitors or the residents.
After my father had been in the nursing home for less than 24 hours the pick up that dad's medication
was inconsistent and rang us to advise us and to get our authorisation to assist with medication.
When the meal times came if it was something dad didn't want or liked they were happy to change and even go the extra mile and make something separate for him.
The staff are first class listen to us and the management could not have been more helpful

My mother came to Ashfield House in October 2024, having fallen and broken her femur and displaying early signs of dementia.
She has settled into Ashfield well and while she is sometimes emotionally stressed, this is now her permanent home, so it's very important to the family that she is as happy
as possible and looked after by caring helpers. That is certainly the care at Ashfield. The staff are amazingly good, the room and facilities are excellent and there is so much organised for the residents. We were so very fortunate to have settled on Ashfield, it is really an outstanding care home. Thanks and congratulations to all staff.

The staff are mainly polite and most of the time treat residents with respect, the care home is always clean and feels homely. Sometimes the residents seem to be consistently left on their own which could possibly be a worry. Overall a great experience for the residents and the family members.

My sister has been living in A S Care for nearly 13 years she has always been happy. She has had quite a lot of illness over the years plus being an amputee and the staff have been really caring and helpful. She has seen a lot of staff come and go over the years. My sister passed away recently but I
know she was loved and looked after. Thank you.

Staff were all extremely kind and friendly. Mum was looked after really well. Mum was treated with dignity and respect by all staff. As a family, we were also treated with dignity and respect. Communication was very good.
Staff made an effort to find out about Mum and us as a family. It was mum and
Dad's 65th wedding anniversary while mum was there and the management team arranged an afternoon tea for us where we could sit in a private room as a family and celebrate. This meant the world to us. I would recommend Ashfield House to anyone.

On the whole we are very satisfied re the care of my mother. The staff have cared well for her, recognising when she has been ill and needed medical attention. My mother seems to be happy here. The staff are always friendly and approachable. The only query I would have is there seems to have been an
almost full change of management and staff, with no apparent reason or explanation.

Mum was supposed to be at the home for 1-2 weeks but ended up being there for 7 weeks. Mum is a very talkative person but unfortunately, she was not able to converse with many residents. Being in a home is a big transition for Mum so it was a struggle for her to settle in. The staff were very patient
with her so thank you.
