My mum suffers from dementia and struggled at first to settle in the care home. She has now settled, and her eating has got better. The staff seem to be very caring and hard-working. The manager is always on hand to answer any queries. It was a hard decision for the family to let mum go into a care
home. It has turned out to be the best thing for her, and I thank the staff for their care and support.

My dad has been living at A S Care for just over a year. He has always been treated with dignity and respect, even though he has advanced dementia. He seems happy and settled there. As a family, we feel he is very well cared for, and the staff are always helpful, informative and very welcoming. The
home has a real family feel with both residents and staff, and events are organised for families to meet at summer fetes or Christmas events and encouraged to share experiences. I would fully recommend A S Care to others who need care provided for their loved ones.

My mother in law when into A S Care temporarily in June 2025 and went permanent in December 2026. My mother is safe and happy and 100% cared for. The staff go above and beyond for all residents.
Nothing is any trouble for any staff member.
They make a cracking cup of tea.

Mum has dementia, but in spite of this, she is happy and always clean and well cared for. The staff are always friendly and happy, although my mum can no longer join in with activities, the home do crafts and other activities.

The staff at AS Care are exemplary. My mum suffers from Alzheimer's Dementia and also a tricky recurring medical problem. It's tricky because when it flares up it needs to be attended to promptly but the symptoms aren't particularly unusual for an Alzheimer's sufferer. The AS Care staff have become
experts at knowing when my mum needs to go to hospital to have the problem resolved. I'm always kept up to date with what's happening with my mum and on medical advice given. My input is also always asked for on decisions concerning my mum. The close eye everyone at AS Care keeps on my mum and the genuine care they give her makes living in a different city much easier to manage both physically and emotionally.

My sister is well cared for. The staff work hard and are busy, but always happy to answer questions. They do not hesitate to inform me if my sister's health condition changes. The care and kindness of the staff are excellent.

My mother has been a resident at the home for two years and I have always found the whole team at the home caring, knowledgable and supportive. Whenever I check in with them to ask for updates they can immediately give me information on how mum has been since I last checked, which is very reassuring.
They are also very willing to discuss how we can adjust things to support her.
The home is in an older building but it has always had a warm and friendly feel and the decor has been refreshed and enhanced over the last year. A recent friends and relatives meeting also highlighted other improvement plans and asked for our suggestions.

My mum is a resident at Ashford house care home. The transition for my mum moving in was made very smooth by the staff. They are caring and attentive and always inform us of any incidents or changes in well-being.
The communication is very good with the Manager. Emails are always promptly returned,
queries and questions are always answered.
We are always kept upto date with changes to her care plan and have an involvement.
Since my mum has been in Ashford house they have upgraded the decor by painting, having new flooring and chairs for the lounge which is lovely to see
They now have a social media page, which shows lots of activities including exercises, pampering sessions, family history, birthdays and much more
My mum loves outdoors and it's nice to see she has been out in the community with one-to-one walks.
The social media page has gave us a closer connection. It's great to see what Mum has been up to during the week.
A big thank you to all the staff who all work very hard.

I am filling this form in on behalf of my Mother. In general, I find that she is well-looked after and seems content. Activities seem to be quite wide ranging although Mum does not usually want to take part in them.

Mum was supposed to be at the home for 1-2 weeks but ended up being there for 7 weeks. Mum is a very talkative person but unfortunately, she was not able to converse with many residents. Being in a home is a big transition for Mum so it was a struggle for her to settle in. The staff were very patient
