View Full Details of Acacia CourtLovely, clean and tidy home. very welcoming staff and surroundings. Visiting a friend's Mum.
All staff are positive and proactive. I feel as though the home has a full understanding of mum's care needs.
My mum mum has only been at Acacia Court for 2 weeks, but can see the difference in her already. More like her old self. So far can't praise the staff or the management highly enough. Trust it will continue. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and the staff certainly look like they care about the residents.
My mum is in her happy place; she is so well looked after. I am putting my name down for 15 years from now. The manager and all the carers are fantastic and make me and others so welcome. Thank you.
Today Saturday 31st May was a garden party and what a fabulous event it was. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The organisation that went into setting up this event by management, carers, kitchen staff, maintenance, church, volunteers was amazing. Gazebos, banners, balloons, games for children of family, stalls with plants, burgers, coffee, cakes, strawberries and cream, tombolo, raffles and more. Singers that were amazing. My Mum is living and being cared for here and we took her into the fabulously beautiful huge garden to join in this fabulously special day. It truly was beautiful. Thank you to everyone that made this day so special.
My brother has been staying at Acacia Court for approximately 15 weeks. He's very frail and tends to stay in his room despite the best efforts of the staff! He is very stubborn. Each time we visit, the staff are courteous and friendly. They're so caring with my brother and are happy to help. The food looks great and he eats everything served. Today is VE Day and there is a tea party following a little entertainment. Acacia Court is very good.
Mum has been living at Acacia Court for just over a year now. Over that time, we've experienced some ups and downs with her health, but thanks to the manager and her wonderful team, Mum has settled in really well. The staff are always friendly, approachable and willing to answer any questions we have, offering support whenever we need it. It's so reassuring to be welcomed by a smiling face every time we walk through the door. A huge thank you to the manager and the whole team for the care, kindness and support you continue to show, it truly means the world to us.
What can I say about Acacia Court? It is clean and the staff are amazing. They are all very attentive, and polite and nothing was too much for them. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone or bring anyone of my family into Acacia. Again, I cannot say too much about how grateful we are to all the staff from the office to the floor kitchen, all brilliant.
I think everything was lovely at Christmas, everyone enjoyed themselves. They all received a present and had their Christmas dinner together. How nice it was for the staff to come in and give their Christmas day to look after people, what a lovely atmosphere it was.
My mum got a place at Acacia Court late last year after a traumatic time in a local hospital. So - only been with them a short while but I've seen an amazing change in her health and demeanour upon visiting this week (I don't live locally). Simply put, she looks and sounds much brighter and happier, she's putting on weight (she'd lost so much in hospital!) so is regaining strength and the ability to walk a little again. Her pressure sores from home/hospital are also healing. She seems to be settling in well to her new surroundings. She has a lovely bright room and is being well fed with wholesome food (had a chat with the cook and it has a 5-star food hygiene rating). The staff are lovely, caring, professional, really looking after Mum's needs. The manager has helped settle my mum in and helped assure me over the phone that all was well and I didn't need to worry about her from afar. It really feels like a home from home and I think Mum will be happy here!
My mum is very well looked after by the manager and the team. They make sure they make her feel at home and are patient with her whatever her mood at that time. The team are caring and flexible in catering to Mum's needs.
My mum has been a resident at the home for over three and a half years. Though the care home, like many others in the health and social, has had a consistent turnover of staff, they have actively sought to provide the best of care to my mum. This includes keeping me informed of any issues affecting my mum's health or care needs. Since the lady took over as General Manager there has been considerable investment in the property regarding new furniture and internal decoration. When an issue is raised the response I have received from her has been excellent. My mum continues to be well looked after, especially by several members of staff who have been there since she became a resident. Retention of good staff is key to providing the highest standard and continuity of care. Myself and family appreciate the effort and commitment of the staff to provide a caring and happy atmosphere. Keep up the great work in what are challenging times for the sector.
Acacia Court is a rare find. A lovely caring home. My dad has been a resident for approximately 18 months, having been moved from another "care" home where it was clear his needs were not being met. Dad arrived at Acacia very underweight and I am delighted to see Dad thriving under Acacia's care. The staff are lovely, attentive and kind, I highly recommend this home.
Lovely staff who go above and beyond for everyone in their setting. Management is very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. There is always a very warm loving atmosphere which is lovely to see. Thank you.
I visited my nan at lunchtime. The kitchen staff wheeled a trolley into the dining area with a full English breakfast. All hot with every choice. Nan can't eat pork so she did not have the bacon or sausage but had beans, chips, black pudding, egg, mushrooms and toast. A lovely hot lunch packed with variety.
My auntie has resided at Acacia Court for the last two years. I have always been impressed and reassured about the care she receives and especially how the staff members treat her with great affection, courtesy and dignity. Ideally, no one wishes to see their loved one in need of 24-hour professional care but I could not be happier with the care my auntie has and continues to receive.
I visit my friend at Acacia Court in Southport and the staff are so friendly. They care so much about all the residents. You always get a warm feeling and a friendly atmosphere. The manager is approachable and caring. Such a lovely home. God bless you all.
My mum has been a resident for nearly 5 years and more than happy with her care. It's a friendly home where all the staff throughout work hard to make it a safe and comfortable place for its residents.
I have found the home clean and tidy at all times. The staff are pleasant, clean and friendly, nice and helpful. The lounge is fine, clean and tidy. My wife's bedroom is fine and again clean and tidy. The food is good according to my wife.
My mother-in-law was admitted into Acacia Court and since her arrival, we cannot express how grateful for all the support and care my mother-in-law has received. The home is really well run by the manager and her staff and they cannot do enough for the residents and visitors.
