View Full Details of Simonsfield Care HomeSimonsfield is a wonderful care home. I can't praise the staff enough. They are caring, professional, compassionate and friendly. I know that my dad is receiving excellent care. Dad has a great relationship with the staff and considers them as his friends. There is a full programme of activities every day and great thought goes into organising events. We take comfort knowing my dad is settled and well cared for and that we have made the right decision choosing this care home.
Mum moved into Simonsfield May 2022 and the staff have been amazing. Everyone knew her name from day one and treated her with love and kindness, she has laughed and cried with them and I have had peace of mind that she has been well cared for and safe. They maintained her dignity when she was unable to do anything for herself and loved her until the end. Sadly she passed away in June surrounded by staff who genuinely loved her and I thank god we got her in here. I would recommend Simonsfield to anyone thinking of putting a loved one in care. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they did for mum over the past 3 years.
Overall we as a family are very pleased with the way our mum is cared for by all staff at the carehome.we feel she is safe and very well looked after, all the staff are very approachable and very friendly and keep family updated with any problems ,sickness and medical visits regarding our mum, mum has improved significantly since being a resident at the carehome.
Simonsfield Care Home is a pleasure to visit and see Mum, staff are always happy to help, they are very caring and informative of residents' needs. I have not ever had an unpleasant visit.
My mum was welcomed into the home and is very happy there. All the staff are friendly and available if we have any questions or concerns. We feel comfortable when we visit my mum and when we leave her we feel she is happy, safe and well cared for. My mum praises ever one who cares for her.
My mother-in-law has been in Simonsfield since September 2024, initially as respite due to her needing 24 hour care. This was extended and is now permenant. She is in better health and her demeanour is really good since she arrived at Simonsfield. She is completely deaf and obviously has difficulty communicating with other people but the staff are really good and like us use a whiteboard and marker to write down whatever we want to say. The meals are served in a dedicated dining room and she is encouraged to go in there for her meals which she tells us are very good. Any health issues are picked up on and she is in good health and is happy in her comfortable room.
My Great Great Auntie (GGA) has moved away from Simonsfield's setting a few months into 2024, and the move couldn't have proved more perfect. From 2020, until she left in 2024 my GGA was inside her room 24/7. She ate all 3 meals inside her room, placed into her chair, and left facing a wall with her TV to the side of her. When asked if she ever attended the lounge, my family where informed that apparently my GGA had told the staff she didn't like it - my GGA has lost all forms of communication.. but had an overnight miracle to tell the staff her thoughts and feelings. Fast forward to now, in her new setting. She is much brighter, alert, and visibly happy. She still has no solid form of communication, but is saying words more frequently which match up to the conversation going on around her. Each day she is placed into a posture-supporting chair and into a communal space (lounge, dining room, corridor) and has constant interaction. The move couldn't have made a more positive change!
I would like to thank all staff the manager for the support that they gave my dad in the last 18months going above and beyond and making sure he was comfortable. Showing compassion dignity and respect a family we will always be grateful for taking care of him. We will be forever grateful for what you have done for us as a family. He was so happy here and also he could be difficult but this was dad. Keep up the good work and thank you
My dear Mum was looked after in the Springwood Dementia Unit for nearly 4 years. I cannot speak highly enough of Simonsfield, every member of the lovely staff from the manager, catering, housekeeping, admin and carers was polite, friendly, professional, competent and caring, not just to Mum, but to all of Mum's family and friends. I certainly saw Mum thrive whilst in the care of this wonderful care home, she was loved, supported and treated with respect and dignity and she was happy. Thank you all so much for the care, joy and laughter. Simonsfield is a truly exceptional care home.
My sister has had to move into a care home as she has dementia. She is well looked after by all the staff, she is clean, well fed and happy, what more could we as a family ask for. Thank you so much.
It was difficult to find a residential home for Mum close to where we live, but we were very fortunate to get a place at Simonsfield. Mum settled in very well and was well looked after by the staff. I always found the staff to be helpful and caring and there were lots of activities for Mum to take part in if she wanted to. It was a great help to the family to know she was being well looked after.
Eighteen months experience of family member's residency in Simonsfield. Very helpful friendly staff who show great patience in trying to resolve problems. A caring homely environment. Quick responses to queries and any identified problems. Thank you.
My late mother’s 18-19 month stay at Simonsfield was truly happy, enjoyable and positive. She was treated as an individual and after a few weeks her home of 60 years in Runcorn was not ‘home’ any more, rather her room at the ‘holiday home’ that was Simonsfield, where she received such top-quality care and many visits from family and friends which meant so much. Mum loved the social life at Simonsfield, being involved in baking and bingo, enjoying the singalongs, coffee mornings, Summer Fayres and Christmas parties. Social connectivity was crucial for Mum’s happiness and well-being, her pleasure at sitting in the big lounge room with other residents watching the large TV screen and chatting, laughing and sharing experiences was very apparent. Mum felt a special bonding with the care staff on the Springwood corridor, who she always said were ‘so kind to me’ and ‘so good to an old woman’- so thank you Simonsfield, you really do set the standard for top-class residential and dementia care.
I'd just like to say how fortunate we are to have Simonsfields to care for our mum. From the minute you enter you can see the love, care and dignity that all the staff give to the residents. What a wonderful place this is with such a variety of activities throughout the month be it bingo, crafts, dominos or knitting. Also, have singers or choirs coming in to entertain the residents too which my mum loves. The meals service is first class and can be changed to suit the persons needs. Special mention to the cleaning staff who work to keep the home spotless. Everyone together makes my mum's stay and our visits so pleasing. Thank you all.
What a wonderful friendly place. All staff are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble for them. You can tell they all love their job and residents. So kind and friendly, lots of places for family to sit and talk to their relatives. Clean and bright. Such a warm atmosphere. Residents can make their own choices with meals, making them feel listened to and their views taken into consideration. Family are always made to feel welcome. Thank you for such a kind and compassionate home.
All the staff are very friendly and so caring. Always caring about the people in their care, always making you welcome. My dad loves the staff that work here.
When my mum went into a care home in July in 2023 my mum and our family were devastated. At the time we had no choice of where she went but it did not take long to realise that the home she had been placed in did not meet her needs. After some research, we decided to take a look at Simonsfeild. I was taken aback by what I saw. The place was very clean and all the staff and residents we came in to contact with all seemed really happy and relaxed. The bedroom we were shown was large, light, warm and the atmosphere was really pleasant. A few months on and Mum is at Simonsfeild. The staff are a credit to their profession and treat residents with dignity and respect and work with the family for the best outcomes for Mum. My mum enjoys the food which she can have in her room or in the restaurant and has come on so much since her move to Simonsfeild and is looking better than she has for a long time. I can not express my gratitude enough to the manager and staff for the fantastic job they do.
My mum unfortunately had to go into residential care, but fortunately, there was a place for her at Simonsfield. The excellent, caring staff cannot be praised enough; they are caring and thoughtful and treat residents with total respect. They keep the family up to date with anything they need to know and always welcome you with a smile. From the very first meeting with the excellent manager and the equally excellent lady in the office, nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately, Mum recently passed away, and again, the staff could not have been more helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Initially worried about my Mother's suitability for care home residency. I now know I worried needlessly. Simonsfield staff have been fantastic. Great place, great staff, combined with the aspects of safety and security I doubt my mother could have fitted in better. Many Thank.
Simonsfield care home is maintained to a very high standard, it is a pleasure to visit the home, staff are friendly and helpful and provide good support for the residents to settle in quickly. It's a team effort and everybody pulls together to make this care home a nice place to be for the residents. The staff have a genuine interest in helping and caring for the residents and it shows, everyone pulls together to create a happy environment for all. Well done to every member of the team at Simonsfield.
