Such a lovely home, they do so much for my Mum and other residents to keep them entertained and looked after, the staff are always so friendly when I go and visit Mum - thank you so much to you all, it has made my life so much less stressful, knowing my Mum is cared for by you all.

My mother recently moved into Simonsfield following a brief spell in hospital. This came with the obvious concern and apprehension to all our family about mum's care in her latter years. Having now settled, we genuinely need not of been so worried as the care is simply exceptional! All staff are warm, friendly but most importantly their dedication to care is second to none. All mums needs are being catered for, the home is clean, bright, serving fresh quality food and theirs always something going on. Bingo, Quiz nights, pet visits, local artists, it really is exactly how a care home should look. I can't begin to thank the team at Simonsfield enough, their job is extremely demanding and I do hope they're rewarded for it because without them the care wouldn't be the same. Thanks to all at Simonsfield and please know that despite the tough job you do, you really are appreciated. Many thanks

My father has just spent a few weeks in Simonsfield. The team that looked after him were second to none. The home is incredibly well appointed with great facilities, excellent food, comfortable spacious rooms, cinema, lounges, dining rooms. Great programme of things to do. From the moment he arrived he was made to feel welcome and every single carer had him and the rest of the residents at the centre of what they do. They were incredibly supportive and looked after him really well. Debbie runs a great team and all the careers, nurses and staff could not do enough for us.

This is probably the best care home I have ever encountered. All the staff are so caring, thoughtful and friendly. They are offering a first class service. I have worked in care home myself and this is the finest. Home from home, I can't thank the staff enough, they have made my lovely sister feel so welcomed and loved, given the short time she has been a resident there. "Brilliant" place. xx

The carers and staff here are amongst the nicest people I have met, the care and consideration they give to the residents is bountiful.
After visiting my aunt I leave knowing full well she will be looked after and I need not worry.
I feel blessed that we managed to get my aunt a place here.

Thankyou Team Simonsfield.

Very happy with how smoothly it was to get my mum into Simonsfield. The staff were so professional and helpful. I cannot praise them enough. They have helped my mum so much I would go so far as to say my mum is blossoming and very happy. A big thank you to the staff.

Simonsfield is a wonderful care home. I can't praise the staff enough. They are caring, professional, compassionate and friendly. I know that my dad is receiving excellent care. Dad has a great relationship with the staff and considers them as his friends. There is a full programme of activities every day and great thought goes into organising events. We take comfort knowing my dad is settled and well cared for and that we have made the right decision choosing this care home.

Mum moved into Simonsfield May 2022 and the staff have been amazing. Everyone knew her name from day one and treated her with love and kindness, she has laughed and cried with them and I have had peace of mind that she has been well cared for and safe. They maintained her dignity when she was unable to do anything for herself and loved her until the end. Sadly she passed away in June surrounded by staff who genuinely loved her and I thank god we got her in here. I would recommend Simonsfield to anyone thinking of putting a loved one in care. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they did for mum over the past 3 years.

My mother-in-law has been in Simonsfield since September 2024, initially as respite due to her needing 24 hour care. This was extended and is now permenant. She is in better health and her demeanour is really good since she arrived at Simonsfield. She is completely deaf and obviously has difficulty communicating with other people but the staff are really good and like us use a whiteboard and marker to write down whatever we want to say. The meals are served in a dedicated dining room and she is encouraged to go in there for her meals which she tells us are very good. Any health issues are picked up on and she is in good health and is happy in her comfortable room.

Review from D B (Great Great-Niece of Resident) published on 28 January 2025 Submitted via Website

My Great Great Auntie (GGA) has moved away from Simonsfield's setting a few months into 2024, and the move couldn't have proved more perfect. From 2020, until she left in 2024 my GGA was inside her room 24/7. She ate all 3 meals inside her room, placed into her chair, and left facing a wall with her TV to the side of her. When asked if she ever attended the lounge, my family where informed that apparently my GGA had told the staff she didn't like it - my GGA has lost all forms of communication.. but had an overnight miracle to tell the staff her thoughts and feelings. Fast forward to now, in her new setting. She is much brighter, alert, and visibly happy. She still has no solid form of communication, but is saying words more frequently which match up to the conversation going on around her. Each day she is placed into a posture-supporting chair and into a communal space (lounge, dining room, corridor) and has constant interaction. The move couldn't have made a more positive change!

Reply from Debbie Smith, Manager at Simonsfield Care Home

Thankyou for your feedback we appreciate all feedback to learn from it, the person was moved to nursing care as a Residential setting was not meeting the persons needs, as your GGA needs required more professional input, I am very pleased your GGA is thriving in a more appropriate setting for her care needs.

My dear Mum was looked after in the Springwood Dementia Unit for nearly 4 years. I cannot speak highly enough of Simonsfield, every member of the lovely staff from the manager, catering, housekeeping, admin and carers was polite, friendly, professional, competent and caring, not just to Mum, but to all of Mum's family and friends. I certainly saw Mum thrive whilst in the care of this wonderful care home, she was loved, supported and treated with respect and dignity and she was happy. Thank you all so much for the care, joy and laughter. Simonsfield is a truly exceptional care home.

It was difficult to find a residential home for Mum close to where we live, but we were very fortunate to get a place at Simonsfield. Mum settled in very well and was well looked after by the staff. I always found the staff to be helpful and caring and there were lots of activities for Mum to take part in if she wanted to. It was a great help to the family to know she was being well looked after.
