Simonsfield Care Home specialises in residential and dementia care. The beautiful home is situated near to shops and the town and is within easy reach of public transport.

Care workers offer residents and their families the support they need during what many find some of the most trying times of their lives. Families are truly grateful for the personal support they receive, when faced with one of life's very difficult decisions and the team pride themselves on continuing that support to residents and their families from the moment they contact the home throughout the whole of their stay and beyond.

The approach to care is simple - look after the person and not the ailment/condition alone - care workers want to get to know their residents and their families, thus enabling them to look after the whole person and not just to concentrate on the task in hand. Staff get to know their clients, who they are, who they were and how they have come to be at the home.

Care workers get to know their families too and like to understand the dynamics within the family setting and how best they can support these as they build a relationship of trust. They understand that choosing a care home is not just about excellent amenities, but about a true and real understanding of relationships being nurtured, trust being built and a life being lived. Mum seems happy where she is. She hardly has any health problems.

You have recently been providing my Nan with care whilst she is at Simonsfield (Runcorn) for some respite care. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the care that you have given her. During my visit on Saturday, she told me many of times that all the girls are lovely and very nice to her,
as she has been at another setting for respite and made it known how much she disliked it, it was so nice to see her smiling and talking positively. She was also very excited to tell me about playing Tennis and how she was good at it. It was almost like having my Nan back just for that short moment in time, something I will never forget, so again, thank you for that short but heartwarming moment!


So thank you, not only for looking after my Nan but for providing such incredible care for everyone in your setting, it didn’t go unnoticed to see genuine happy faces.

Extremely happy with the care home, staff really good. Some issues with clothes not being cleaned and sometimes difficult getting access to the home in the evenings.

I have been in a few care homes in the past visiting my husband's elderly relatives and to put it bluntly they were awful!
I can not tell you how relieved I am that my beloved Gran is in your care home - it's lovely. It's homely. It always smells nice and is clean and the amazing staff are patient
and can not do enough for you. Thank you.

My 96-year-old Granddad sadly passed away peacefully on Sat 4th August in this wonderful care home. The staff are truly amazing and looked after my granddad as if they were his family all the time he was there, he could be really stubborn and was very independent which at times made it difficult for
them but none the less the care never altered. I can't thank them enough for the service they provided for him. In the last week of his life the staff were there for whatever he needed and could not do enough for us as a family as we sat by his bedside, they even provided us with as much refreshments as we wanted and nothing was too much trouble. I would like to thank them all from the bottom of my heart for making his time there so much like living at home. Thank you once again to these truly amazing people from all of my Granddad's family

Thank you Simonsfield Care Home Staff for caring for my wife over the 3 week respite care that you provided so well. My wife returned home considerably more mobile than she did on entering the home...wheelchair in and came out walking.
Friendly staff in a homely environment, patients and staff all

Sadly, our relative only spent eight months in this excellent care home before becoming seriously ill and being hospitalised, where she died. However, from our brief experience of Simonsfield in Runcorn, we were so impressed by this exceptional home. The leadership is outstanding and the pride in this
care home is 'worn' by every member of staff. Kindness, efficiency and a lovely environment are what we will always remember.

Lovely caring staff and employees but they do seem to work a lot of hours.
No worries or concerns for the health, safety and well being of my great aunt. Treated with dignity and respect as a person.
All the staff deserve an award for the dedication they give.


The only downside is the cost of

the carehome, which may be the same across the county, I don't know, but I know a lot of elderly and vulnerable could never afford it.

My mother in law had to come into full-time care nearly three years ago. From the first visit we made, we knew we had chosen the right place, it really is her home. Somewhere she is loved and cared for with gentle patience. All her needs have been identified and met with dignified care. It's a happy
place, we've been supported so well by the staff through the good and the bad times, that her illness has taken us all as a family.

Wonderful caring environment, that we feel confident how well mum is looked after. We liked how we, as a family could decorate her room with her furniture, pictures, photos and everything that made it a home from home.
The staff are just brilliant with my mum and as a family, we have no worries with

Upon entering Simonsfield, you're made to feel at home. So much so, that mum is at home here.
The management and staff are excellent, nothing is too much bother. If you have a query or concern your mind is immediately put to rest and the food is just 1st class.
The film/cinema room is fantastic
and for my mum who adores musicals, it's just the best thing since sliced bread!

Grandmother came to live at Simonsfield, April 2016, best thing we ever did as she loves it. Home very clean and staff friendly and will do anything for their residents. Always something going on whether singers or activities. Their summer fayre is always amazing for residents and visitors. Xmas is
special with entertainers and a pantomime on site.

I would recommend Simonsfield to everyone as the staff and manager are excellent, always happy to help, nothing too much trouble for them. A gorgeous place and always give my mum, who is a resident there, the care she needs. Couldn't ask for anything better. The care home is always clean, tidy and smelling
