The standard of care is absolutely fabulous. The staff are all really attentive and very helpful.

The home itself is kept pristine and the food is excellent too. I'm extremley happy we chose Simonsfield for my mother, the family can relax knowing she's safe, secure and being well looked after.

I can not fault the care that the lovely staff at Simonsfield give to my nan for the past 4 years and more. I couldn't ask for a better place for her to live. She is safe and really taken care of and it's like she is a member of their family. A* for all, from reception to manager right down to care assistants.

Mum has really settled into her new home. At first it was so daunting for us to leave Mum's care in the hands of others, but, 12 months on she is very settled and is as happy as I can expect her to be.
When I visit, she always looks like 'my mum'. Her hair is done, she is showered, dressed well and she looks content.
The staff have always been polite, professional and very caring towards Mum and other residents. If I ask staff anything, they answer or will find someone that can. Mum seems to enjoy the activities and I had a lovely surprise one day when I went to visit Mum and was told she is having a day out in Southport. Something I know she will have enjoyed.
I like that there is the same staff group and that changes are few, relationships and trust can be built by both staff and service user, this was something I was particularly worried about but my fears were unfounded.

Dementia is a very difficult and demanding illness and I feel confident my mum is cared for and treated with the respect she deserves.

Before my mother came to Simonsfield Care Home, she was a constant concern to me. Her personal care was non-existent, mum never washed or changed her clothes for weeks on end, even though in her mind, it was a daily occurrence. She lost so much weight because she couldn't cook for herself, it was such a worry. Now she's put on weight, had to buy a complete new wardrobe for her this Christmas. Her personal hygiene is as it should be and she even has her hair done weekly. I'm so relieved and I can't praise Simonsfield management and staff enough.

Mum has been a resident of Somonsfield care for more than 4 years now, during that time she has been extremely well cared for. All staff, whatever their job, are very caring people, the carers look after residents as if they are their family, always treating them with a great deal of dignity and respect, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They will always listen to visitors no matter how busy they are and there is always a cup of tea and a piece of cake. I will never be able to thank the staff enough for the care and attention they give to her. Somonsfield care home is second to none and I strongly recommend Simonsfield care home to anyone who is looking for a care home to look after their loved one.

You have recently been providing my Nan with care whilst she is at Simonsfield (Runcorn) for some respite care. I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the care that you have given her. During my visit on Saturday, she told me many of times that all the girls are lovely and very nice to her, as she has been at another setting for respite and made it known how much she disliked it, it was so nice to see her smiling and talking positively. She was also very excited to tell me about playing Tennis and how she was good at it. It was almost like having my Nan back just for that short moment in time, something I will never forget, so again, thank you for that short but heartwarming moment!

So thank you, not only for looking after my Nan but for providing such incredible care for everyone in your setting, it didn’t go unnoticed to see genuine happy faces.

Once again. Thank you.

Extremely happy with the care home, staff really good. Some issues with clothes not being cleaned and sometimes difficult getting access to the home in the evenings.

After 5pm there is a slight delay in opening the door, as the administrator has gone home and the staff are doing their duties, they do their utmost to get to the door as soon as they can, unfortunately we have to have the door secured, some of our residents are independent and will put their...

I have been in a few care homes in the past visiting my husband's elderly relatives and to put it bluntly they were awful!

I can not tell you how relieved I am that my beloved Gran is in your care home - it's lovely. It's homely. It always smells nice and is clean and the amazing staff are patient and can not do enough for you. Thank you.

My 96-year-old Granddad sadly passed away peacefully on Sat 4th August in this wonderful care home. The staff are truly amazing and looked after my granddad as if they were his family all the time he was there, he could be really stubborn and was very independent which at times made it difficult for them but none the less the care never altered. I can't thank them enough for the service they provided for him. In the last week of his life the staff were there for whatever he needed and could not do enough for us as a family as we sat by his bedside, they even provided us with as much refreshments as we wanted and nothing was too much trouble. I would like to thank them all from the bottom of my heart for making his time there so much like living at home. Thank you once again to these truly amazing people from all of my Granddad's family

Thank you Simonsfield Care Home Staff for caring for my wife over the 3 week respite care that you provided so well. My wife returned home considerably more mobile than she did on entering the home...wheelchair in and came out walking.

Friendly staff in a homely environment, patients and staff all on friendly first name terms providing a good service. My appreciation.

Sadly, our relative only spent eight months in this excellent care home before becoming seriously ill and being hospitalised, where she died. However, from our brief experience of Simonsfield in Runcorn, we were so impressed by this exceptional home. The leadership is outstanding and the pride in this care home is 'worn' by every member of staff. Kindness, efficiency and a lovely environment are what we will always remember.

Lovely caring staff and employees but they do seem to work a lot of hours.
No worries or concerns for the health, safety and well being of my great aunt. Treated with dignity and respect as a person.

All the staff deserve an award for the dedication they give.

The only downside is the cost of the carehome, which may be the same across the county, I don't know, but I know a lot of elderly and vulnerable could never afford it.

My mother in law had to come into full-time care nearly three years ago. From the first visit we made, we knew we had chosen the right place, it really is her home. Somewhere she is loved and cared for with gentle patience. All her needs have been identified and met with dignified care. It's a happy place, we've been supported so well by the staff through the good and the bad times, that her illness has taken us all as a family.

We would give our heartfelt recommendation.

Wonderful caring environment, that we feel confident how well mum is looked after. We liked how we, as a family could decorate her room with her furniture, pictures, photos and everything that made it a home from home.

The staff are just brilliant with my mum and as a family, we have no worries with my mum living at Simonsfield.

Upon entering Simonsfield, you're made to feel at home. So much so, that mum is at home here.
The management and staff are excellent, nothing is too much bother. If you have a query or concern your mind is immediately put to rest and the food is just 1st class.

The film/cinema room is fantastic and for my mum who adores musicals, it's just the best thing since sliced bread!
