My mother went into care at Wispington House over two and a half years ago suffering from dementia gradually getting worse over the past few months until she passed away last month. Through her entire stay at Wispington House she was treated with the utmost compassion and respect, she maintained her
dignity until the end. I cannot thank the staff and management at the care home enough for the way they looked after my mum, they treated her as family, looked after her and made mine and my families life a lot easier.
A big thank you to you all.

Just wish we had got my Mum to Wispington House earlier! Mum had had a couple of operations including a replacement pacemaker and then surgery on badly broken ankle which meant that she was no longer safe to live independently. She had a long stay in respite care to recover which did her moral and
mental health no good at all. If only we had known about the level of care Wispington House offered we would have moved her there sooner. They were absolutely wonderful with her and with us too. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum really rallied for a short while but sadly her stay was not a long one. Palliative care was only a couple of days and nights. We were there all hours and they held not only Mum's hand but all of ours too during this very sad time. A big thank you to everyone at Wispington House - you gave my Mum the best care we could have hoped for.

Mum has been suffering from dementia for ten years and had a poor quality of life with no stimulation,
This all changed when she moved into Wispington House in March this year, she quickly settled into the loving and caring environment the home provides.
She has made new friends and renewed old
friendships among the other residents. She participates in activities and is always smiling. She recently participated in a baking activity, she was an avid Baker but had forgotten how to do it and it was great to see the photos of her enjoying doing it again .
Her quality of life has improved greatly.
The new owners have embarked on a refurbishment program and mum's room has already been done to a high standard p.
We can't praise the Owners, Management and Staff highly enough.

My mother has been a resident for three weeks. Her mixed dementia, recently diagnosed, deteriorated following illness and we collectively agreed that she now needed a much safer place to live, as my elderly father was increasingly frail and in poor health. We were no longer able to cope at home.
From the outset, every single member of staff has been kind, gentle and so caring towards all of us. Mum is taking a while to settle, but the care staff with their unwavering support have made this difficult time much easier to bear. We feel genuinely blessed to have found such a wonderful group of staff, and I am thankful every day.

I cannot thank the management and staff of Wispington House enough for all the help and advice throughout the difficult period of getting Mum a permanent place there.
Mum is treated with the utmost respect and is supported both physically and mentally by the excellent team. I never have to worry
that she isn't eating as there are always hearty meals, and not forgetting the tea and biscuits on tap!
We are all made to feel like one big family.

Kind and caring staff who have looked after my mum for the last 7 years. During covid, they went above and beyond to keep residents safe. Unfortunately, my mum is unable to join in activities now due to a decline in her condition. But they have a wide range of entertainment for residents to enjoy.
The home is clean and tidy all mum's clothes are laundered on-site. The home has become tired in decor in places especially some of the bedrooms. But a warm welcome always awaits relatives and friends.

My elderly auntie was admitted to Wispington House just before the lockdown three years ago. The home is a little tired in places, but always kept extremely clean. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming when I visit. My aunt always speaks very highly about the food and seems content there.
The family receive a monthly newsletter which keeps you updated with the activities planned.
Very homely, home from home.

We are very grateful to the managers and staff at Wispington House for their care and consideration. Despite the restrictions and the stresses of recent months the Staff have always been welcoming and worked with good humour and empathy for residents and relatives. They have kept a careful watch
over dad and anticipated his needs. It is a joy to see his face light up when he sees the carers. Dad has been given excellent care and we have been kept up to date with his progress. It was a difficult decision to move Dad into care but he has thrived at Wispington House because of the care and the commitment of the staff and we are certain he is in the best place possible.

My mother went here from hospital. She had no medical issues. Once here she was content but at 91 had decided to 'switch off'. She was bedridden. The staff were amazing, attending to my mother frequently. I visited daily, with my child, sister and dog. We were also cared for, during my mother's last
days, with food and drinks. When mother did 'go to sleep', even the staff came to pay their respects.
The rooms may need a lick of paint, but the staff make this care home excellent!
