My mother who has mixed dementia has lived at GreenGables for the past 2 years.
I have always found the staff friendly and welcoming.
I have never had any concerns regarding her care and although she has become much worse over the last 2 years I know she is still cared for with dignity and
respect.
It's a small home but I find it cosy and more like a family home with regular friendly faces.
If you want somewhere small and friendly for your loved one I highly recommend .

My mother-in-law has just passed away at Green Gables and I cannot express enough all the care and support she received during her time at Green Gables, especially during her last few days of life where she was made comfortable and at ease. Unfortunately, only my husband and myself were able to
visit towards the end but we understood and respected the reasons why. It is such a lovely care home and they are wonderful staff. It's like one big happy family.

1.10.2019 at 1.30 pm my mum was rushed to hospital by ambulance, 3 pm hospital staff informed Green Gables she had hours to live. 4-5 pm Green Gables manager confirmed to the senior hospital registrar they would not allow my mum back as they didn’t have the facilities to accommodate her the oxygen
(a small box) she would need. The senior hospital registrar informed them she would probably last a few hours. The gold line staff were already in place and could have attended at no inconvenience to Green Gables, they still refused. 6 pm the hospital secured an emergency place at Marie Curie where the policy was strictly one visitor. My mum died in a hospice with one family member, her other 3 children had to watch her die on face time, her funeral hearse could not leave from her last home Green Gables and now, over 20 weeks later we have had no contact from Green Gables. The manager's daughter sent me a message to express her condolences on Facebook and then Green Gables unfriended us.
