Mum went into care after a stay in hospital a year ago. It's not something she would have wanted, but from arriving the staff have been amazing with her. On the whole the home is kept very clean and the food is plentiful. When we visit we are always offered a drink & biscuits and encouraged to
participate in any activities/entertainment that's going on. What I do find very helpful is the fact we are always updated about everything ongoing with mum & illness if it occurs in the home. Very impressed with the whole package from the carers, entertainment and management.

My mum has lived in Grimston Court for almost a year now. At first she was not happy due to the circumstances of her going there. She is now settled and as a family we could not be happier. The staff are extremely caring and professional we know she is very well looked after. If we have questions
there is always someone on hand to go to or if we need information via email we get a prompt reply. The home is always kept clean and even though the residents are in varied degrees if health and physical ability there are never any smells that are associated with lack of care.
Mums health has deteriorated in the time she has been there but the staff have adapted to accommodate all her needs.
I find the fact that activities and outings are put on the social media page very helpful, so if I'm not able to visit I can still see up to date information.
All in all everything is very good.

There have been many changes at Grimston Court since my mother arrived 19 months ago, so our experience has been somewhat varied, on the positive side, the care home is set in beautiful grounds, and rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Communal rooms have a homely feel to them. However,
shortly after my mother arrived, there was a significant change in senior management which led to challenges in the smooth running of the home from a health and safety perspective, as well as staffing issues. There was no activities coordinator for much of the time. However, the current activities coordinator is very good at organising activities. I feel some staff could be more friendly and engaging to my mum as well as family. Also, more effort could be made to get residents outside for fresh air.

Lovely, briliant caring staff at Grimston Court. Sometimes lack of staff to attend to residents needs in the main room. Great to have someone in charge of organising activities and entertainment & who is so good and caring, greatly appreciated by all. Hopefully staff levels can be maintained. Big

Grimston Court has become a ray of light in our lives following a very difficult period of caring for Mum. The wonderfully caring staff immediately made Mum's transition into residential care seamless and familiar. They manage Mum's dementia with dignity and kindness. I really don't know where we
would be without them. We are welcomed with open arms when we visit and feel very much part of the extended family that is Grimston Court. The activities list is always packed with a variety of things for residents to enjoy. Thank you Grimston Court for all you do.

I am very pleased with the care my wife is receiving. The home itself is well maintained freshly decorated and the grounds are amazing. The management and staff all operate at a high standard and are all kind and considerate.

I am generally satisfied with care, just one issue. She has a bedside cabinet near her bed and when she gets up she leans on it for support, it is on castors and moves resulting in a fall. I would recommend castors to have locks on the wheels.

Mum and the whole family were welcomed into the warm safe arms of Grimston Court. Staff are curious to know our loved ones and take every opportunity to form strong connections and get right to the heart of people, understanding what is important to them. Care is outstanding given by highly
experienced and dedicated staff, it's delivered in a kind, calm and confident way. Staff are vigilant, have pride in their work and always work as a team. Mum was so respected and loved by all the staff and always enjoyed some friendly banter. When I asked Mum if she felt cared for and looked after she told me "Oh yes". She would wink at staff when they brought her favourite biscuits or fruits and tea just as she liked it. Food always looks and smells great, there is lots of variety. Mum's room and belongings were cared for immaculately, the home too. Entertainment is excellent and always fun. Leadership and communication are truly outstanding. What a stellar team of superhumans. Thank you.

My mum became a resident at Grimston in September 2023 and I have nothing but praise for the team. Residents are shown dignity and care to a high level and there is an extensive programme of activities to keep everyone entertained. My Mum despite her challenges says 'she's happy' and that's all that
matters to her family.

Staff and management at Grimston Court are excellent and extremely respectful when supporting my mother. The home its facilities and its grounds are all very good and well kept. The food is well prepared and presented. Mother's room is nicely decorated and feels cosy. Overall, couldn't wish for a
better place for her. Many thanks to the manager and all the staff for making this difficult time in Mother's life easier than it would've been without their help.

I am always able to call in to see my dad without letting Grimston Court know. I can see other residents around the home. There is never a bad feeling or atmosphere, the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I never feel like anything is being hidden from me.

My mum has been at Grimston Court for five years. During this time, she has always received excellent care and support from the very caring staff.

My sister is looked after very well, considering the condition she is in. For the last two years, she has spent most of her time in bed. The condition of her legs is monitored well by the staff, and the practice nurses visit every other day to change her bandages. And any deviation in her condition
is always given to me.

The demeanour of all the staff we have encountered has been friendly, professional and humane. The vigilance for the well-being of my friend has been very comforting and I have been kept well informed. He has been able to get back to a sense of himself because of the care he has received and is able
to consider next steps, in a way we wouldn't have imagined when he arrived here.

My dad seems very happy and settled here at Grimston Court. The staff have a great rapport with him. He'd like more variety in the activities if possible. As visitors, we are always made to feel welcome. Thank you.

Excellent respite care for twelve days for my 92-year-old mum. Wonderfully cared for, Mum enjoyed the luxury of a bath which she cannot have at home. Hairdresser did her hair. She loves the food, the staff are so attentive and she could not be in better hands.

I have always been very nervous and full of dread about Mum going into a home. Having only visited a couple many years ago to visit certain relations, they did not make a good impression. But, wow! Grimston Court have certainly changed all that. What an absolutely fabulous place. My mum is so happy
and full of life since being there and I know how much she loves it. I have a real piece of mind knowing Mum is at Grimston and don't have to worry one bit! Thank you team Grimston.
