Everyone is so nice kind and gentle and very attentive interacting with the residents
I am very surprised and not happy that the staff don't get any free meals which I think they deserve it very much without their dedication there won't be anyone looking after the residents at least once or
twice a week as an incentive to get other staff interested in joining and working there

My 95 year old father went into full time care at Ledbury in May 2025 after 3 months of assessment. During that time he has thrived and is really enjoying time in his new home. There are times, as expected, when he has a bad day but overall he is happy, contented and full of praise for the staff.
More recently he has thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment where he fully participates in events. My family are absolutely delighted with the progress he is making and are eternally grateful to those that provide the care and look after him every day.

I cannot recommend Ledbury Nursing Home highly enough. My father received the highest quality care from all the staff without exception, and my mother was shown such wonderful respect and compassion whenever she visited, which was daily throughout the 4 months. His room, the facilities and the
communal areas were excellent, always clean and well supplied. The staff were always so approachable and friendly and always reacted timely and efficiently whenever we needed anything.
Initially the layout of the room was a little awkward, with the TV positioned behind him, but this was later resolved and is only a very minor remark. Unfortunately, due to his condition, my father was unable to join in any of the activities, but when we visited we were always made to feel welcome and invited to join if we wanted to, all serving to make us feel very much a part of loving community within the home.

Ledbury Nursing Home is well managed indeed. We found the staff extremely friendly and attentive to my mother-in-law's needs. The staff are very welcoming too and offered us a cup of tea after our long journey. Very nice environment and location.

Ledbury Nursing Home looked after my husband in the final months of his life when he was too poorly to stay at home.
The whole team cared for him with kindness, respect and humour throughout his stay there. His medical issues were managed promptly and expertly by the knowledgeable nurses. The
carers were always professional, full of joy and happy to join in his jokes. He told me that since being there he felt he was surrounded by friends.
I knew I was leaving him in good hands when I went home, and if there were any concerns I would be contacted quickly. The nursing home did everything they could to make him feel at home there, even tiny requests were respected and acted on.
The small team mean good relationships are developed and the staff get to know you and your loved ones likes and dislikes, making them feel more relaxed and at ease.
I will be forever grateful for the care he received, knowing he was in good hands, among friends, meant so much.

The staff at Ledbury Nursing Home could not be kinder or more caring. They are all friendly and helpful and made my mother feel safe and supported. They gave time to chat and answer our questions. We will always be grateful for the care they took of her over the past three years.

My mother was admitted in late February after having been in two different hospitals.
Ledbury Nursing Home did all they promised to maintain her pain levels and keep her as comfortable as possible with respect and kindness. The staff are caring and polite to both mum and any visitors or family.
They ticked all the boxes and Mum endeared herself to them.

My dad loved his week in Ledbury Care Home. He and my mum were moving into assisted living and the week of respite meant he was well looked after, safe and not stressed. His room was lovely, my mum had nothing but praise for the care he received and spoke positively about the meals and the staff.

My step-dad spent two weeks in Ledbury Nursing Home (respite following a short stay in hospital).
From the first telephone conversation to the farewells on his last day we were both treated with kindness and understanding and warmth.
Staff always made themselves available and answered any queries
or requests straight away. Thank you so much.

My family are very happy with all aspects of Ledbury Care Home. The staff from management to support staff are respectful to residents and relatives at all times, in what must be a difficult situation at times as residents have lost their independence.

The level of care is excellent with caring and considerate staff. Mum is kept clean and well dressed each day and any requests from her family are dealt with in an efficient and caring way.

I find the staff welcoming and very helpful. There is a regular entertainment which the residents enjoy. My father loves the music and likes to have a dance. As a family we feel his needs are met and he is no longer alone.

All staff are to be applauded for their excellent work, they provided all round care with humour, kindness, compassion, dignity & attention to detail. Our uncle could not have had better end of life care & we are grateful for all they did for him at such a difficult & important time. Please pass on
our gratitude & thanks to them all - the cleaners, cooks, carers, nurses, maintenance and administrator and activities leader. A fantastic team.

Mum and Nanny too is very happy and comfortable, she loves it all, especially the staff. They are all so kind, and caring and treat her like the person she is. Not a patient.

Overall the home gives my mother a good service. However, there have been some issues that have lowered my marks. Lift faulty and not repaired within a reasonable time. Not enough staff, meaning they are rushed off their feet. No communication when there are issues that affect the residents i.e. No
kitchen staff more than once. My mum really likes living here and gets on well with all the staff, just a few minor things to sort out to make it 100%.

Ledbury Nursing Home and in particular the manager were excellent in arranging next day respite care for my father who we could no longer care for at home due to his end-of-life needs. As soon as I rang to make the enquiry he swiftly responded to my request, ringing me back to confirm a room would
be available the next day and making all the necessary arrangements. The staff at the home and in particular the head nurse were very helpful, kind and caring the next day when my father was transferred to the room. I believe my father would have received excellent care in the home if there had been a chance for the staff to provide it. I could not fault the manager and the staff we came into contact with and want to thank them for making it as smooth as possible during a very difficult time. The finance team at Shaw Healthcare have also been very helpful during this period.

My father was taken into the home 4 weeks ago and has settled very well and quickly. The manager has been very approachable to discuss things and ask questions where we felt a little in the dark about the situation. He always gives me the time and support I need at what has been a very emotional
time.
The staff are all lovely and asked what sorts of things my father likes and any interests etc. So that they could interact with him as a companion not just a nurse or carer.
The home has always been clean and the meal menu varied.

My mother was in the Ledbury Nursing Home for a month from 22nd December following discharge from the hospital after fracturing a vertebra.
The home is small and personal, with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The staff are wonderful, and my mother had nothing but praise (every day) for their care,
kindness and professionalism. The food is very good - home cooking, well presented and served with great consideration.
Ledbury is very lucky to have such a special place.

My 96-year old mother was a resident at Ledbury Nursing Home from September 2021 until late February 2022. She had always dreaded losing her independence, but the kindness of the manager and staff at the nursing home enabled her to accept this huge change in her life, and she settled in quickly. Mum
had nothing but praise for the wonderful nursing staff who did all they could to keep her comfortable as her health deteriorated further. My sister and I were touched by how caring and compassionate all the staff were, not only to Mum but also to us. We were able to be with Mum every day during her final week, and her passing was dignified, calm and pain-free. We will always be grateful to the manager and all the staff at Ledbury Nursing Home for their kindness and support.
