View Full Details of Prestwood Coach HouseI was very pleased with all aspects of care and attention provided. Everyone was very welcoming and attentive and a joy to visit. Hopefully this will continue for many years to come. I would highly recommend the Coach House and was pleased with the speedy process of arranging care.
My Aunt joined the prestwood family in October 2021 and was a resident for almost 4 years. She lived the happiest life I'd seen her live for a very long time in those 4 years. The care she was given was exemplary on hand 24 hrs a day to attend to her needs should she need. The staff and from management down are wonderful couldn't ask for better. There's a daily entertainment programme from bingo to crafting it's brilliant never a dull day . I would 100% recommend prestwood coach house.
My husband has just spent 2 weeks respite care in a very pleasant room with lovely views the caring staff were excellent bright and cheerful and he was looked after very well. He mainly stayed in his own room which was his own choice because of his condition but the staff tried very hard to encourage him to go into lounge full marks for trying. Food generally good served with a cheery smile personal care was good and very patient with him at night which was his difficult time. Many members of my family have stayed at Prestwood over the years always been a good experience
We were so lucky as a family that Prestwood Coachhouse could take our Mom - they literally saved her and us! Following a stay in hospital, then a step down discharge to a 'sadly' not so great care home, we moved Mom very quickly to Prestwood. From the very first point of contact to the sad passing of our Mom our family simply cannot praise all of the staff enough. Whilst it was a short stay and Mom was unable to take advantage of all the lovely things that went on she was so well looked after and we as a family were made to feel welcome as we did spend every day with her. For the last few weeks of Mom's life she was happy and comfortable. We cannot thank them enough for everything.
My godmother had visited friends at Prestwood House for many years before becoming poorly and was always impressed with the level of care and interaction given by all the staff she met. After a short illness she was happy to know she would go to Prestwood for a couple of weeks respite and within a couple of days had asked if she could stay permanently which she did for a few weeks until passing. My job has taken me into a number of care homes over the years and I can honestly say this is one of the best I have ever been to and would highly recommend.
My mother moved into the Coachhouse in September 2024 following a stay in hospital. Sadly she passed away in May 2025. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay at the Coachhouse. The standard of care throughout was first class: each day she looked forward to the varied and tasty menu. She was encouraged to participate in the wide range of daily events and activities on offer including visits out to local garden centres. We were always made very welcome as visitors. As a family we were very grateful to all at the Coachhouse for making her final days as comfortable as possible and shortly after her death planing a shrub in her memory aided by her 6 year old great granddaughter. We would not hesitate in wholeheartedly recommending the Coachhouse.
I had 1 week respite at Prestwood Coach House. Prior to the respite, the staff carried out a full assessment to check out what help I would need. They also checked out any preferences that I had and answered any queries. I had excellent care throughout my stay. The staff were very thoughtful and approachable. I always felt comfortable with staff helping me with personal care. Food was very good and there was always a sufficient amount and a good choice. Visitors were also made very welcome. I had a very comfortable bedroom, with sufficient space to move around in my powered wheelchair. It was easy to speak to a senior staff member if needed.
My mother-in-law became ill and immobile during covid. We moved her from a home in the West Mids to Prestwood Coach House because we liked the feel of the home and the level of care and calmness that the home seemed to offer compared to her previous residence. She spent the final years of her life there and although she would always have preferred to be in her own home, this was a place that was fitting for her personality and health requirements. She ate like a queen, she always praised the food and the care that she received. There were plenty of activities for her but she was a more private person and preferred her room which was always comfortable and warm. When we couldn't visit her, the staff were happy to video call and she was jollied along as much as possible so she never felt lonely. We are very grateful to all the staff at Prestwood for making our mum's final years safe and comfortable.
Our Mom was a resident at Prestwood Coach House for 14 months, during her stay she had excellent care from experienced and diligent carers. As her condition declined, the home responded to her changing needs, it was a great comfort to us that Mom was being well cared for throughout this period. In terms of care packages, we don't think you will get much better than Prestwood Coach House, it was first class in all departments.
My mother was only at Prestwood Coach House Care home for 6 days. She had been discharged from hospital and could not go home. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The home is in a lovely country setting. Mom loved looking out the windows to see the birds and trees changing colour. There is an open house policy which meant I could turn up at any time night or day. All Staff were super friendly and very helpful. The home is well-equipped and very clean. Mom had difficulty eating and the chef made a special effort to cook food which she could manage. Nothing was too much trouble. Mom loved her stay and was very settled. Sadly her health took a turn for the worse and she was readmitted to hospital. (No fault of the home).
At 97 how do you visit friends and family back in the UK over Christmas when your needs include wheelchair access, 24-hour on-call care, and some home-from-home comforts? My mother was up for the journey if the right accommodation could be arranged so I turned to Prestwood Care to see what they could do. The result was a really comfortable, safe and supportive package of room, care staff and service extras that made Mother's visit a real pleasure for her, for myself and my sister and for the old friends and ex-neighbours that Mum was able to invite to visit her during her stay at Prestwood Coach House. The manager and director's team delivered everything we needed and went the extra mile to facilitate those special touches. A big, big thank you. Note: Mother has provided the following ratings herself and has downgraded facilities only because the door to her room was a little awkward and heavy for her solo use in her wheelchair.
My Uncle went to The Coach House for step down following a long hospital stay. From day one he was treated with dignity, respect and love from all the team. It is an 'open house' at the Coach House, every time I visited I was welcomed with a smile, be it the maintenance man, a carer or the manager. My Uncle was more than happy with the care he received, despite him at times being in pain and shouting, he was always treated kindly. The food always looked very appetising, all areas spotlessly clean and communication always spot on. He was only with you for 2 weeks but a heartfelt thank you to you all.
My mother was a resident of both Prestwood House, and then Prestwood Coach House, for the last 6 years of her life. The care she received was excellent. The carers were kind, patient and treated her with dignity throughout her time living there. They gently encouraged her to join in activities and took an interest in her own hobbies and pastimes. During her last couple of months, they were particularly compassionate and considerate, both to Mom and myself and other family. Her end of life (aged 88) was made as comfortable and peaceful, as it could be, and for that, I am forever indebted. The facilities, food and management of the home were also all very good. Although if her health had permitted, Mom would not have chosen to live her last years in a Nursing Home, she was extremely comfortable, well cared for, and safe. She was extremely fond of the staff, as was I. The Coach House felt like a 'home', rather than a Nursing Care Home and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
My husband recently spent 9 days respite at the Coach House while I was on holiday. On return from my holiday, I was pleasantly surprised to find my husband happy, smiling and looking very relaxed. On questioning, he said that he had enjoyed being at The Coach House. He said that the staff were very good and the food was excellent. I asked jokingly if this meant that I could go away again soon to which he said I could and he would be happy to return to the Coach House. I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they have done to make my husband feel so welcome and comfortable. When using other nursing homes previously my husband has never really been keen to return but accepts that I need a break from time to time to recharge my batteries. Seeing him so happy and relaxed on my return has given me great peace of mind which I am grateful for and we will definitely be using this nursing home again.
My aunt moved to The Coach House in 2012 and passed away in April 2019 aged 96. During her time there, she was extremely well cared for in a very comfortable room with ensuite and a small kitchen for her to prepare snacks. The staff were always respectful and kind, accommodating her often very exacting and individual wishes. In her later years when she was not independently mobile, they were happy to go above and beyond the basic care to keep her comfortable and happy. The nursing care was excellent and her wishes were always respected. The home was well run and the staff were always happy to answer questions. In my aunt's final month, they showed great compassion and concern for her well being and kept in touch with me when I needed to be contacted. As I live over 100 miles away, it was always a great comfort to know she was in safe hands and was extremely well cared for. A very good experience both for her and for me.
Prestwood Coach House staff are outstanding in the care and compassion they show to my mum who has been a resident for some years. She can have difficult days but they respond to her needs with kindness and support her to maintain her dignity at all times. They are genuinely fond of her and I couldn't ask for better care. Activities are provided that enable her to join in and her limited response is always welcomed.
My mother has been at Prestwood Coach House since January 2019. She went in for respite but liked it so much she wanted to stay. She had been living independently, without carers except for me but could no longer cope. The difference living at Prestwood Coach House has been huge - for her and for me. She is happier than she has been for a long time. She loves being with all the other residents in the common room, she enjoys the food and, in particular, she thinks the staff are wonderful: caring, thoughtful, communicative - and they make her laugh! They are sensitive to individuals and act appropriately with the more outgoing as well as the more reserved residents. From my own point of view, staff and management are always willing to let me know what's been happening, so I am totally up to date with anything to do with my mother. It has given me peace of mind, as I know she is safe and very well looked after at Prestwood. Highly recommended.
Wonderfully run home by excellent, professional staff who go that extra mile. Very clean and welcoming when you enter the home. I would highly recommend this home as the staff are extremely helpful, polite and take their role in their duties in a very professional and caring manner and are very friendly and considerate to the residents and their families, so warm and compassionate and always there when needed, nothing is to much trouble. There is always a member of the team available when a resident or a family member needs assistance with a smile on their face eager to assist. A very high standard of care is always given, the atmosphere in the home is always happy and cheerful. The staff are always interacting with the residents as you can see how happy and content the residents are at any time of the day. The diary on the corridor wall shows plenty of activities going on throughout the month and so many photographs are taken you can see how happy our loved ones are enjoying themselves.
This is a top class nursing and care home and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. My elderly mother was there for just under 3 weeks for end of life care. The staff treated her with the utmost dignity and were very kind to both her, next of kin and any visitors. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Unfortunately she had very little appetite but the food provided always looked good. They also run activities to stimulate the residents. The rooms and communal areas are very pleasant as are the surroundings. The room was kept very clean and there was NO smell of urine which we experienced at other nursing homes. The private toilet was a definite plus. In my opinion this is a very well run facility with many long term members of staff.
