View Full Details of Barchester Oulton Park Care HomeIf you need somewhere for your loved one to be cared for then please think of Oulton Park. My mother-in-law moved here, she had dementia and needed nursing care. From the very beginning all staff/nursing care were fabulous, friendly, caring, attentive, and very respectful. Mum was extremely happy. Mums room was lovely . The food was amazing. I cannot say enough about all the staff/ nursing team with how much mum was cared for. I would highly recommend Oulton Park for your loved ones.
My husband was cared for, for 5 weeks before he passed away on 19th June. All the staff were kind, patient professional and caring, which gave me and my family peace of mind. Having a view from his bedroom was lovely, and he sat outside sometimes. Special thanks to the manager who helped me with the admin for funding. Congratulations on your excellent service.
This is an excellent facility. Very welcoming and a great atmosphere. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the food is great. All the staff are very professional and knowledgeable and are always willing to help or answer any questions you may have and I felt they all went above and beyond. The care, attention, kindness and respect my mum was given and shown during her stay was outstanding and I cannot thank everyone enough. I would highly recommend Oulton Park.
My dad was here for a month and was excellently looked after ..all the care staff were very kind friendly and helpful..the home was always very clean ..highly recommend the home to anyone ..the food was always very nice and the self service cafe for quests was brilliant
My mum spent her last 5 months here receiving excellent 24/7 care. I couldn't have wished for her to be in a better place with wonderful staff. Everybody was so very caring, considerate, thoughtful and respectful, nothing was ever too much trouble. From the start, admin made us feel like part of the family. With a nurse on duty 24/7 I felt comfortable my mum was cared for day and night. The dedicated carers are second to none, they are simply lovely human beings. Everywhere is clean & tidy. Daily entertainment and a weekly what's on programme circulated each week. A good choice of tasty meals freshly prepared served by friendly and helpful staff. The atrium is a lovely room to enjoy a drink & cake when visiting. A good size room fully furnished with en-suite. Ample car parking and gardens with colourful flowers in bloom. I felt reassured that mum was well looked after and I enjoyed quality time with her when visiting. Overall, high quality caring at its best, its like a 5 star hotel.
Visited my friend for the first time recently at this fantastic Care Home - Upon entry I was greeted with warm, friendly smiles from the professional Receptionist who knowledgably answered my questions and took time to explain further information to me whilst showing me to my friends room - This home is clean and fresh and it's easy to see how comfortable the residents are here - other staff we met along the corridor all knew my friends details and requirements, despite him only staying here for a short period of time thus far - Nothing was too much trouble - my friend looked healthier and much more happier here, as opposed to when I last saw him at the hospital - I am pleased that he is now residing under the supervision of caring, attentive staff who are clearly well managed and clearly work together as a team - Great service deserves appreciation so....."well done" - "Thank you" and see you again soon x
Oulton Park is such a lovely care home, it's clean and well-kept, always smelling fresh as soon as you walk in. Staff are very friendly and meet you with smiles, ask after you and make sure you're okay. The food is fresh and is presented beautifully. All in all, I can't complain. The friend I came in to visit is also happy with the care she is receiving.
My mum has really changed since she has lived at Barchester Oulton Park Care Home. Her life has been enriched by constant, caring company, helpful routines and wonderful activities. She is always smiley and eager to speak to staff as well as other clients. She is eager to thank them and appreciates all the staff do for her. As her daughter, I feel nothing but relief and gratitude.
A lovely place with excellent staff and care. My father spent his last days here and I couldn't have found a better place for him. The food was very good although he couldn't eat very much they tried to find things he liked. Very clean and excellent facilities for visitors as well.
Our experience has been positive. My aunt is receiving the level of care we had hoped for. All of the staff have been very kind and friendly, even when my aunt is being tricky. I feel confident that my aunt gets the best care and I feel sure that I have found the best care for her.
My brother returned to the home after a spell in hospital, they made him so welcome. It was also his birthday, they are all so caring. I can't thank them enough, his room was changed so he could use a wheelchair, brilliant team.
Clean tidy and mostly friendly understanding staff, except one who for the 6th time has refused to let me speak to my mum due to it being 5.30pm! The downsides are, she is left alone in her room for the majority of the day and isn't allowed to socialise with other residents all day, unlike her previous care home. The two people who run activities are brilliant, can't fault them, but if you want to be refused access to a telephone call with a loved one then this is the place to stay. I'm seriously considering asking social services to move mum to somewhere that can be accommodating and empathetic to the family as well as supporting my mum. Her dementia is at a stage where she forgets quickly and hearing from myself or her grandchildren cheers her up, regardless of the time.
Thank you for the care and attention given to my parents during their stay with you.
Experience in the past for a resident friend and today viewing for a friend for respite care in September, this is second to none in comfort, facilities, and the most caring of staff it is like a luxury hotel all on one floor.
Professionalism, friendly and helpful staff. I am my family wanted the best level of care for our mother and Barchester Oulton Park Care Home has been a very good choice. Only a resident for a couple of months but we can already see the physical and mental benefit to our mother. A great part of this is the high level of attentiveness from the staff.
We moved our mother into Barchester Oulton Park last year, and we cannot praise the staff enough, from auxiliary to management. They work together as a team and seem happy in their jobs as carers. The staff have many good qualities like kindness, attentiveness and empathy, and are always very respectful to both residents and their families. The home and its surroundings are inviting and very homely, it hasn't got such a 'clinical' feel to it as they have good carpets and home furnishings, complete with a cafe area with free tea, coffee and cakes, etc. I would highly recommend this care home for anyone's loved ones.
Everyone is very caring, polite care home to tell everyone. Like the staff, they talk to my husband in a lovely way. Look forward to seeing him though he doesn't remember me now.
I've visited my friend's brother every week for a year and I've seen nothing but kindness and care from everyone. It's clean and it's a pleasure to visit and food is very good as I've eaten there, you can pay to eat with your family. I've got nothing but praise for staff.
The staff are very polite, very helpful and always on hand to help. Food is very good. All in all, very happy that the care my mother gets is top-notch. You know that your loved one is well cared for.
Visited my cousin for the first time whilst away on holiday in the area. What a lovely welcome I had was shown the room, lovely clean, tidy odourless home, everyone was welcoming and made me feel welcome upon entering for my visit.
