View Full Details of Woodbury CourtMy Mum moved into Woodbury Court as a temporary resident in July 2024 and became a permanent resident in December 2024. When I left my first review I was still bowled over with the sparkling clean, happy, welcoming place that I found my Mum had been so lucky to have been moved to! My initial feelings of total relief have not diminished. Every time I visit I feel that I am visiting Mum at home rather than in some 'institution'. The Staff have been outstanding. All are friendly and so willing to help, totally impressive in their commitment to both residents and visitors. My Mum says herself that she never expecting to live as long as she has! All I can say is that her life has been made as comfortable as possible and any new concerns for her health or wellbeing are responded to quickly. My only wish is that my Mum would take part in more of the activities on offer. You can take a horse to water...! Thank you all so much for your excellent care.
My mother was quite poorly and had to be admitted to hospital and it was a challenging time for us all. The team were very supportive of us while my mother was in hospital and when making the necessary arrangements for her care once she returned. I feel confident that my mother is safe and receives the care she needs.
Woodbury Court is a very clean bright and friendly care home. All staff are very helpful great with the residents and lots of activities going on and trips out. My mother has been her almost 4 years now and have no regrets what so ever and mum is so happy hear.
I don't no where to start, other than brilliant. The staff the managers are all excellent and go above and beyond can't speak highly enough of them all feel like we have struck up a good friendship with them all. Mum had to move care homes along with her husband who has sadly passed away quite recently but not just because he passed the staff have beenabsolutely brilliant with mum and of our dad.it has been a brilliant move for them. There's more going on for them than they ever had ( think I might move in myself ) . Nothing is never to much trouble for any of them. Mum is happy here and that makes us happy. Keep up the excellent work you all do. Xx
Mum joined Woodbury Court from mid-March 2025, from viewing to moving in. The manager and all the staff have been so professional, caring, understanding & so respectful towards Mum. One of the most important things we needed for Mum was that she felt safe and cared for - she does every day. The process to help Mum settle in was total reassurance & needing to get to know each other so Mum has help and assistance in the way she feels comfortable - never intrusive. Any issues have been dealt with immediately, nothing is ever too much trouble. Reassurance for myself during this process is always given with thought, patience and care from the Management Team and the carers on the front line looking after Mum everyday with respect, care and understanding. I'm so relieved and grateful to Woodbury Court to be looking after my Mum the way they do - thank you for making Mum feel "at home" looked after and that she matters - priceless.
My parents have been with Woodbury Court since January 2025 , the care they have both received is excellent in every way . Unfortunately we lost our Step Dad last month , the staff went an extra mile in caring not only for our dad but making sure mum had all the support she needed at this sad time . All the staff were on hand night and day, we can't thank them enough for all they have done . They have many activities and day trips for the residents much more than other homes which is an extra bonus . Any problems or concerns are dealt with by management or staff in a timely manner . Thank you to all the staff and management it was the best move we could have wished for .
Having viewed a number of care homes we chose Woodbury Court on the basis of the experience (at this site) of the leadership team and quality of the building. We have been delighted by our choice. Both the manager and another member of staff are the perfect combination of care and professionalism. Their staff appear to be well trained and above all demonstrate a really caring approach to our mother, who at times can be very difficult. We would not hesitate to recommend this care home.
My Dad arrived at his new home on 2nd June and was immediately very warmly welcomed and settled into his room. The staff at Woodbury Court are so friendly, always with a big smile. It took a little while for Dad to settle in, but all his requirements have been met. I can now rest easy in the knowledge that he is living in a safe and caring environment. The staff organise many activities for the residents which means there is always something to engage and entertain them. Three good meals a day and coffee, tea and biscuits in between, served in the room, if requested. I chose this care home above all else because the staff were so lovely. Everything has lived up to my hopes and expectations. I cannot recommend Woodbury Court enough .
Woodbury Court has proven over and over again without doubt that it is the very best place for my dad to be! Since he has been there he has unbelievably blossomed both physically and mentally and continues to do so under their stimulating care. The entire team are truly lovely and have been expertly assembled by management. Testament to this is the fact hat since he arrived at the premises two years ago he has been happy and content.
My Mother has been here since the end of February, I have found every one to be extremely helpful and friendly. My mother is the happiest I have seen her in along time, The staff encourage my mother to get out of bed which was not happening at her home with the care that was being provided. She would not even let them open the curtains. I have seen life back in my mothers eyes, laughing and interacting with other residents and staff. My only issue so far has been with my mothers social worker, which is nothing to do with the home. The manager and another member of staff have been amazing with help and support. The care staff looking after my mother have patience of a saint. Another member of staff has an amazing talent and my brother and myself could not be happier my mother is here. Thank you all so much I am sorry I can not remember all your names but you are all fabulous. THANK YOU.
Woodbury Court is well run and the staff are motivated into providing the best care. As a relative who regularly attends the home I see the excellent care my mum gets. I attend all the relative meetings and our views are listened too. Mum is happy and safe making it less distressing for us seeing dementia taking her away from us.
My sister has been a resident for over 2 years and we can't fault the care and service provided. She has Downs syndrome plus dementia and all of the carers and staff have been fantastic. It is real peace of mind to know your nearest and dearest are being well looked after and we have reached the point now where she is so engaged with the activities that we sometimes need to cut our visits short which is testament to how happy she is. In short it is a fabulous place run and staffed by fantastic people and we feel grateful we found it.
My mum was transferred to Woodbury Court in March 2025 from another local care home to be with her partner. The move was managed quickly & efficiently with care and respect. My mum was delighted to be reunited with her partner, the staff have done everything to help them stay together which we so much appreciate. I cannot fault the care she is receiving in such a comfortable, clean and caring environment.
My mother has borderline dementia as yet undiagnosed. The entire staff at Woodbury Court from the cleaners and catering staff and domestic helpers, the lovely receptionist, right through to the Home Manager and the Head Office staff are just simply, incredible. In the ten years of caring for my mum I have never ever experienced a level of compassion such as they have for their service users. Simply never ever been anything less than faultless. To the extent I burst into tears the first time mum was admitted. For once I knew I could go home after visiting knowing mum was safe and loved and cared for. A diamond, superlative and beyond a sea of others who sadly treat elderly people as just a outright profit margin. Love the entire staff, the home and all it stands for.
Mum has resided at Woodbury Court since January 2024 and it's a big relief to know that she's in a safe environment with such caring, compassionate staff around her. There's so much that residents can get involved with if they wish. I can't speak highly enough of the staff, from the laundry ladies up to management. They've all got time for you if you need to speak to them about anything. The home is kept spotlessly clean every day too! Since living at Woodbury, Mum has had her life so much more enriched by all the activities that are on offer to residents. The relief when Mum moved into Woodbury Court was massive, as it removed the stress and worrying about her living alone, when it was clear she was struggling on her own. Thank you Woodbury team for everything you do.
Mum transferred to Woodbury after a hospital stay highlighted that she could no longer live safely independently. Despite our concerns, Mum has settled in really well and loves her room which is so important to her as she enjoys spending time in her own company. There's always an abundance of staff around whenever we visit, and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the home feels very positive and staff are genuinely invested in the care of residents. The management team are also excellent: visible, approachable, and responsive. There is a genuine enthusiasm about finding ways to ensure residents feel at home from home, and a willingness to resolve any issue no matter how trivial or important. At what has been a challenging and concerning time for us as a family, Woodbury Court staff have been consistent, dependable and supportive. It has made all the difference.
My mother has been here for four years now and I am so pleased with her care. Relatives are made so welcome and meetings and information events are planned for them. Special events are organised such as Winter Wonderland and it is clear the staff know the residents and their needs well. Any concerns are acted upon quickly. The management staff are also so giving of their time for example if we need advice.
My dad was so happy at the care home. All staff looked after him very well, from chatting to him, showering him too, helping him with his food. Now dad goes every Friday and loves it... as again all staff chat to him, and he has a shower. He eats very well and the entertainment again is brilliant... one carer in particular really makes effort with entertainment when he's on...but I can't say enough about all staff, so friendly and helpful. Thanks again.
Nan is in her 5th year at Woodbury Court and can't fault them, the staff are amazing, always approachable, and the care Nan gets is amazing, she is really happy here, if she can't be at home with us there is no where else I would want her to be.
After a two-week stay in hospital, I was transferred to Woodbury Court Care Home for rehabilitation and time to get my own living arrangements sorted out. Although I was only originally scheduled for a 4-week stay this eventuality was extended to 8 weeks. From the time I set foot into this care home until I left, I was treated with love and kindness by these amazing professional carers. They would treat me as a friend rather than a patient and would always go out of their way to brighten up my day. We had so many great days of conversation and laughter and the time just shot by. I made a lot of friends there and although I knew it was my time to leave I was sad to go. I will god willing be able to return as a visitor in the future to say hello and catch up on all the latest news. For the time being I will stay in touch through their website and to see what great activities they are getting up to. A big thanks again to manager and staff who made my stay a great experience.
