View Full Details of Craigend Gardens Care UnitI am extremely pleased with the care given to my dad. He is treated with respect and dignity (even when he's not in a good mood). I have never heard anyone raise their voice to him or be anything but pleasant. There are lots of activities to stimulate the residents which dad enjoys taking part in. Anything I have asked the care/nursing staff about is always answered/acted on. If they are unsure of the answer they will go and find out and come back to me with the information I requested. The team in Craigend Gardens are all dedicated, hard working and are second to none.
Since Mum has been in the home I can honestly say staff, nurses and management are very hard working. I have had no problems with anything in the home.
Fantastic care home. Great staff. Can't fault the carers one bit. Over the past year the home has just flourished and it's a delight to see. The staff are the absolute best and they genuinely make meaning full connections.
Overall I am very happy with the care & service my dad receives. Staff are attentive & always treat my dad with respect. I feel I am kept informed of his progress.
Since my brother arrived at the care home he has come on leaps and bounds. His walking has improved 100% he has gained weight through proper care. It is general well being has improved and we now can have proper conversations.
I am the attorney for my uncle, who has been a Craigend Gardens resident for nearly two years now. My aunt was also a resident but sadly died last year. Another review talks of the difference between the level of care provided in hospital and that at Craigend. I couldn't agree more. My uncle - who has vascular dementia - had to be admitted to hospital and regressed considerably when there. Craigend manager and deputy visited him, saw this, berated the staff there, insisted on bringing him back to Craigend (with my full support) and within two weeks he was transformed. He is happy and I can't ask for more. May aunt chose to die at Craigend - and I witnessed an outstanding level of personal care and support which went far beyond the job. Genuinely caring and decent people. It is not the plushest place - but who cares when they are happy and so well supported.
My wife's is resident of Craigend Gardens in which staff are very friendly and helpful also rooms are kept clean. And you are made very welcome and also friendly and welcoming they keep you updated what's happening.
My mum has been resident since August 2024 and I couldn't be happier with the care that she receives. The staff are always keen to help and are very supportive with her needs. Any of our requests for additional help for my mother has been implemented.
My mum recently moved into craigend gardens Her admission was really smooth the staff are amazing with her and nothing is a bother My mum says she is very happy and feels safe in craigend gardens I don't have any concerns they are amazing we were even allowed to paint her room Although the the handy man done this for us thank you
First visit to see my aunt and was really impressed with the team, how helpful they are and how much they look after the residents. So happy my aunt is there - she looks amazing vibrant now.
I have been visiting my brother in the home for the past year and phoning to speak every night. I have always found all the staff to be very efficient yet warm and welcoming. My brother recently passed away in hospital. I can only say that while I was not impressed with the casualty department of the hospital, the comparison and care provided by the entire staff has been exemplary. This home represents the pinnacle of excellence.
I have found all staff to be courteous to both myself and my wife. My wife is totally incontinent, so all staff must have the patience of saints to cope with her daily needs.
I have been really pleased with the care my brother is receiving at Craigend Gardens. The staff are friendly, thoughtful and supportive. We have seen a marked improvement in his health and wellbeing. Whenever I visit the staff treat all residents with care and respect. Any concerns we have had have been dealt with quickly and the staff always have time to listen and reassure.
My brother has been suffering from delirium. Since being moved to Craigend Gardens he is starting to take an interest in things and is more contented, and less agitated. He is very well looked after by excellent staff.
My mother became a resident in September 2022 under different management. My review then would have been 1 star. However, there is now a new management team in place and there is an overall improvement in all aspects. Staff are friendly and attentive, the communication has greatly improved also. Activities have also improved, whereas in 2022 they were few and far between.
My brother unfortunately had to go into care. He has been a resident at the home since April 2019. Myself and members of my family are very happy with the care he receives at the home. He settled in really well. We did have a couple of hiccups along the way but they were resolved in a professional manner. I can now sleep at night and go on holiday with the knowledge that he is being well cared for.
My mother in law has been in Craigend Gardens for just over a year now and the family are very happy that she is in such a good and caring environment. My mother in law has always been a nervous and anxious person. The staff are all extremely kind and caring and they manage to comfort her and settle her. We are happy that there is plenty of activities and I know the staff try to encourage her to join in. Taking everything into consideration - food, activities and attention and dedicated staff - we see that we are comforted knowing she is happy and safe.
