My mum has been in Manor Cottage for almost 4 years. I can say without exception everyone has been very kind and caring. The food is fabulous and there are activities every day. Most importantly my mum is very happy and so am I.

My brother and I had viewed several other much larger homes and didn't like the atmosphere. This home is very small in comparison, and on initial viewing with Debbie, we both felt the home had a good vibe. We felt that it was just like being at home, not in an institution. The residents are treated
like a member of a large family which we liked. Mum was treated very well considering she was suffering with a session of delirium after her stay in hospital which made her very difficult to deal with. The staff were great and supportive and took it in stride. Although mum was there for a relatively short time of a few weeks, she did start to calm towards the end, but in all fairness mum was very frail and ill at this point in her life. Mum was bed ridden during her time there so didn't try out the activities etc.. but I could see them going on with other residents who were enjoying it. The house is very old 15th century, so all the walls and floors are wonky, but its quirky in a good way!

My aunt stayed at this residential home for a couple of weeks, and it was outstanding. The staff were incredibly caring and attentive, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that felt like family. The facilities were spotless, the meals delicious and nutritious, and the activities kept her engaged
and happy. Even in such a short time, we saw a real positive difference in her wellbeing. Highly recommended - five stars without hesitation."

Staff are really friendly, caring and upbeat. I like that it is a small home. Mum enjoys the garden. Good activity programme too. We can visit anytime too which I really do appreciate as do my sisters.

Mum has now been with Manor Cottage for just over 3 years, she classes this as her home and can tell she is happy there. The staff are amazing with her, very kind and supportive. Her Alzheimer's has got worse lately but the care she receives is great. The staff are very informative of any needs that
mum may require, with a quick reassuring call or word when we go into see mum. Thanks for making mum happy.

My Mum has been living at Manor Cottage for a year now. She took her time to settle in, and she now very much sees Manor Cottage as her home. She is well-cared for, the staff are always friendly and helpful, and it is incredibly reassuring to know that she is safe and being looked after. The best
part, apart from getting to see her and taking her out from time to time, is how happy she looks during many of the activities. I think the exercise sessions are her favourite, although the look of delight on her face when she recently handled a python does make me wonder why we didn't have more exotic pets when we were growing up!
It was far from an easy decision to move Mum into a home. Manor Cottage made it very easy, and the last year has proved that it was an excellent choice.

My mother has been a resident at Manor Cottage for around 3 months, and they really look after her. She was struggling at home (she's 92) and she seems much better for their care.
They have a hairdresser that visits, plus she loves having her nails done
It's also a load off of the family's minds
knowing that she not on her own

Finding a care home for my 97 year old sister near her own home was not an easy task but the standards and ratings shown on the internet were excellent and it was a great location. The cosy and homely feel to the place was welcoming and the staff were so helpful and caring. I really felt that my
sister could not have been in better hands and I was impressed by the communication between the staff. When I phoned to make enquiries, the person I spoke to knew all about my sister and didn't need to waste time going to find out - just like a family. I would definitely recommend this home (and that's what it was) to anyone wanting somewhere for a relative to be cared for in a sensitive and respectful way.

Mum recently moved into Manor Cottage and has been supported so well to settle in. The staff all seem caring friendly and helpful and have an understanding of Mum's needs.
They are always responsive to any concerns or worries and resolve these quickly.
It is good you can visit whenever you like
and stay for meals as well if you wish.
I would recommend Manor Cottage as a home for people to live in.

I must say it is tip-top. They are caring considerate and kind whenever you ask the staff for anything or to do anything. The home is always neat and tidy lots of activities and most of all if I needed to go in a home I would choose Manor Cottage.

My mum has been a resident of Manor Cottage since July 2019. I was independently caring for Mum whilst also working full-time and looking after a family of my own. During that time, my mum's safety was my biggest priority but I also was very sceptical about moving her out of her home. Once my Mum
moved in, every worry was immediately put to rest. The team at Manor Cottage has been nothing short of amazing. They are kind and compassionate people who take great pride in what they do but they also perform their job roles to an impeccable standard. In the 5 years, my Mum has been a resident although her health has declined; her happiness and well-being have improved massively. The quality of life she has within the home is something we could have never provided her with and seeing her thrive in this environment has been a massive gift to our family. I could not recommend Manor Cottage highly enough to anyone looking for care for a family member.

My brother has been a resident at Manor Cottage for nearly 2 years. He is very comfortable living at the home, there are plenty of activities if he wants to take part. All the staff are very professional and lovely. We were lucky to get a place for him at the time.

Manor Cottage is such a lovely care home, with an excellent team to provide care, respect and a high standard of living for its residents.
We are so happy that my mum is well looked after, there are so many activities for her to get involved with and lots of lovely outings too.

The staff at Manor Cottage went above and beyond to provide a special day for Mum's birthday. We had a delicious lunch and a beautiful birthday cake. Mum was so happy.
The care the staff give to my mother is excellent and it is always delivered with consideration and compassion. Well done and keep

Manor House is just full of wonderful kind, caring People. My Mum was there for almost 4 years and was so well looked after, I don't know what we would have done without them. We would recommend them to anyone.

My Mother-in-Law has now been at Manor Cottage for 3 months and her care has been great since the day she went in on respite care. Every member of staff is friendly and it is obvious to see that they have good relationships with the residents. I would also like to say thank you to the staff that you
don't see of which there are many! The daily updates on social media keep you up to date with each day's activities. Communication is good and the staff are very open to emailing or phoning at any point if you have any questions. A Doctor is also on hand weekly to alleviate any concerns and to keep an eye on the medication etc. My Mother-in-Law seems very content here.

An excellent care home tailored to individual needs. My mother has lived there for nearly a year, she settled very quickly, as the staff understood her needs very quickly and very well and has thoroughly enjoyed living at Manor Cottage. There are lots of activities and stimulation on a daily basis
for the residents.

Mum is very happy here and is looked after by friendly caring staff. Communication is excellent. We are kept fully informed about Mum's needs, care and the home's programme of activities etc. Mum has been a resident now for over 3 years and in all that time we have never had any reason to doubt the
love and care Mum receives.

The whole team at Manor Cottage deserve every credit for their kindness, devotion and empathy with regards to all they do. Caring as a profession is no mere sinecure. The staff team made a huge difference to my mother in her final months. The small details in their care made every difference.
The
staff were all a great support and each one a kind and calm presence in all their dealings with my mother and the extended family and friends who came to visit her. The whole experience was one of excellence, care and a deep understanding of what is important to make a difficult situation not only tenable but enjoyable. No praise can do justice to the staff and ethos at The Manor Cottage. A quite unique haven and a care home, where the abstract of 'home' is very much to the fore. Everyone at The Manor Cottage deserves my thanks and praise.

My dear brother-in-law spent his final year at Manor Cottage and we as a family and he himself were extremely pleased with his support and care. Good food, flexibility and great support to family also. It was a definite home from home with the emphasis on care. His end of life was managed extremely
well with support for all the family. He was treated with love and the greatest of respect always. We couldn't have wanted a better care home for him and will always be extremely grateful for everything they did.
