View Full Details of Caledonian CourtMy mum was transferred from the acute hospital to Caledonian Court in December 2023. Since taking up residence there she has been extremely well supported by staff who offer truly personalised care. They take time and really get to know the individual and all aspects of their personality which is in turn reflected in the support provided. Her room is both comfortable and functional with high housekeeping standards. Meals are varied and she has commented on how much she enjoys the food. Staff have always been helpful and approachable and follow up on any specific requests made. As a family we are happy knowing my mum is safe and well cared for in all respects.
Caledonian Court is an excellent care home. The staff are friendly, helpful and very approachable. The carers are courteous, patient and kind to the residents, they have time for each and are very caring. My Dad is kept spotlessly clean and fresh . He is well fed by the catering staff and helped at mealtimes by the carers. The home is kept clean and tidy by the domestic staff and his clothes and bedding always fresh and clean. The residents are entertained frequently by visiting singers and musicians and often have functions to celebrate different times of the year. I should say too that the staff are excellent at keeping in touch should any concerns arise . My Dad is very settled and happy in Caledonian Court, which is a great comfort to me.
Staff are very friendly and always willing to find solutions to any issues that occur. Lots of activities to choose from (crafts, art, bowling, gardening etc) which includes different entertainment every week. Residents are given the opportunity to be included in any new ideas proposed.
My mother-in-law became a resident in the Caledonian Court community in December 2023. We were initially worried about how she would react to moving into care after living in her own home until she was 95. We had no cause to worry. The staff from the cleaners, care staff, and medical staff up to the manager looked after her really well. Helped her to integrate into the community. They also allayed any concerns we had about her. The care home has taken years off her and she enjoys her new life in Caledonian Court Larbert.
My friend always appears very happy and content when I visit. The staff and management are very friendly and approachable and the atmosphere in the home is wonderful. There is always something going on and the staff always have a smile on their faces.
We are happy with the care and attention she receives from the day staff. The night shift, at times, could be a bit more understanding, especially to the needs of the resident and taking their age into consideration.
My mother's room is very good, kept clean. All staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. We’re always made welcome when visiting Mum. The activities regularly organised are very good and they make sure Mum is included and participates.
Caledonian Court give both me and my sister the peace of mind that our mum is happy, safe and very well looked after. She has such a connection with all carers and office staff, she is very settled and we can never thank them all enough, we could not be more grateful for her care. The kindness and respect she gets is second to none.
First of all, thanks very much for all you do! Staff are friendly and the home is well looked after. There is plenty of space to get around inside and outside. May I suggest however, that something is done to improve wheelchair access at the front door? It is possible to manage but it could be made easier. I am fit but I imagine others could really struggle. Oftentimes, I am at the door, pushing a chair in or out, with no one else around except the person in the chair. The outside doors are heavy and the metal ramp on the ground makes it really awkward to get through. It’s only a suggestion. Thanks again!
My mother has been in Caledonian Court for only a few months, but in that short time she has settled very well. Staff are wonderful and very understanding of residents' needs. The management are first class and very approachable, no problem you take to them or the admin team is left unattended. In the time Mum has been there not only has she started to make it her home, but my husband and I are also feeling part of the Caledonian family as we are made very welcome and now help with little jobs around the home, which is good for us and hopefully helpful for them.
My mother, born 23.01.1933, died while resident at the home. I and my brother have nothing but praise for the staff who cared for my mother over a period of twenty months. She was diagnosed with vascular dementia in early 2021 and died peacefully this month. My mother was obviously well cared for and when she had an occasional, lucid period, herself praised the staff and was often heard issuing their instructions for the day, she had a wicked sense of humour and the staff often engaged in humorous exchanges with her. Again, my thanks to the management and all the staff.
I have always been extremely grateful for the excellent care my husband has received. Staff are extremely kind towards myself and my husband. Home managers and all who work in different departments are extremely pleasant.
Since my friend went into Caledonian Court Care Home both me and my wife have found the staff to be very good, the place is clean, the food is alright and the entertainment is of a high standard. A difficult job to undertake but the manager is very good and the home is a credit to her skills.
The care home and staff have been 100% supportive to my mum and family. From the day my mum went in she was made to feel at home and nothing was too much if she needed. The staff at the office and senior staff supported myself and sister through a very hard time. Can't thank them enough.
The care and attention given to Dad has given us peace of mind that he will settle in long-term.
I have been very happy with the care given to my mother since she has been at Caledonian Court Care Home. Mum had difficulty settling in and she has always been treated with kindness and patience. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Very accommodating. They are a credit to your company and deserve praise for their efforts.
My mother-in-law has been in the home for about three years now. The staff are caring, attentive and friendly. She is well cared for and content. Although covid and being locked down has taken a toll on her physical health, she is still happy and contented; but unable to walk now. My niece was married in September 2021 and a carer accompanied mum to the wedding, it was a lady from the white wing and she was excellent with mum and blended right in on the day. I can't praise her enough.
I recently visited Caledonian Court Care Home with a friend to see their family member. The home was welcoming, friendly, clean and there was lots going on for the people who live there. The manager took the time to say hello as well as the care and nursing staff.
Anytime I've been to visit my father I can only leave the premises and say he's been fine, relaxed and happy. Tells me he's been looked after, fed, washed and comfortable. That keeps me happy and contented!
Mum has been a resident for almost five years. As a family, we are delighted with the care and love that she receives. Mum has also required several hospital appointments, which have been no trouble for the staff to arrange. Perhaps the only slight annoyance, if that the home mobile phone doesn't get a signal in some rooms too far away from the base unit at the nurse's station. However, if we have required to speak to Mum, she was wheelchaired to an area that gets a good signal. Many staff have let Mum use their own phones.
